Man, I am a slave to my job!
I miss you guys. I had to get more clients because the bills were not getting paid - not to mention the food that we didn't have around here!
But now I am super super busy all day! =( I have to work all weekend too, but only 4 hours a day, so that's okay.

We don't have any fireworks to watch tonight. All of the displays within hours of here are shut down and no public shows becuase of all of the northern california fires.. too much smoke to see them in the sky as well as the fear of starting more fires. We don't have enough men on the job as it is.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. After working, my hubby, daughter, son, son-in-law and SIL's GF plan on traveling around each day - to visit DH mom, my BFF, and finally my parents on Sunday. Should be a fun bonding experience.

And I have to clean my car, inside and out, because it is awful!!!! When I bought it 4 months ago I told myself I would never let a new car look as terrible as my older cars always did, and guess what!? My white shiny car is brown and bird-poopy, and the floor is covered in garbage and 8 skillion empty water bottles!

This afternoon I made delviled eggs and they were really good and easy to make -- we got the recipe from a low-carb cookbook.. I am feeling better but all the same I think I will try another kind or exercize today. I am not looking foward to this weekend -- all work I work at Macy's, I sell woman's shoes --- so you can just imagine how many pairs I have lol

hello everyone, happy 4th to you all.....ended up having to work about 6 1/2 hours today, i'm pretty beat, but i'll survive. just glad it's over.

well gonna skip weigh in on monday as TOM has showed up and don't want take a chance with the scale this week. i will do my measurements instead since i have them now after starting the 6 week challenge.

i'm excited about starting a new rung on monday, think i am definately going on to the berry rung and skip the nut rung for a couple weeks. then go back to add the nuts in after the berries. i know that peanuts and cashews are hard for me to resist once i start eating them, and i really need to make sure that i can handle adding them back into my diet.

well hubby is taking a nap, and i think i might need one too.....gotta eat something first, then after nap will try to get some exercise in.

hope you all have a great day.....

Wow needless to say I had alot of reading to do... Im about to get ready for work so I don't get to see any fireworks tonight unless I get off really early lol... I have been doing really good with working out ... im so proud of myself... and this is my first real day of restarting induction so Ive been doing okay with that ... i left my water bottle at work that I keep refilling so I hope I get it and can drink all the water I need to at work.

Splandrea- I need to clean my car out 2... mine is the kind where its filled with clothes because I always bring extra clothes with me in case I go somewhere after work and don't have time to change... so I think monday I'm going to go get my oil changed and clean/wash my car ... yay! How are you doing on restarted induction?

Hey Andrea, I spent 6 hours cleaning me Lade inside and outside. Kinda like a home made detailing without having to pay someone else.(Elsie, would that be considered cardio?). Anyhow the very next day guess what happened? It rained. So while we were at me olderst softball practice, the heaven's opened up so we ran for the hills and took cover in me Lade. Ok, softball practice=infield orange sand. So the outside got wet and spotty and the inside got sandy and dirty. To make a long story short, all me backbreaking work and scrubbing and.. I even do windows. And in less than 24 hours all for naught. Oh wee, always next week. Happy 4th all. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves and eating "LEGALLY". God Bless, Joe

Splandrea...we miss you too! Bright side is more work means more money for veggies!!

Cori..did your Dad show you Linda's site?? There are meatless recipes there. Do you know about fitday? Are you using it? You should be aiming for 5%carb/65%fat/30% protein. If not you might want to punch in a day of what you are eating just to see where you are at. I am curious on your protein as you aren't supposed to have more than 3-4 oz cheese daily. So that is a lot of eggs and fish to eat to make up for it. My DD loves deviled eggs. Just mayo and a touch of mustard. You can wrap them in a lettuce leaf for a egg salad wrap.

Monie...I really like the way you know yourself enough to know when to hide the scale! Did you catch my ricotta comment...YUMMO..don't tell Cori..but I had some for breakfast.

Bill...you moved up to rung 1 didn't you? Did you try anything new? Are you staying there or moving up to dairy?

Live..we....I mean...I...did get a little silly yesterday. Good for you for the work outs.

Joe...LOL...welcome to a woman's world. Clean clean clean and turn around and it is already messy again before you can get out the door.

All right...pretty soon we are off for DD's fiddle show. It is actually the 4 CANADIAN TENORS...but only 3 because of some sort of excuse or another...still cool for her to do. We are going at a weird time to make it on time since it is in the next time so will grab a hotdog or smokie and a diet pop there. The other stuff really doesn't tempt me.

Elsie - With my dad being on vacation this week he has been watching over me and making sure I am eating the right foods and I think that I'm getting the hang of it. We both tried fitday and decided it was too complicated because everything we eat is a recipe and not a basic food, but we are carefully counting carbs although I am starting to worry about too much cheese intake so I am going to be extra careful with that.

Today turned out to be a super exercise day - I did 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill, 30 min on the stationary bike (non-elliptical) and then my shoulders felt better so I did 30 min on the elliptical bike. It feels good to be getting back into the groove! =)

hey everyone, hope it was a safe, happy and cheat free 4th of july.

cori- i found a great way to figure out entering recipes on fitday. go to a day on the calendar that has not been filled out yet, enter all ingredients you will use for it separately then you take the totals you get and enter it in the custom foods catagory. IE: meatloaf- 1lb ground beef, 1 egg, 2ozs onion, 2 ozs green peppers, low carb ketchup, etc(whatever other ingredients added). it makes things a little easier when you go to figure out what your totals are for the day. i tried it when i made the oopsie rolls, i had 6 servings of oppsie rolls, so i entered the whole total as 6 servings, and then if i only at one roll, would use just one serving when entered. just a little something i use to make it easier to use for myself. fitday can be kinda time consuming, but it's worth it if you can find little short cuts when entering your daily foods.

well, i gotta go get some more exercises in did 25 squats already, will try for another 25 or so with stability ball. and maybe some other type of exercises with ball to get some of my minutes up. i found a 15 minute exercise video on youtube with the SB, and plan on trying it while hubby is at work on monday.(and i get monday off now since i worked today.)

                        Evening Buds!

Hope all Are great! Good day for us! we did over protein a bit.but it was a holiday..girls did well on water, I only managed 42 oz. make up for it tommorrow.

Elsie-Thanks so much for your guidance towards Corinne, your concerns were mine too..6 or 7 different types of fish in the house now with recipes for all. plus shell fish. Veggie's of coarse are easy..Protein no problem so far..The fat is the hard part..cold water fish is low in calories and fat..so the recipes with different sauces and marinates and rubs helps! and of coarse everything goes better with cheese! but , we are being careful.
DR A had some great advice for her and us on her diet. (awesome book)

Rung 1 has me making (Cauliflower) pizza, mashed potatos, potato salad,
fried rices, and casserole's. I can have 1 cup more..and Asparagus!!
( 8 medium) using it in recipe's too. instead of the onions and tomatoes. I will try the summer squash and Red peppers (bought 2 today).

hope you have a great day with the family and the tenors!

Live--WTG on the work outs!--And Elsie is silly! I tried to set an example,
single minded focus and all business-- type of guy that I am.

Missing our other bud's! Getting my Megaphone..they will hear the voices!

Thanks so much for the tip about fitday. I will try it, that way I can know for sure if I'm eating too much or too little, plus I'll have a record of everything incase I need to refer to it in the event of a stall.

Cori...So glad you got your Dad to guide you. I know he spent a lot of time preping for this WOE. I worry about too much cheese myself on Linda's site...it seems like there is always a lot more than you really need in some of the recipes. I think you will be able to figure out fitday...you are still young enough to catch on quick...not saying anything against your Dad ;^). I think you could do a mayo mustard kind of coating on your fish to help stay away from the cheese. Or a crushed porkrind breading?? How is your Mom doing?

Monie...good on you for the exercises already. I think last time I entered stuff I did it under specialty items or something after I did it your way and copied down the info and entered it in.

Bill...rung one sounds so yummy at your house. Good job keeping Cori in line...LOL...yeah...I know it is easy..she has the much harder job of keeping you in line...LOL!

                            Everybody pretty quiet today.

Well the concert went really well! I was surprised to find out that they (the fiddle kidz) were the ONLY opening act. So quite an honor. I would have loved to stay longer and listen to the tenors but 45 minutes was all the kids could take. Mind you we were there an hour and a half early. Remember I said I was going to grab a hotdog or smokie there. Well we get there and the only thing set up is a Donair stand...mini donuts stand...popcorn...and smoothie stand. YIKES! So..not willing to give up my paid for parking spot we walked a few blocks up town and I took the kids for supper at Tim Horton's...hey there were no other resturants close by. I didn't have anything. Was starving by the time I got home. Anyway...did good.

                            Later Budzzzzz....

Glad to see that you stayed strong and resisted, Elsie. Many of us are doing great and we deserve to be commended on our accomplishments. Others are still trying to find their way. Hope we all find the right way and get to where we are going. This is me daily checkin and I really wanted to see if I hit that round number (-40), however after making and drinking me coffee I forgot so hopefully I'll get a true weigh in tomorrow morning. Everyone, proceed to check for missing fingers and toes. Hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. Come on cheats, let's hear it. God Bless, Joe
