    Re: Buddy List July 14-20

Hey all, poor Elsie, lost all her posts (you should open a word document and write in there while you read over the posts, then you copy and paste and never lose a thing!!)

Vanessa, I was out your way once, a Wash DC trip for college, the subway rocked!!! We got everywhere we wanted to go, easy peasy!!

Oh Andiepie, snap out of it!!! This may not be the summer you become "perfect" again, but you are going to feel better as you go!! Take comfort in the fact that you are taking steps in the right direction. It won't happen overnight, but you will do it!!!! Serioulsy try to work in exercise if you can, I am losing and feeling a little "jiggly" around the middle I noticed the past couple of days. I better get toning up so I don't feel totally gross!! Soon summer will be over and you can hide behind winter and fall clothes till you break out of your coocoon (sp??) come spring!!! You WILL have confidence, you are just having a moment. Remember it took a long time to put the wt on, DO NOT expect it to come off in a month!! You will be YOU again, just hang in there, time flies!! It really does!!

BTW, I just found out I have ANOTHER appt for baby tomorrow!! I am so tired of running around, and not getting studying done!! Oh well, only 4 more tests and one assignment, maybe 2 extra credit assingments too. Almost there!!! I mowed the lawn today, got my exercise. Have a good nite all.

I love taking the subway. It makes life simple plus I get more exercise not having a car and its better for the environment.
I hope you feel better soon Andie. Maybe you're not 100% thrilled with how you look now (heck, none of us are otherwise we wouldn't be here) but you are taking steps to change that and to get healthy and that is the important thing. Keep your chin up!

        Re: Buddy List July 14-20

Andie-so sorry you are having a rough time as of late, glad you came here to share with us. we all go through a rough patch here and there and it's great we can come here and lean on one another.
there's no reason to feel ashamed and embaressed for your DH, you are a beautiful girl and are doing so great. look at your stats, you've lost almost 20 lbs!!!! you should be ecstatic right now.
maybe doing some exercises will help. if i even think i'm getting a little bummed, i hit the floor and bust out 100 crunches or do some pushups, and my mood is completely changed.

if that doesn't help, you could always call bill up and ask him to make you a ballon in the shape of a poodle

seriously though, i hope you can find a way to get yourself feeling better about yourself. you are taking the steps you needed to take to become a healthier and happier person. think about the changes you are making and don't dwell on the person you were, because you are not that same person. you CAN achieve all your goals you set for yourself. just BELIEVE in yourself. everyone here believes in you and are here for you any time you need someone to lean on.

hope that tomorrow is a better day for you.

Good point monie - the best cure for depression is exercise! If you're feeling down the best thing to do is just get up and do something - even if its just a walk around the block to clear your head. I promise you will feel better after.

Andie...you got to snap out of it... all that is said from all of us at this board, will always be to reinforce, motivate and inspire your commitment to this WOL. And when your down we all will do our best to pick you back up. but your greatest source of support is right in your own home...

lot of big events coming up..lot of people at these events too--how about they leave saying things like: "wow--see how much energy Andie has? she's like a whirlwind!"// or--"she's sharp as a tack, focused and sure of herself"
point is...last thing on their mind will be what you weigh.

talk to your soulmate--the words of your DH will give you all the power you need....

Hi buddies, Just got home from work. Missed my exercising so i thought i would walk around the block at work during my break time. While walking, i spotted a skunk digging around in this field. Seemed like he was chasing me after i got closer to him. Needless to say, that helped improve my step as i headed back to work. My company is on the edge of a state park. We see deer all the time too. One of the benefits i guess Hope you all have a good day. i'm going to bed.

Hey all - just checking in. Got my 2nd mile of the exercise challenge in last night, in spite of it being hotter than all get out. Really struggling with temptation this morning. Just getting to work without stopping at the convenience store to indulge my old bad habits was a chore.

Andie - hope you're feeling better soon. When I feel that way I remind myself that I can only start from where I am right now and everyday on plan things get a little bit better, even it's not immediately noticeable. Hang in there - it WILL get better!

Hi everybody...I couldn't get back on yesterday after it lost my reply. Then everyone started getting up. Am going through page by page this morning.

                            Page 2 replies...

Welcome Nturtle! I love your goals. Stay strong ...you will not regret it. As for the amusement park...have a big legal breakfast. Bring water. Pack something you can eat. Cheese strings...nuked pepperoni...that sort of thing. Find a salad with some protein if you can. If you can't then a hamburger or hotdog is your best bet. Have a diet pop if you need too. That is better than going off plan. Remember that the amusement park is NOT about the food. It is about the time spend with the family. Tell yourself that you are CHOOSING not to have the junk this time....maybe next time....but right now..being healthy and full of energy for yourself and family is more important. YOU can do it!!!

Mike...you are part of our family now!!!

Vanessa...good for you for doing some ab work!!

Andie...very exciting about DH! I totally know what you mean about being the biggest. I am sure that most of us do. I feel that way lots. But we are doing something about it!!! Don't let those negative feelings get to you. Really try to concentrate on the positive...how you are making things better...how loved you are...how lucky you are. Glad your little man home!

                              page 3 replies...

Val...great news about the baby! I can't remember if I posted about the baby news are not....I remember trying lots...will reply again when I catch up if I haven't...I know I had lots to say....LOL! You got your kids to eat cabbage?? Wow..that is a stronger tasting veggie so good on you!! Val...I would have to say that a lot of times my kids are eating my meals with a bit of 'healthy' carb throw in..brown rice...wholewheat tortillas...that sort of thing. Of couse it is not 100% healthy..but probably 80-90% is. We have 6 kids age 10-15 here and have only opened one big bag of chips since they came Monday and that was for supper last night. They didn't finish it. Nor were the bag of pork rinds finished..YAH for me! I made a big veggie tray..not asking if they were hungry about 1 hour before dinner and just set it in front of them. It was almost all gone..except for a bit of celery and some broccoli. Same with the fruit. We bought no pop. 3 1/2 jugs of koolaid since Monday is good and the rest of the time they have drank water. It is more of a what is in front of them they will eat. I think that is true for a lot of us.

Bill...ROFL!!! Love your avatar...that must have what...burned about 1000 calories making that??? How is your cold? Your appetite? You may have to find some more calorie dense meals. Linda's site should help you. A lot of the casserole dishes are at least 400-500 calories a serving. Some extra cream or mayo and before you know it you are up there.

                              Hi Jill!!!

Monie...good on you for the exercise! 65 squats in one day!!!!?? YOu rock!

Dang...SIL just came in and the dogs are going nuts....will catch you later...

Vanessa....Yah....for cauliflower pizza. Pretty close, huh??

wow ive been MIA i feel for a while. I was out of town and there is no computer and AT&T doesn't get service barely anywhere that I was...

I feel horrible about myself ... I cheated one day... the first day I have in a while... but back on track today... don't even want to get on the scale and see what im at for at least 4 days or something... I feel so horrible about the way I look ... so Andie I can relate to you... I love summer.. but I will put on clothes that are short sleeve or tanktops and I just feel like my arms look HUGE ..... so then ill find a shirt that has longer short sleeves... it gets bad... sometimes I get so upset at everything i put on that i opt for a light hoodie even though its like 100 degrees and the humidity is horrible in SC... Ill be happy when its winter so like val said ... I can hide behind hoodies and other things... yay... then hopefully by May I will be near my goal... but i need to stick to atkins and not cheat like I did yesterday!

                                Hope everyones doing well!
