    • ok so here goes, i had been doing so well and then survivor night happens. Two out of the three people were not originally going to come over put they ended up coming. I really like when they come becuase they are the only people i really know over here since we have moved and i get along with the girl. So we barbaques, i had pork shoulder steak, ok , and then it went bad, cup of corn with mayo and chili powder and lemon, (HMMM) but a no no on the corn, and then i had 3 small forks of potato salad, (NONONONO) and then i had a small up of ice cream :no :confused :yikes :raving . What im gonna do is start again (thats pretty much the only thing i can do) and if i stick to it four days in a row i should be in ketosis. Going to GNC to get some sticks (cheap there) and that way once thursday comes around again i know i will not want to cheat because i know i will be in ketosis. In the beginning when i would use the sticks i was kinda easy because my goal was to see purple everyday and it worked, so im going to start doing that again. Will let you know how im doing on monday which should be day four :yes .

      • Hi Shelly!
        Today is a new day. Start off with induction and get back into the swing of things. I've been doing good over the last few days. Last night I got on the treadmill and walked 2 miles in 35 minutes. Worked my butt off. Anyways, knowing that my high school reunion is just around the corner, i'm needing to get very serious on this. I want to lose at least 20 lbs. by mid July.

          i think that would be like top modivation. Reunion, seeing ex boyfriends, :yikes . Hey i know you can do it, 20 pounds by mid july way possible. i dont know if its possible but i really hoping on losing 20 by july 1. thats 10 lbs a month and a mig (6lbs) more. I got on the scale today and was at 176. I had avoided it after last time (tuesday i was at 178 because of tom coming). I feel a little better. Hoping that i wont retain alot of water this time.

              I think that mine will be 190lbs by May 7th, which is my 22nd birthday..but if I can't do that, then 190lbs by May 17th which is graduation. I won't stress myself over it, just try really hard to do it.

              • Today I did horrible. We went out to eat at a mexican restaurant called Agave that opened by our house that my husband has been wanting to try. I didn't eat breakfast. Was in a hurry to go out to garage sales. Anyways, by the time we went out I was starving. It was my intention to be good but when the chips came with 3 different salsas, it was all over. I had fajitas. Had one corn tortilla and some rice and beans. It didn't stop there. Afterwards we went to a place called Stone Cold Creamery where you basically create your own flavor of ice cream. You pick your base flavor and do the add in's. I had a vanilla ice cream with caramel, banana, marshmellows, and brownie. Let me tell you it was wonderful until all the food hit me shortly afterwards. I felt like crap. I felt like Jaba the Hut. Felt very fat, bloated, and somewhat cramped. I walked/jogged 2 miles on my treadmill to hopefully eliminate a huge gain. I'm drinking lots of water. Sometimes I don't know why i'm so stupid. We were going to go to Islands and I was going to get the chicken, but there was a long wait to we went to the mexican place.

                I hit this one garage sale this morning and got a huge bag of clothes for myself for $11.50. I got a few pairs of Gap pants, some Gap shirts, a Calvin Klein exercise outfit, and some other cute shirts. My clothes were getting to loose so I needed some new ones.

                Needless to say, i'm very disappointed about my cheat today. I was doing really well the last couple of days.

                Weekends seem to be a killer for me when i'm out with my husband and kids.

                I hope that everyone else is doing better.

                I'm not gonna reach my goal if I keep doing this type of stuff!!!!

                • Don't feel too bad vikski, your not alone :nono

                  I've had been so good over the past 8 days and then blew it last night
                  when I went out for a meal. My meal was totally cheat free, everyone
                  came back for drink and nibbles... The BLOODY peanuts came out and
                  I had some, followed by 2 sweets :no.

                  I feel so cross this morning as a result :raving. Why did I this I ask myself again??

                  However todays a new day :joy.

                    i agree with both sally and vicki. Am in your shoes at this moment. I keep telling myself ok tom is coming im bloating and retaining water again becuase of him but im gonna stay clean,,,,, and boom,,,i mess up.Messes up on friday clean on saturday and boom messed up on sunday and then this morning for breakfast. One of the ways that would help me out when i used to do diets back at home when i was working. Co Workers and I would make payments. We would weigh ourselfs every week and if we lost Good, if we gained we would have pay 50 cents to 1 dollar for each pound. and say one week you would gain and the next you would loose that pound you gained the money stayed in the pot. So when the final day came to weigh in the one who lost the most weight won the pot. Wish we could do that here, kinda keep it competative, a little motivation or something? If you are up for it, i think it would be really good for us. and just think the winner after losing the most weight gets the money to spend on rewards.
                    So guess im gonna say that although i messed up breakfast today, im gonna start clean again. Im hoping i can do this, i know i can. its in my heart. I can. I can. I can.

                    • Somehow this morning I woke up and hit the 40 lb. loss. I'm happy about it, but think of what I could of done with a clean induction. It's bitter sweet I guess. I brought induction friendly food to work today. I actually got some compliments today about my loss. I think that is what is going to keep me on track. 50 lbs. here I come!!!!!

                        I'm up for it!! I've been totally shocking this weekend, after saturday
                        I kind of went downhill...

                        Need to think of a way we can do this that has an effect simular to your work set-up.

                          • I've noticed that my problem is this: My husband was supposedly doing Atkins with me but then went off the plan. When we go out I want to eat some of the stuff that he eats such as the chips and salsa on Saturday. This is something that I love, but apparently doesn't love me back. It loves to grab hold of me somewhere and plant itself until I lose the fat. Another problem was that when I went out I was starving making any food appealing. I just need to be more prepared and eat when i'm supposed to. I guess I have to plan a little better. My birthday this week is making me a little nervous. A lady at work always makes cakes for peoples birthdays. I don't think she wants to make me an Atkins style cheesecake unfortunately.

                            • I have thought about it and i find that i do good until i get in the real world. Thursdays around friends and being that TOM is coming it all hits at once. I usually do good monday thru wedsday and thurdsay is ok until night and then if i mess up on thursay i tell myself im not gonna let it get to me im gonna start again and then i mess up and again and start again and then im good monday threw thurday. I think that one thing Boot camp should have changed that i didnt mention or realize until it was to late to mention was that it would be good if boot camp learing was 1 week and then they would let us out into the reall world for the last week still having to visit and edit our food journals. They could monitor us quietly and then at the end of the real world experience then graduate of we did ok in the real world to.
                              I guess all i can do is keep pushing myself. There is no doubt im my mind that it would be alot harder had i not had support from the ADBB.

                              • Yes I know why I cheated, TOM any day and allowed myself to get too hungry with no legal snacks around :anger. Really slipped up but back on track at the moment, just can't excerise because of my recent surgery.

                                Really odd, even though I cheated I have still managed to lose a pound!
