f4n - too funny about the skunk
    bill- love your new avatar
elsie - the cauli pizza is the best!
mike - way to resist temptation, stay strong
livelaugh - welcome back! sorry about the cheating. the important thing is to get right back on track. i think it also a good idea to take a step back and reflect on what it was that made you cheat in the first place so that it doesn't happen again. i miss hiding in my winter clothes too sometimes but if we stick with the plan, eventually we won't need to.

sicca posted a survey if you guys want to do it. it was fun and a good way to get to know people better:

      Re: Buddy List July 14-20

Ugh, LLL, I am with ya, I also had a cheat this weekend, actually turned into a 2 day thing. I have been on perfect inducion since monday and still not back in ketosis yet. I am kicking my own butt for it, so that is 5 weeks, 2 of them completely wasted on a 1-2 day cheat, only 10-12 pounds down as a result. I am back on track now, and very determined!! Even with the craziest week ever!! Nearing the end of my class, BF is out of town, baby had 2 days of appts, siblings had to tag along, small town rumors bs going on, worried about starting school on campus next week, worried about BF and his eating habits, worried about $$ with him living at a hotel and eating out all week!!! and lots more. I am starting to feel like the eating is the one thing I DO have some control over. ANd the cheats really aren't worth it. I know, I had to try it once more just to make sure!

Elsie, I thought you said YOU had 6 kids between the age of 5-10! LOL

WEll, making lunch, I haven't even had a bite to eat yet at 1pm, too busy this am. Then more studying and BF will be home for the weekend tonight!! Hope you gals are feeling a little bit better, remember, it does not happen overnight, and you should be damn proud of the many days that you have made a change, it will all add up in the end.

Okay...Mom and SIL went to town...I have the kids and am supposed to be cleaning...LOL....had to come and see you all first...

            Page 4 -6 replies...

Val...The protein should really help baby. Tell BF you got enough on your plate without adding another baby just yet. On the other hand my kids are only 18 months apart and it has worked out great. On the other hand having this baby more established would just benefit all the kids. On the other hand the clock is ticking. On the other hand...oopss...I don't have that many hands! Hope your test went well!

Bill...its okay...you stay there if you need too...but adding 5 grams of dairy ain't no big deal. LOL! If you want to bug Cori you just have to eat some ricotta cheese...LOL...don't tell her I told you though!

Joe....so close to being under 100 to go!! What a great feeling that will be!

Vanessa...and you are saving on insurance too by taking the subway.

Andie...I know it is hard hun! But you gotta start thinking positive!! You are doing something about it....that is a huge thing because it is not easy to get started. You are coming here. I find when I am feeling down or struggling that it helps to come to this board and help other people. It really helps. If you are a negative thinking person in general you may want to think about starting a gratitude journal. Any notebook will do. Every night just jot down 3 thinks you are thankful for. Can be anything big or small...Grateful for DH...the smell of fresh mown grass. That sort of thing. It forces you to really see that there are good things all around us but we just have to be able to see them. The more good things you see and are thankful for the better you will start to feel and think! Try it.

Val...I usually copy it before I submit my replies but forgot. Again...LOL!

            Hi Cori and Monie!!

Bill...balloon animals have no protein...spit that poor balloon bunny out!!!

f4n...LOL...can you send a skunk Joe's way??? That will get him going!

Mike...way to go on the walking...how is the knee? Kudos for resisting temptation. Be aware that you had the power to resist. Take the pleasure from that and remember it...what a much better feeling than you would have had had you given in!!

LLL..glad to see you are back!!!

            Val...LOL...no I don't have 6 kids...just 2 but there are 6 kids here for the week!

Great job at supporting each other!!

            Okay...back to work...

hi everyone, been busy lately and a little sick, but I've been doing good on the diet, exercise could be better. Lots of work coming up over the weekend and I'm already getting stressed about it.. I will check in tomorrow -- be good!

LOL Elsie at sending a skunk after Joe, heeee, that's funny!

Cori, you are so scarce lately, but great to hear you are on track!!

Yeah, we had the baby talk tonight and HE was thinking about like five years down the road!! Whew!!! Now I can relax, lol.

BF is home, I guess he did ok half the time he was there, double veggies and steak, or salad. Its tough, he is glad to be home so he can eat LC with me and not have to think about it, I feel special! LOL

One more week he goes back there on Monday, then hopefully he finds some work closer to home!

Gosh, I must be down to 3 assignments and 3 tests left, woohoo!!!! Almost done with the class!!!

Hope everyone is having a good night, going to bed so I can get up early and eliminate one more assignment and test!!! Keep doing great everyone!!!!

                  Gooooodd moooorrrrniiiiing!

Well, after am imperfect weekend again, I wasn't going to weigh in this week, I had actually gained a couple back earlier in the week. Well, decided to weigh this am, and am happy to be back at 195 again, no loss, but no gain either. I also lost 3.5 inches, so all that right eating while bf was away paid off. I am glad to have undone the damage, already looking forward to getting that 5 pounds off to get to my first goal.

I am going to try "spaghetti" tonite made with spaghetti sqhash noodles and homemade sauce using spices and a can of tomatoes. Have a good day evreryone!!!

                    Re: Buddy List July 14-20

I stumbled today. Woke up feeling really crappy and drowsy. Everyday I drive past this place where I used to stop for cookie and a diet coke (yeah, that's part of how I got to 400 lbs.). Somewhere between home and there I convinced myself that a cookie and a pop would wake me up and make me feel better. And I did it - sold out 3 weeks of hard work and no cheats for a cookie. I feel even worse about it after all your kind words about my resisting tempatation yesterday.

I went ahead and logged it into Fitday (250 calories, 33 carbs) to try to keep me in the routine I've established over the last 3 weeks. This has the potential to derail me for the whole day, so I'm trying to just consider it a high carb breakfast and not a complete fall off the wagon.

The brief pleasure from the taste was not worth it - and it's done nothing to wake me up or feel better.

Hey Mike, you are handling it right. We have all done it at least once, and we have all felt like it wasn't worth it. Here's to a better day today.

                      HW 298
                      HW (this time) 248
                      GOAL ONE 228

                      GOAL TWO 213 (personal goal)
                      GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
                      FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

Mike - don't sweat it too much. you made a mistake and you got right back on track which is the important thing. At least now you know you're not really missing anything.

Val - spaghetti squash is good and really easy to make. I had it the other day.

Hope everyone is doing well today. I'm going to go see The Dark Knight tonight and I'm excited about it. Ok, I'm off to the gym now.

                          Good Day Buds!!

I see a few of our Buddy's have stumbled---I couldn't be more PROUD
of all of you bud's! You could have beat yourself to a point where you gave up---but you used it to rationalize your diet, to pick up the pieces and march ahead, to understand why and what trigger's cause a stumble and to know not to repeat it!!
it may cost you a day or 3 but what you learned about yourself, and (by posting it here and sharing) how you in turn will deal with it---is providing me and everyone who reads these boards--Inspiration & motivation!

I hope we are worthy in return.....

Mike, you are doing great to just pick yourself up and keep going, you have an attitude to succeed! I am still not in ketosis yet after 5 days, and I am keeping on!! I will get there again. You will be ok, at least you only stumbled, and didn't outright FALL!!!

Yeah, the spag squash sounds gooood! I made cheeseburger casserole off linda's site last night, made a good lunch today too!

HEY!! BF still managed to lose a pound after that crazy week!! I don't know how he does it! LOL! He had like 2 good days and 2 bad days, on the bad days, it was only like one or two bad meals though. I dunno, he is lucky!!!

You know the amazing part of cheating briefly today? I learned that Diet Coke tastes terrible! Until 3 weeks ago I was a major addict. Most days, Diet Coke was literally the only liquid I drank - and this had been going on for years. I had one this morning, then another in the afternoon and couldn't finish it. My mouth tasted horrible. I think this incident will truly help me kick that habit for good!
                              Mike

P.S. Thanks for the words of support. This isn't going to turn into a fall - I'm already back on plan. Minigoal 2, here I come!
