    Re: Checking on those 5'7"

How's everyone doing? Kinda cool that we have so many just about the same height and with similar weight goals.

      Re: Checking on those 5'7"

I have just seen this thread today. I, too, am 5'7" and am going for 60-63 ks, that's 132-138 lbs. Here in Australia we followed the British imperial system (stones and pounds - 1 stone =14 lbs) until metrication in 1966. But I still tend to think in stones. And 10 stone was always what I considered a top weight for my height, and 10 stone is 140 lbs. So I'm aiming at a range, and I'll see how I look and what size I am when I get there.

I want to be able to wear a size 10 comfortably.

I'm doing better than I have! I never have gone off plan, but have been going up and down the same &%#$ 8 pounds for over a year and a half! I just like to eat too much. So now, I've gotten a treadmill and I'm being stricter in my food and it's coming down again. At 174 I don't look too bad, compared to my start at 219, but I dream of weighing what I weighed when I got married 30 years ago. My tummy never used to be a particularly fat spot for me. It was always hips and thighs, but now, I think perimenopause is messing with me. I don't feel so bad about my butt. Now my it's my gut!

You know how fit people show off their "six-pack"? Well, I've got a nice loaf of bread!

Well done you Comgratulations on upping your exercise and reassessing your food intake.

I do well for a while, then I slip off the wagon. I do well for a while, then I JUMP off the wagon. I do well for a while, then I wreck the wagon!!

I'm with you kkat. I am maintaining the weight, but I want to be losing. I keep jumping off, and getting right back on again. Over and Over and Over.
And, my exercising is at a standstill. I need motivation...

Hey, have you checked into the Slim in 6 program? Several people here swear by them.

You can find some info here: www.beachbody.com and go to www.mybeachbody.com and a workout spot here: www.wowy.com. Maybe something in one of these spots will make you feel motivated.

I just started the Slim in 6 yesterday. Today was my second day to do "Start It Up" and it felt good!!

P.S. You can also check Ebay for this and other workout videos.

kkat I'm 5'7" and my goal weight is 150lbs.
According to weight charts the healthy weight for women our height is 125-155. So I guess I'd be on the high end, but I know for a fact at 125 I'd look anorexic. When I weighed 145 you could see my ribs and hip bones.

I'm right there with you girls! I keep losing and gaining the same 5-10lbs! I was doing so great with working out and then my schedule went wacko. Grr! I'm trying to get into a routine again. I'm starting all over again on Induction. I want to do it RIGHT this time, climbing the carb ladder as I go. I don't care if I lose slowly, as long as I can abstain from bingeing the weight right back on!!
I'm going to check on those websites you mentioned, kat. Thanks!

                        160 would be okay too.
It's funny I weighed 160 in high school and thought I was fat.
This was mostly because other people thought I was fat.
                        It's a sad day when you're a size 10 and considered fat.

Thanks for the info on slim in six. I'll look into it. I do belong to Curves and it was working great for me, until I decided I just didn't have time for exercise. I'm still paying the monthly fee but only going once in awhile. Boy is that dumb.

Maybe jumping back on this BB will help motivate me.

I know what you mean. It seems that when I'm doing great and will have been at it for a while, then something comes along and messes up my routine and I fall out of whack. Grrrr...then it takes me a few weeks (months) to get back on the ball.

                              When are you starting Induction?

You're welcome for the website. That www.wowy.com lets you log in when you start your exercise and it tells you when you're done and who else is exercising right at that exact moment with you. It is kinda cool!

YES!! I would fluctuate between 140 - 159 and the girls I hung around with (same height) would weigh 123 and say I was fat/chubby. I felt so bad about myself all the time.

I wish I weighed that NOW! I wouldn't feel bad about myself anymore!!
