Val no need to apologize. I wasnt targeting you. It's just after I replied to your post I started reading back things that I missed. And as I read I started feeling...low might be a good words. So I went back typed my Stephen King novel and logged off and went on my merry way. It just so happened that early in the morn noone was really logged on and my post followed yours. If I did offend, I had no intention too. I just want to wake some people up and get this program on it's feet. Too many give up hope too fast. We didnt get to be obese or madly overweight overnight. And that's all I'm trying to get across, that this diet appears to be working if you give it time. Here's my belated group hug, (I'ma huggin). Zoo was scratched. We went down the shore Point Pleasant NJ. Girls had a blast and I got burnt. Me wife bought some things she failed to tell me till this morning, hence the CHEAPER alternative. Me wallet was robbed again, by me spouse. God Bless, Joe

Val...take a pic...even if you don't post it yet. What a feeling that must have been! To fit in Mediums when you were expecting to squeeze into Large! Use your lesson to warn others. And we are all proud that you didn't use it as an excuse to quit. I hope BF gets inspired by you. He needs to read my quote!! Keep cooking LowCarb and feed him. Tell him not to bring anything illegal into the house. Take that picture!

Joe...I bet the kids had a good time anyway!!!

Re: Buddy List June 30th - July 6th

Hi everyone. Hope your day was/is great. When I dont log in for 24 hours I feel lost. My son (Brenndan) will be leaving with his dad to go up-north and see his grandparents for the holiday but his grandma called and asked if he can stay til the 19th! So he will be leaving tomorrow morning and I wont see him til then . Dont get me wrong I am sure the first few days will be nice but what will I do without "mom, I need this. Mom I need that!" And making sure he brushes his teeth and takes a shower and making lunches and all that mom stuff. I am going to miss him terribly. I dont think my hubby will appreciate me asking if he washed his hair and brushed his teeth..lol

Val~ I have a whole closet of inspiration clothes. Believe me it works. I pick out an outfit I want to wear badly and hang it on a hanger on my door so I can see it everytime I walk by. Visuals are good.

Livelovelaugh~I can be rented for a day, for a small fee of course. I will keep you on track and will chuck anything even close to threatening.

I read somewhere that this woman made herself eat whatever food it was that she was going to cheat with...INFRONT OF HER FULL-LENGTH MIRROR.....NAKED! I decided I am doing that. Believe me I will not want to see my body like it is and stuffing my face full of what made it get like this in the first place. Scarrry!

Just had me an awesome dessert and me thinks it is induction freindly. I experiment with me own foods alot and this one is definately a keeper. 1/4 cup pumpkin, 1/4 cup cream cheese, 2 tblspn heavy cream, 1 packet splenda, 2 pads of butter, ground cinnamon to taste. Soften the butter and cream cheese up in microwave, times would vary I imagine. When that is softened mix all th eingredients together, nuke em some more(1 minute for me). Remove, let cool and enjoy. Let me know. God Bless, Joe

wow we had a lot of posting going on while i was at work. i won't try to reply to them all, but will a couple. i'm glad that we have all found such a wonderful place to vent, support, encourage, and post all our ups and downs.

cori-i'm not sure i've welcomed you to our little group, it's so cool that you and your parents are together in this lifestyle.

val- i'm glad i didn't offend you. i really felt so moved by your post when i read it this morning, and i could really feel your cry for encouragement. i knew i couldn't walk away from my computer until i had reached out to you in some way. however small it might be. i'm glad you've decided to stick with it and i hope your BF will hang in there as well.

Splandrea- wtg on deciding to restart induction, stay strong and if you feel yourself slipping again, remember we are here to help.

to any other new buddies, if i have not properly welcomed you, then i apologize and welcome you with open arms.

to everyone else who is hanging in there.....good job.

i'm glad to see so many of my buddies doing the 6 week challenge. it's good that we have something to keep us honest and accountable for our exercise.

Elsie-i want to thank you and give you a big hug for having the insight from the very beginning to surround yourself with buddies to help support you in this WOL. i bet little do you know you have been the one who has been a true inspirer and motivator for all of us. i know if i hadn't read that first buddy thread, i would have never been so successful. i think we have truly become a family and i love all my sisters and brothers here in buddy land.

i gotta go, eating late dinner tonight and have a bunch of abs to do before bed.

                      see ya later, monie

Thanks for the welcome Moniegail and that fact that this group is like a family touches me too. I really admire your commitment to exercise, it is quite inspiring

Also, it's the bottom of my fourth day and the first craving has come -- I want some gum!! Pre-Atkins I'd chew gum everyday.. Orbits, but looking at the ingredients I see it has aspartame! Is there an Atkins friendly gum that anyone knows of??? I'll check the store next time I go, I really miss it!

                            Here is a link. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ggestions.html

Do be aware (sorry Joe) that artificial sweetners are limited to 3 a day. So that would be 3 pieces of gum. Liked the idea of half a piece. That being said there are are many people on this board who have artificial sweetners stall them....I think Val is one of them. And also others...Joe..obviously as much as he wants...and myself...though I have never had 24 servings...LOL...that can have artificial sweetners with no side effects. Let us know what you decide and how it works for you!
