Caramella - Have a wonderful vacation! And thank you, I consider myself extremely lucky to have an awesome daughter. Sorry, I’m bragging. I just can’t help it.

Shauna – sorry to hear that your DH’s Mother/Grandmother passed away, I extend my condolences to you both. Good luck in getting into the IT Dept. Don’t stress over it, that’s just silly. If it’s meant to be, it will happen. If not, then perhaps there is another door waiting to be opened by you. You’re health is more important. Besides, the better you feel about yourself, the more confidence you exude. It’s only a matter of time that you will be “willing things to happen” in your favor.

Elsie – WTG….Keep up those classes! Ooooooooo, the cabbage soup diet, I remember that one. I lasted 3 days on it and then I think I was sick for a month afterwards. I lost nothing but my good mood on that one. I love Richard Simmons, he’s a hoot! I can’t believe he’s still appearing on TV with those silk (I think they are silk) shorts! LOL Hey, the Filet Mignon that DH cooked the other night with the caramel/toffee like cream sauce – I’m not kidding, I licked my plate. LOL! I begged for more, but he told me Portions dear…..remember portion control. And the roasted tomatoes? Unbelievable. I was sneaking them in the kitchen then pushing them around on the pan to make it look like I didn’t have any. LOL…..I know I ate two thirds of them EASILY! Hey, you need to get the instructor of your class to crack a whip. Those girls don’t belong in the Senior and Beginners class. I would be pissed. Totally F(*&#$#&4 Up the class routine and bump into them a few times. But, be nice about it and apologize every time you do it. Maybe they’ll get sick of it and leave. I had a similar problem when I was a Curves member. They didn’t last long. I just stayed too long on each of the circuit machines forcing them to go around me. They missed several of the machines during their workout. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Whatever you do, don’t let them get the best of you. And DON’T GIVE UP. All else fails, if you can’t beat them, then join them. You might find that they have some techniques that you can benefit from. And if you are on friendly terms, then maybe they will just give in on the music issue. We hefty ladies united at Curves and got the staff to create special timeframes for different types of music.

Sugar – Happy to hear the shower was a success! Yippe, 3 pounds down, WTG Girl! And “two salaries for two jobs”, what’s that? My job is at the point that I’ve replaced upwards of 4 to 5 people and I haven’t received any major increase in a very long time. It seems as though all companies are doing this type of unethical procedure. Why not, it’s not like the government is stepping in to protect us “economically speaking”.

Hey All - I gained a ½ an inch and a ½ a pound. We think I’m not ready for the Squash’s yet. So, am on induction now anyway and will avoid them. But, I have also been on antibiotics for the last week and think that they are not helping. Bill has me eating more fats for my hypo-thyroid (I love olives – all kinds) so this is very good news for me. But, I’m also back to being somewhat constipated and have been eating my dinners late. The goal is to be done eating dinner by 8pm. Also, I got my hair cut, colored, and highlighted! I’m back to my natural dark brown hair with caramel highlights. I look HOT ! Corinne is back to her black hair and this time she put a very tasteful blue tint on the under layer. She looks wonderful! Ok…gotta go….there’s aroma’s lurking in the air and a lot of shuffling around going on in the kitchen. DH is whipping up more awesome grub! PROJECT RUNWAY is on tonight. I’m so excited! It’s one of my favorite shows on BRAVO! OH, one more thing. You guys are right. Bill should open an Atkins prepared food take-out store. I mentioned it to him too. I think he would be very successful! Maybe he’ll do it when he retires.

Thanks for the advice Jackie. will keep it in mind. I am sure that the meds have something to do with those gains!! Either that or it is Bill's fault...but this time I am going to blame the meds and am sure it will come right off once the antibotics stop. Hang in there!!

good morning everyone.. elsie i agree with jackie, who knew she was so sneaky i love it... i have to go shopping for the ingredients for the bill bazz's sorority approved cauliflower pizza crust - i think sugar free popsicles may be stalling me.. too much artificial sweetners for my body per day.. not good but, i am so used to snacking at nite i thought they would be ok.. but it looks like they are not.. i keep losing and gaining these same 2-3 pounds for 2 weeks now.... when i was down for 2 days in a row i thought i was over the "hump" but today it shows 277 again.. arrrgghhh

and i always slow down on the veggies at the end of the week.. i need to plan better for the whole week..

ok question for you all... in the book it says salad dressing to be less than 2g carbs per serving... so i bought this 2g carb ranch that i have been using for a month now with my raw broccoli every day for lunch... read the ingredients and HFCS is in there.. so what should i choose ? is 2g carb more important than the HFCS or should i deffinately go sugar free regardless of the carbs ?? im so confused.. i thought this dressing was good and here i have been giving myself HFCS for a month .. at least.

any help or advice greatly appreciated thank you in advance !

Sugar...that darn HFCS! WHY do they do that?? I have been thinking of trying some of the salad dressings on Linda's site. My opinion....for 1-2 weeks I would ditch both the popsicles and the salad dressing and then introduce one back and see what that does to you and then the next week introduce the other back. That way you can see what it does to you. Who knows...maybe by then you will find a better salad dressing you like or a better evening snack. Hmmm...yep..stay away from both...BUMMER!

            Good Morning All
hope all had a great nite
in Jackie's case--Besides the high dose of the meds--I introduced to much at once--namely the low carb bread and some very high Glycemic Veggie's
            like eatin' pounds of tomatoes!!

            So true! :

The addiction to HFCS is what worried DR A so much( as well as stalling and making people obese)..it leads to sugar cravings which he wanted to try to break us from..and did a good job listing why it's bad for your health and lifestyle.
I buy fresh dressings: I always find them in the refridge section where they keep the veggie's..they carry a large selection of these:
Walden Farms Online Store offers, no carb, low carb, fat free, calorie free, sugar free, gluten free, gluten, Gluten, gluten free, carb free, dips, salad dressing, dressings, syrups, syrup, sauce.
            or I make my own!

not sure about the popsicles?? Wonder if I can create something??
Hmmmm..looking at the ingredients here...only thing found in nature is the
small amount of water they use to make it freeze...
I merely have to get a Master's degree in chemical's and "poof" it's a popsicle!

I know of a site that makes a "mock" sicle, They wanted to avoid the HFCS and the "additives":
Make Your Own Ice Pops - Homemade Popsicles - thedailygreen.com

I have used both Frozen and fresh Califlower for the crust..When steamed both are exactly the same! any way you do it
Keep it dry and after mixing everything together--lay it out thin. Try different cheeses in the mix too! We only use Cheddar now because it's my family's favorite!

Elsie---Tomato's-We tried to slow roast at first--but High heat and fast was the best!
I know those hardcore types--it was tough for me to "ride" with them on the same trails..your words of "fake it till you make it" seems to always get me thru! Hey! I think that saying of yours would be a great title for a book!

Time to weigh in tonight...been a while...hope it reads good or it's "curtins" for
            2 little......never mind.....

Thanks Elsie, I’m blaming it on the meds (I have one week left of them), and too much cheese. Yes, we realized that perhaps I’m eating more than my fair share of it. Oh, by the way, I hid Rocky and Rusty found it. He tossed it out on our walk this morning. LOL Look at my Avitar! Sorry DH, I just couldn’t resist.

Sugar, have you tried frozen tea? You literally take tea (any flavor, add splenda if you need to). Put it in a pie dish, then put it in the freezer, stir it every few hours. It’s a really good alternative to frozen sugar-free pops. From the Bazz household, the salad dressing question would be best answered by my DH. He is in total control of what dressings come into our families reach. But, I can say this; we use “Marie, Walden Farms, and Bill's homemade” dressing a lot. Elsie gives some darn good advice too!
