    Hey Bud's

Well, the board only save's posts from a month back or so...so all the link's I saved are gone
Back in late june, when the oopsie craze hit, everyone was sending in pic's of their latest creations...strawberry shortcake...french toast...Tiramasu..
upside down blueberry cakes and cheese cakes.and so on..Dang..will miss those links..

Elsie is right: The Lighter Side of Low-Carb: Better-Than-Ever-Best-Yet Revoloopsie Rolls!

you can find many recipe's here for those rolls too.

Sugar--- WTG! on surpassing your mini goal!!

Mike--wow your a chef!! with my family--I think I made every "mock" dish
known! LOL --some awesome!!! --other's? run! just run!!

Elsie--isn't honey a natural food? Cereal tho?
Geez....why is Sugar so addictive? then pour milk on top of it all?! your looking at every kids breakfast!
but you know the punishment!! Gallon of water a day! for 2 day's! and it's all flushed out and gone..

    hmmm..think there's a chapter about dressing the kid's in veggie's??? or a self-help group somewhere.........

Shauna...you won't regret your decision to start excercising!
    I started super Slooooow--gentle stretch's first--resembled a Floppin' fish on a deck!
just remember: how you do it--or what you do--doesn't matter--how long? Time is finally on your side! 5 mins of anything compliment's this WOL so much! and is alway's better than 5 mins of nothing..
Sloooow but steady..and now that you started? the finish line is right there!!

Caramella--now there's some great advice! Beating yourself up only make's it worse..better to do like your DH said..and at least you know that in 2-3 day's it's burned and your back into lipolysis.

Tonight I am making the induction Shepard's Pie..I triple the recipe and put it all in a giant turkey pan (rented a crane to put in and take out of the oven)..it's that good and goes that fast!

Hey everyone! I missed y'all! Been busy with work, weekend endeavors, and exercising. Took my Mom to the Red Sox game on Saturday (compliments of DH). We had a wonderful time, even though they lost, and I stayed on plan. Woo-Hoo!

I have a bulged lumbar disc, that with another ten pounds lost, should not cause me anymore pain. I'm so excited knowing this. I'm back to my exercises. I'm doing about 20 minutes of 'Magic Bean' stretches and 1 to 2 hours of walking on the treadmill per day.

I did have my ooopsie roll pancakes two days in a row, so I will need to do like others do. I'll need to power bake and freeze them (am thrilled to know they are freezable)!

As you know, DH is cooking up a storm tonight. I can smell it and I'm drooling. So, I will be stuffing my face as soon as I shut the pc off.

I thought Honey was a natural food? Say it's so. I love to have a teaspoon of honey with my tea when my throat hurts.

And to reply to all the posts as a catch up, here I go:
      - buying houses and dresses, dropping pounds, getting back on plan after a mishap, cooking new delicious recipes (ALL GOOD THINGS)!
      - ok, I'm just too lazy to reply to each and everyone this time around. I shouldn't have stayed away for 4 days. Too much good stuff to catch up on.

Elsie, you're a nice person too! Did I tell you that flattery will get you everywhere?

Hope, where are you? Kisses & Hugs...giggle for me......please?

Good Morning... as I wipe the sleep out of my eyes.

Here is my confession, I did not do any form of exercise on Monday. I got home and started creating in the kitchen instead. Elsie I made the califlower pizza - chicken, bacon, ranch. It was really good. I was shocked ...I think I liked it best cold. The crust really was like a deep dish texture. So, maybe I rolled it to thick. Did yours get like cracker crisp?

My DH found out that his grandmother is very ill last night. He went to see her as they have hooked her up to a morphine drip. She cant eat or drink anything at this stage. I feel so bad for her, yet there is nothing we can do. She just cant swallow anymore & is basicly starving to death. I would be surprised if she weighs more then sixty pounds. -

        That was most evening.

          Good Morning Bud's
Making a corned Beef Hash this morning with poached eggs..
I use purple topped Turnips instead of potato..really delicious.

Shauna..Sorry to hear about your DH's grand mother, sending my best wishes to all of you.

About the pizza---I found that the dryer the veggie the better (either fresh or frozen..I steam it, to avoid excess water).. and thin crust seems to be much crisper..the Walmart $5 dollar microwave steamer is amazing..and my family and friends who never had steamed veggie's before are now hooked on them.

Hope all are having a great day!

Bill..which board only saves the links for a month?? I have already dressed a kid as a veggie...I think DS was an asparagus one year. LOL! How did the shepherd's pie turn out? I don't think I have ever had corned beef hash.

Jackie..yes honey is a natural food. Though I don't think that makes it legal?? Hmmm...is there a rung for that. LOL! Strange thing is I very seldom have it through the year but on extracting day I really look forward to it. We don't extract every year...depends how hard the bees work. We have between 1-3 hives a year. Last year we had 2 then caught a swarm in our own yard then lost the hive that we bought over the winter and still ended up with 2 hives. Got about 90 pounds of honey though. Best year ever!!

Shauna...So sorry to hear about Grandma!!! I say if you like your pizza cold and deep dish tasting then make it that way. Mine did not get crisp in the middle. I was actually talking about cooking it in the frying pan and flipping it over and then adding my toppings. Haven't made it again though but will probably do it like that next time.

I did okay yesterday. No cheats. Not enough water or veggies. But all legal. This morning I made a Quesadilla Quice from Linda's site. Graciously shared a tiny bite with DH then smacked him to stay away from my food..LOL. Had a serving for brekkie and then bag sealed the rest and put in the freezer. It had a can of chilies in it. I am thinking a person could put in a med or hot salsa and get close to the same flavor with less cost. LOL...yes I am cheap!! I also only use 6 oz cheese...no not because I am cheap...because I think that her recipes have way to much cheese in them. And it makes it easier to 'count' my cheese servings. Anyhow...be a good day!!

              Hi All,
I walked the treadmill for 2 hours last night and I plan to do the same tonight after DH and me finishing cooking up a ton of different veggies. He’s slowly teaching me how to cook the Atkins friendly way. Won’t be weighing/measuring until Sunday, but I have a good feeling that I lost at least 1 pound.

              Shauna,
Sorry to hear about your Grandmother-in-law. I’ll include her in my prayers. And listen to Bill…he makes a mean/crispy pizza! Don’t lose sleep over missing a day of exercise, there’s always today!

              Elsie,
Bill threatened to filet my pets like they are fish. So, I was forced to go out and buy all kinds of meat to satisfy his knife fetish. Please whip him for me. Wow, 90 pounds of honey. That’s really cool! I will have my honey sparingly. Hey, I'm glad to hear you didn't cheat yesterday. And that Quesadilla Quiche sounds good. (DH - Hint)

Morning all - just checking in. The willpower has been kind of hit and miss so far this week, but I think if I behave the rest of the week I'll still be down a few pounds on Sunday.

Was going to ask for supper ideas, then read all the comments about cauliflower pizza so I think I'll try that. I still have a bag of frozen cauli. from the last time I was planning to make pizza (but never did).

Hope everybody has a good day.

                  Good Morning!

So, Mike how did the pizza turn out?

I am going out to WalMart to pick up the steamer. I think it might help cuz mine did have a lot of water in it. Maybe I just didnt roll it thin enough either. The dough ball that I got when I stired it up was the average size of a pizza bread dough. I thought the flavor was pretty good too.

I would eat it again... That is how dh rates everything... "Do you like it?" I ask. "Yeah, I'd eat it again." - Okay, so in my head I am making that list of 40 dishes Elsie.

Okay Bill dish about the cornbeef and hash stuff. I really like the real stuff so I would be willing to try it.

Last night I made beef strogenoff. It was awesome. Thank god for califlower, who knew it was so versitile.

Thank you for your prayers...G Grandma is still with us but the dr.s are not sure how long, she sleeps alot now. We are flying her son in from Billings tomorrow. She has not seen him in over two years. A sad reunion, but still a reunion.

Elsie... they have an exercise challange going on. You can join up until the 21st. You should join with me. I signed up for three days. Wanna? I put down three days. Yesterday I messed around with the ball. It was okay. I dont really feel anything in the way of sore muscles or anything & it was kinda fun.

                  Have a great day everyone.

sugar- I am so glad that someone else watches that show. I put it on the DVR right away last night so i would not miss an episode.

There were a couple of girls on there right around my weight. I like to compair my weight with theirs and join the competition.

Exercise... sugar want to join the challange with me?...We can do our own "biggest looser" competition right here.

Okay so I am convinced that a digital scale is not the way to go. Tomorrow night is my night out... and I am headed to Walmart for a scale and a steamer. I am going to walmart and I am going to buy..... (remember that game) ha ha

Bill...stay away from the pets!!! Thanks for posting the recipe in the induction thread. Love that thread.

Shauna...LOL...pizza number 1...39 more dishes to go...LOL! Bill's recipe is in the induction recipe link in my sig line. Lots of yummy stuff there. Probably not on the exercise challenge as I am going away in a week and half for the whole week to a scrapbooking gathering. Which reminds me...I have to find my legal kahlua recipe...LOL!

Mike...check out the sloppy joe pie recipe from Linda's site. I have it in the induction recipe link as well. Even the kids liked that one. On Linda's site there is a stuffed 'potato' that is quite yummy as well.

Sugar..I watch Biggest Loser! Amazing how good the green team looked! That is the team my DD thought would win. It is a very inspiring show! Dr. Phil is doing a weight loss show as well..for teenagers I think...on Thursdays or Friday...I just caught the end of it last week. Survivor starts on the 25.

Sugar/Shauna – We bought a digital “Weight Watchers” scale from Wal-mart when we started this diet over 100 days ago. It’s very accurate and doesn’t change when stepping on and off of it. DH and I watched “Biggest Loser” last night. In looking at what they are doing and losing in one weeks’ time frame puts us all to shame. I don’t feel bad though. You’re right in that we can find inspiration in their actions. Well, at least we don’t have to suffer as bad as they do. I particularly like the part where they show the effect of obesity and smoking on their internal organs and then calculate their true age taking into account their chronological age and the damage they’ve done to their bodies. I’m not hooked to it (yet), but if I had to root for a team, I guess I like the Brown team the best, but I would like to see the Yellow team win because they seen to have the most to gain from the experience.

Elsie - Thanks for teaming up with me to WHIP Bill into shape. The pets look up to him, and I don’t know if they are amazed or in fear. I like to think they are in awe of him. And I learned early on that if I screw up cooking then I never ever have to attempt to cook that meal again. I happened upon this wisdom accidently. LOL !

(DH – I know you’re reading this. This is NOT a ticket to punish me by NOT cooking tonight).

Mike – Staying on plan is hard, but it looks as though you are starting to get into a groove. WTG!

Sugar..I do the same...looking at their weight and comparing to mine. I don't know that I would ever have the guts to do the show. Too embarrassed to let the world see....or I guess...more exact...people who used to know me. And so I guess ashamed would be a better word. I was glad yellow stayed too...though to be honest if I was on another team I would say that it was unfair that the two teams got to do it with only the one team member. Definately helped having to only worry about getting themselves there.

Jackie...We would do as good if we were exercisig as much as they were. Bill would rock on that show. I am so surprised they can even move the next day!! I thought of you the other day when I saw a dog costumes at Walmart...LOL! Heck...I did do as good my first week on Atkins. The first time I lost 10 pounds and the second 9.

Okay...back to the kitchen. Steamed 2 cauliflower heads and a spaghetti squash today so far....cleaning out the fridge.
