Maybe jumping back on this BB will help motivate me.
Yes, when I eat bad, I shy away from the board. Then I'll start reading posts again and get re-motivated and start all over and feel great.

If anyone wants to start Induction all over again as a group, let me know and I'll do it with you.

      Well, it's been a year since I posted a reply to this.... (I'm 5'7" ) and 58 years old..

today I weigh 126 libs...... I was as low as 124 in April .... it felt great.... but I fluctuate... I'm stalled again... but this is a good weight.. I really don't NEED to lose more weight as everyone tells me ... I look good with my clothes on....

my goal is still 120.... maybe when I get there if I ever do... I might change it to 118 or 115.... still have a tummy...jelly belly! I want a smaller waist.... that is where the excess weight is.... ( but no one can see it and they tell me I am thin)

Wow! You are SO CLOSE to your goal! It must feel really good to have come this far!! What a success!!

The tummy may be a genetic thing...?

Have you ever tried Mari Winsor Pilates? I've done them a few times in a two week period and my clothes (around the waist/abs) were actually looser in that short of time. I think it targets that area the most. If you haven't tried it, why not give it a whirl? You could probably find a great price on Ebay. I think the basic one is called the 20-minute workout.

        Congratulations on doing so well!!

<Pouting> I wish I was 5'7. I always thought, I'd be my ideal weight if I were only taller.

(giggle) Yeah...I'd have to be about 10 feet tall to be my ideal weight!!

I've always wished I was shorter...I didn't like dating guys the same height as me or not being comfortable wearing heels since it also made me as tall or taller than them. Now I've come to like it and married a guy who is between 6'3" and 6'4". I'm happy with everything except my weight.

Kat, I started Induction on July 5. (You will notice a trend of new resolve after most holidays. lol!) Hop on with me! I'm enjoying some wonderful foods now that Im back in the saddle. I may do a few meat & egg days here and there to keep the weight coming off.

I need to prepare my kitchen so would you give me the weekend or whenever I get to go? We have a vet appt in the morning so I should be able to shop that evening or Sunday. I know I have eggs, meat in the freezer, but I'm not sure about all the veggies I might need and I'd like to get something fresh since it is summer.

I also think Marion started a thread about going cheatfree in case you want to join that. It is under the Challenges Forum.

                  Hey

I'm 5'7'' and my goal weight is 130-135. Right now I'm 180 but won't stop until I get my dream weight

All the best and good luck!

Kat: Hop on whenever you're ready! I may extend my Induction period an extra week since I'm having trouble being 100% strict this week.

Berit: Welcome! Wow, 130lbs! I can't imagine that weight.

No its not genetic... my mom had a great figure... and so did I for years...
when I was a teenager and into most of my twenties and had the tiniest waist... it was about 21 inches before kids.. and about 23-24 after kids.... tiny... tiny.... but then I started putting on weight when I turned 30.. first on my stomach.... and that is the last place for it to come off... it is there because of beer.... wine... spaghetti and meat balls... fetucine alfredo... garlic bread..... pizza.... baked potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy........ hamburgers and fries.. chinese food.... eclairs... you know...

for exercise now I have an eliptical.... I use it daily and the waist is shrinking!!!! It stretches the whole body... you can really feel it in the waist..
I put my whole body into the workout....

I love the elliptical!! I wanted to buy one for the house, but my husband refuses to have exercise equipment lying about the place. So he agreed to a YMCA membership. Now I love going to the classes! Of course, they also have ellipticals and other equipment, all with flat screen televisions! Heaven. My schedule has been so crazy lately that I haven't been able to get out there as much as I'd like. I definitely need to get back in the groove!!
