Not saying that's your problem at all... just what I found with me.
Adena - I am sort of in a "diet" mentality, too. Only very rarely do I eat salad dressing... never do dips. Most of my veggies are plain. Except those grean beans tonight! They are fried in butter and are awesome. I'll probably have some again tommorow.

Well ok, I'll admit something. I haven't recorded my food as far as listing it here because I had to make do. Before stepping into this step back, i had my glucerna cereal and the sf lc bread already, and in a pinch I've had the sf bread once (1 slice!!) and another time I had the Glucerna cereal. And then last night I had some LC ice cream. I am stressed out but I'm am keeping my numbers accurate. I can't afford to ignore the bread and cereal sitting in my fridge waiting to rot.

                  There. Confession out.

Yesterday i had terrible cravings, the kids left oreo cookies on the counter and it took all i had to hold back....a few months ago, i would have devoured 1/2 of those, and it's funny how i have not completely trained myself to not go for them.....just the look of the package does it for me!!!! and then i took the kids to mcdonalds after evening church and I wanted that double cheeseburger my dd was eating so bad, i kept looking at it, but then kindly reminded myself of what i used to look like......so the temptation went away.
so far today i have had
                      1 minute muffin...needed the fiber
chicken breast and 1 cup of brocolli.
1 cup of coffee and about 64 oz of water.

I wayyyyy overate Saturday (went to a wedding) and then out to dinner. I had about 2500 calories that day (all legal). Sunday I ended up not eating enough and was hungry and had low blood sugar issues. My computer was on the fritz at home and I didn't get it all plugged into fitday until this morning. Ugh.

Today I'm back on a smooth road.

Breakfast 3 extra large boiled eggs with 1 tbspn mayo and 200 grams of jicama (12 net carbs)
Lunch: 1 pound frozen cauliflower steamed with 1 tbspn butter and 6 ounces of pulled pork and 1/2 pound sweet pepper rings. (18 net carbs)
Dinner is going to be baked chicken leg quarter and 2 cups snow peas sauteed in olive oil. (6 net carbs)

That should net me out at
                          1652 calories (too low!)
                          64 total carbs - 27 grams fiber = 37 net

                          9% carbs
                          29% protein

Since I've got "room" in my "budget" I may add a dinner salad with a mayo and dill weed "dressing"

GREAT! I don't know what happened last week, but not only did I not lose, I actually gained 1/2 lb.

I know that sometimes your body just goes through fluctuations and it always doesn't come off evenly, but I was just shocked. Here I figured that I might even creep into the 220's, but found myself closer to 234.

Seems like I even watched everything closer this week. I had more exercise, drank more water, try to balance all my meals, etc.

Oh well, I just had to vent! GOOD, now that I got that over! I did decide that I am still going to up my carbs to 70 as planned, because I think that was just one of those abnormal weigh ins. I know we have all had them.

OK, here is what I have had today so far.

                            Breakfast
                            3 eggs
                            1 slice colby jack cheese
                            2 slices Hormel bacon
1 low carb hamburger bun (I had my lo carb version of a breakfast sandwich)
                            Also had
1/2 cup of Greek Gods yogurt
                            1/2 cup of frozen strawberries

                            Lunch
1/2 lb of chicken salad: 5 oz chicken, 1.5 tbsp mayo, 1 small celery stalk, and 1/4 cup of onion.
garden salad with 2 cups of lettuce, 1 roma tomato, 1/2 cup cucumber, and 1/8 of a large orange bellpepper, and 2 tbsp. jalapeno ranch salad dressing
                            1/2 nectarine
                            2 cups of cauliflower

1357 calories, 93 grams of protein, 84 grams of fat, and 47 net carbs

Dinner, I am going to Fuddruckers for a protein burger.
                            1/2 lb of ground beef
4 leaves of iceberg lettuce (to wrap the burger in)
                            2 tomato slices
                            5 pickle slices
                            jalapenos
                            1.5 tbsp mayo

Also adding a snack of 1 wasa multi grain flatbread

                            Total for the day:

MUP stands for Mitzi's Ultimate Pumpkin...which is delicious and I'm sure if you ask her she will give you the recipe if you are interested.

                                Dinner tonight was:
Roasted chicken breast with skin, 3 cups cauliflower with buttery flavored Pam, 16oz water

Late night snack...so to speak...will be:
12 oz decaf coffee with 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa, 2 pkts splenda and 1 oz heavy whipping cream. Its cold tonight brrrrrr.

                                Totals today look like this:
                                Total calories 1229
                                Fat 58%
                                Carbs 8%
                                Protein 34%

Ok so got to get my calorie count up a bit (did I ever in my wildest dreams ever think I would hear myself utter those words...nope).
Also got to get my carb percentage up and my protein down a bit.
                                More tweaking to do!
