    Thanks Julie!

One word about IHOP, at least I think it is IHOP. When you order an omelot, you better check to see what they put in it. They add pancake batter to thicken it! Yeah, you heard me right, PANCAKE BATTER. Can you imagine?

Speaking of which, we are going out with friends after church for brunch.

This morning so far I started light with 1 cup Kashi Go Lean Cereal with 1/2 cup of soy milk.

That is par for the course for me. In my case, it hasn't been a problem... my losses have been steady. But that's just me... I've kinda figured out how much my body needs. Since everyone is so unique, though, I do think that it could be a problem in some situations.

Yep, I knew this. And, they have it printed on their menus now that their omelettes contain their famous pancake batter to make them fluffier. That's why I get fried eggs. It's the sausage and bacon that was grossing me out.

As y'all may have seen in another thread, today was weigh day for me and I lost 2 pounds... yay!

OK I don't know what the heck is going on with me. I'm lost and I'm

Last Wednesday I weighed for the Halloween Challenge, and weighed 172lbs...on and off the scale a few times to make sure...yup 172lbs.

So then I start "Steppin Back"...today I weighed myself even though some little voice inside of me said "don't do it" I did it. 173.5lbs!!!!! WTH?

Everyone has seen my menu's. So whats up with this? Any suggestions? Even though I state numbers in here cuz we need some guideline....my goal is to fit into a universal size 10 clothing...you know the ones with no stretch...and do it without a muffin top! I think that will require me getting into the 160's!

So there it is...not a happy camper today.

I am wondering....I'm 49 and premenopausal and VERY irregular. Sometimes TOM makes a drive by but doesn't stop. You feel symptoms that he may stop but nothing. Could that be it possibly as we all know we retain water then and maybe thats whats happening. I dunno, just a guess.

Feedback on this would be appreciated! Thanks

I have a water retention gain for 3 weeks out of a month. one week before tom, the week of and about 4 days after, so it IS possible you're bloated. There'fore I only take an official weigh ONCE per month. I'm on that scale every day but that ONCE a MONTH official weigh in is all I worry about. They key is doing it on that one week a month I don't retain fluids, lol. It's nothing Sweet. It will pass, get your water in and flush it out.

Oh, yeah... I definitely feel the side-effects of TOM even on the occasions that he doesn't officially stop by. Like we were saying earlier, it is our age and stage of life that we are in that is screwing us up. Today is day 9 of TOM hanging on for dear life with me... this after not showing his stupid face for 2 months. Arrgg!

Just hang in there... I know that's hard to do. I'm sincerely thinking that you will have a whoosh soon. You're doing everything right!

                    Thanks Ladies!

                    Ok, I'm over it!

It is what it is right?

I'm just going to continue doing everything "RIGHT" and it will happen when it happens.

You are right Mich...we are too hard on ourselves and as much as I don't want to define myself by a number on the scale, its the only way we know how to get a goal out there for the world to see.

So, I'm just gonna continue and TRY not to worry so much about that number and let my body do its thing in its own time.

Thanks again girls...you are all wonderful supportive friends

Hey Sweet...yes it is TOM just sending his negative vibes without actually making an appearance. The pill I'm on makes him visit maybe once out of three times, but I always think it is coming because I get the cramps, and especially the 3 pound gain ...so don't sweat it...this too shall pass...

Yep I begin to gain a day or two before TOM and don't lose it until it's over...so that's at least a week that I'm heavier/don't lose. Guys are so lucky...

Liz--DON'T use fake crabmeat. Have you ever checked the ingredients and nutritional info? Imitation crab has added sugar, and lots of it, as well as some other starches/fillers. I think it's something like 14g carbs per serving. You don't want that crap in your body.

*MY* variation of the meat salad on vegetable recipe is chicken salad (made from canned chicken with mayo, a bit of mustard, salt, pepper) mixed with cheese. I put this into bell pepper halves, and roast in the oven until the cheese melts. I've also had a slice from those prosciutto/mozzarella rolls and put that into a bell pepper half. YUMMMMMMMM!

I don't have a problem with not eating enough--generally I eat like a horse--my menus aren't too different than Don's! (I'm not calling you a horse, D, I just think you have a healthy appetite.) Yesterday I was just stuck in an out-of-town workshop with limited lunch choices, and afterwards I didn't stop to eat because I wanted to make it home before dark so I didn't hit 32 antelope and 28 deer with my jeep.

If anything I think I might have been eating too much? But we shall see. Now that cottage cheese is out of the picture I might up my calories again.

                          Sunday...breakfast

3 eggs with 1/2 cup spinach, 3 sausage rounds (broken up), 1/8 cup cheddar cheese, 1/4 green bell pepper, 1/8 cup pine nuts. I mixed this all together in a fry pan so it was sort of a scrambled egg mixture. 16oz bottle of water, vitamins, supplements.

Of course when I am burning more than 500 additional calories a day in exercise, it sure helps. I also appreciate you not calling me a horse. LOL BTW, have you seen my lastest weight loss photo??? Well, I think it worked out that way today because this is day 9... I don't feel bloated or anything, it's just his "footprints" that won't go away. Last weigh day, I was on day 2 and I think it is why I lost 1 pound that week instead of 2.

Don, your new weight loss photo is great! LOL!

Julie, I have found it hard to make up those calories and carbs from the elimination of cottage cheese and yogurt. But that's probably because I can't tolerate much from the other rungs, and still lose weight. Perhaps you will find enough things to make it up easier than I have.
