    45 net carbs, 32 of those net veggie carbs (84 g total carbs - 39g fiber = 45 net carbs)

        Well, here is my first go around at 85 carbs. It is hard to keep the calories down and the percentages in check, but I am trying really hard.

        Breakfast
        4 oz greek yogurt
        1/2 cup of three berries
        3/8 cup of multi grain squares
        atkins shake (actually pre-workout)
        3 eggs

        Lunch
        Tuna sandwich: 5 oz albacore tuna, 2 slices fiber plus whole grain wheat bread, 2 tbsp mayo, 1 small celery stalk, 1 tbsp relish with splenda
        1/4 large apple
        2 cups of cauliflower with 1/2 tbsp of butter

        Dinner
        8 oz 85/15 ground beef
        5 pickle slices
        1 serving 28g of sliced jalapenos
        2 medium tomato slices
        4 large leafs of iceberg lettuce (for a bunless wrap)
        4 broccoli spears

        Snack
        3/8 cup of multi grain squares
        1 sourdough wasa
        1/2 oz of cream cheese

        1955 calories (shooting for 1919, which is 1000 calories below my total BMR), 107 grams of fat (shooting for 106) 49%, 151 grams of protein (shooting for 144) 30%, and 86 net carbs (shooting for 85) 21%.

          My hat is off to you, Don! Your eating looks complicated next to mine.

          You are doing a fantastic job of adding in carbs, while keeping percentages in check. Your hard work is paying off, too!

            Dinner - fresh tilapia filets sauteed in butter; 12 ounces of fresh green beans and cup of mushrooms sauteed/fried together in butter and oil

            50 net carbs, 41 of those net veggie carbs (98g total carbs - 48g fiber = 50 net carbs)

              7.5 oz of spicy chipotle chicken salad
              2 slices of fiber plus whole grain bread

              7 oz porterhouse steak
              4 broccoli spears
              7 oz red wine

              1 oz almonds
              3/4 cup of multi grain squares

              2221 calories! Oops! 118 grams of fat 48%, 151 grams of protein 27%, and 85 net carbs 25%

                  3 egg cheese omelet
                  1/2 cup of cottage cheese
                  1/2 cup of strawberries
                  1 cup of cherrios
                  1/2 cup soy milk

                  Lunch
                  A hamburger on a real bun: 8 oz of 85/15 ground beef, 1 large slice of onion, 1/2 roma tomato, and 1 whole wheat bun

                  Dinner
                  crab cakes: 8 oz lump crab meat, with mayo mustard 1/4 of a red pepper, old bay seasoning, 1/2 of a large egg, and 1/2 slice of fiber plus whole wheat bread made into bread crumbs. Remoulade dressing 1 tbsp.
                  1 slice of pineapple
                  7 oz of white wine

                  Snack
                  1 sourdough wasa crispbread

                  Total calories 2072 (1919 is target), 105 grams of fat (106 is target), 145 grams of protein (144 is target), and 86 net grams of carbs (85 is target)

                          Julie, I am doing the same thing tonight, so I guess they can hate both of us! LOL It is a going away party for a friend at work. Worse yet, it is at a Mexican Restaurant, but I am going to steer clear of the margaritas! That would do me in for sure!

                          I am really having problems keeping my calories low now that I am up to 85 net carbs. Even on the days that I don't have a glass of wine, I'm still fighting staying below what I think I need to be at. I really need to lose those 2 lbs this week for the Halloween Challenge, but I think it is going to be tough.

                          Anyway, here is what I had yesterday.

                          Breakfast
                          1 cup of Fiber One cereal
                          1/2 cup soy milk
                          3 slices of Hormel bacon
                          3 eggs

                          Lunch
                          1/4 chicken (dark meat skin on)
                          2 cups of romaine
                          1 roma tomato
                          2 tbsp jalapeno ranch dressing
                          1 cup of blackberries
                          2 cups cauliflower

                          Dinner
                          Chicken caesar salad (estimated 3 cups of romaine, 2 tbsp caesar dressing, 3.5 oz chicken breast, and 1/2 oz of fresh parmesan)
                          7 oz white wine

                          Snacks
                          2 servings of artichoke dip
                          1 cup of blackberries
                          3/4 cups of multi grain squares
                          1/4 cup of soy milk

                          2258 calories, 127 grams of fat (too high), 86 net carbs (had a whopping 64 grams of fiber), only 137 grams of protein (a little on the low side). Ratios were 50% fat, only 24% protein, and 26% carbs, though a bunch of that was from the wine.

                            Julie and Don - Why in the world would we hate you for having a little fun? H*ll, if my body would tolerate alcohol, I'd be doing the same thing every now and then.

                            Today was an exhausting day for me, and I didn't bother entering everything into Fitday. Today was the last day of the Veggie Challenge, and I am just glad that I ate what I needed to, for that today.
