Thank you valleriek! I think I am blushing...

The thing is, I can really related to what IrishMom82 posted about having a hard time staying motivated. Sometimes I just want to eat something "bad" and I don't even really want it. I keep thinking it is an addiction to sugar or self-sabotage and maybe counseling would help. Of course I can’t afford counseling right now so that is only a thought!

Yes, get up and walk, walk, walk away the pounds! Sorry, I have that video and do it when the weather is bad. I have found that exercising first thing in the morning is really helping me to stay at it. And I have the added benefit of more energy and a clearer/happier mind.

I really enjoy working out. So at least I'm not slacking in that. I think you're right Elsie. I'm sabotaging myself because I like how I look now. I'm really far off of my goal but I do see changes. I think I've been having a bad case of complacency.

Lisa made a post a few days back regarding that. I think I should re-read that post and everyone's advice and try to fight through this. I mean if I feel sooo good at 180 (60 lbs. above where I want to be) then I can't imagine how good I'm going to feel when I do reach goal. I need to get it together...

        LOL...hear that Bill...there I go again being right...gets annoying..HUH?

Complacency...yes I read that thread. Funny thing isn't it? In a way, because it means you are happy with yourself...so how can that be bad, right?

See what coming to the board can do? You've had us to come and talk to and work things out...and Treece could relate to you and in doing so helped kick Val in the butt to do her exercises...it is a good circle...

Yup, Elsie's right, I was totally motivated by yall this evening!! Thanks!! Glad I checked in! Yeah, you have to watch that complacency, Irishmom!!! I know about that! And good attitude!!! Just imagine how 60 more pounds lost will feel!!! And Treece, I am sure you are totally normal! Yes I am still convinced, lol! We all want things even if we don't need them, it really is about changing your mindset. I think the both of you have all the answers to your concerns, you are just feeling like second guessers today, and that is normal too!! Hey, I have my days, we all do. You girls just hang in there, you will do great things!

I was so excited to get back on my bike today, I had bf put a new comfy seat on it for me, and then I felt so bad that he didn't have a bike!! So we spontaneously jumped in the van and ran to Target, and he has a new yellow fancy suspension bike now, witha comfy seat too!! Hehe! He hasn't owned a bike since he was a kid! Now we can riding go with the kids. It will also be much easier on his knees than walking, he had a bad accident 10 years ago with a motorcycle, and walking too much has been an issue.

So anyway, we know how to tear it up on a sat nite huh? Better than how we spent time last weekend anyway!! And I didn't have to fork out a cent to a sitter either, much less $200!! Hehe!! Ok, gotta get baby to bed, ttyl!!

              LOL..Val...

Cost of night on the town...3 pounds
              Cost of babysitter...$200
Cost of Val learning a lesson...PRICELESS

Cori..wait until your two weeks are up. You will be more surprised by the bigger number. We lose a lot of people the second week because they expect to see a number like the first week. I remember your Dad's first and second weigh in...seems like just weeks ago....poor dog and cat!

                    Hey Hey Bud's!

Long, hard day today, but a good day. didn't get much excercise done on the machine's--but hauled 50 pound bags of sand all day into a hole to get ready for the concrete pour in the morning--Think that counts..

Warm welcome to a new Bud Hello Treece!
You and Irish are human--beating yourself up only makes it worse..great thing about being human-- is that you can acknowledge your short falls and pick-up the pieces and start again. think about it. you can walk, or run, or get on a bike, or do the Jane Fonda work-out--no probs--
now-- STOP EATING---something you've done for as long as you can remember--yes your going to eat better, yes your going to achive well-being and all the benifits of this WOL. but it is a challenge--and we will stumble, we may fall..But use what is most human--Call for help! if the board can't respond fast enough, you still have this amazing little book that has been there and done that--use your resources!

Elsie--When "your" right, "your right"---Hmmm thinking of a number between 1 and 10? no--wait--too easy--how do you feel about "Veggielover" in the 5th? or "thisguyisinsane" in the 7th?

Val--good to hear from you! glad your back where you started! and you don't always have to walk..little variety maybe the answer? so chin up! hey--that's it chin-ups! (people still do those?)

LOL--should hide the scale--might even be worth my eye's being clawed out by the girls.. or I should get my parents old, old scale..giant thing with a big knob on it that you Calibrate to Zero first before getting on it..could reek havok in this house! set it back a pound or two every week?
oh-crap--think they know my master plan..anyone have any spare band-aids?

Hi all! I have been so busy so I have not had time to check in with you beautiful people. I hope you all had a wonderful 4th. I did. I was good just so ya'll know. You would be proud. Dh, sister, bestfriend and sisters Dh went to our rents and cleaned their house for them for my ma's b-day. With Dh in school we dont have alot of extra $ so she just asked for us to clean her house and make a cake. Easy enough! Plus we all got to spend time together. I love my family. We are all bestfriends. I hang out more with my parents than friends..lol People tell me thats odd but my parents are my bestfriends. Why would I need anyone else? We were gonna go to a Scottish Festival ( I am almost all Scottish) but we didnt make it in time so we are gonna go tomorrrow after church. My son is gone upnorth with his dad and grandparents til the 19th or 20th. I miss him sooo much. We talked today and he said he didnt miss me! Oh and DH and I went to the in-laws. It was pretty enjoyable. Which is a shocker. If his mom isnt trying to tell us about life lessons ( umm we are adults..uh we are 27 and I have a 9 year old son!) then his brother is making comments under his breath. Gotta love it. But it went well for once. And I got to see a dear friend of mine. We have been friends since we were 13. So all in all good weekend so far. Oh and what ya'll think of walking tapes?

LOL Bill! Funny guy! Yeah..I guess in the interest of self-preservation you best leave the scale alone.

(((Andie))) don't stay away so long! Good for you for being strong and having a good time with family..both sides!! Not to worry...my kids never miss me either...I prefer to think that it is because they are secure enough to know I will always be here.

OMG Valleriek! I just bought a bike Saturday and I love it! I got up at 5:30 this morning to get a couple miles in (I was sucking wind). Doing it early means the kids are asleep and I can "sneak" a ride w/o them. AND I woke up this morning to a 2-pound loss. I knew I needed to change up my exercise and the bike seems to be the ticket. Congrats to your Bf! That is a great accomplishment!

Andiepie81 - I use and love the Walk Away the Pounds DVD. Okay, when I say love I mean I love the results I get from using it. I do get tired of the same chitchat of the participants. Sometimes I even mute it and watch their feet to see how fast I should be going. LOL! I have been using it since March and have had success with the weight loss so I would recommend them.
