      Hi Jimmie, i want in, im still doing an extended induction, so im aiming for 12-15 a day, can you go over by any chance, can you go all the way up to your 20net carbs, i usually have about 20 a day already and going down would cut me back just curious!!!

        lisa, i've been testing different foods and the checking out the net carb counts and i think you're going to be a little hard pressed to go over the 12 to 15. check out your most recent totals and collect just the data for the veggies and see what you net carbs come out to. i thought i was eating plenty of veggies but my totals are barely making it. i've been at 21 and 22 net carbs each day.

        if you happen to go 16 or 17 on days, it won't knock you out of the challenge or keep you from gaining the cauliflower award.

          Count me in, I am trying to get back to induction stages so gonna shoot for the 12-15 veggie carbs!

                This is going to be hard, I thought I was eating loads of veg, but not nearly enough for this. I'll be away for part of the week at the inlaws, so I'll have to pack lots of celery and stuff

                I'm on OWL so 17-20 net carbs for me

                      hello everyone,

                      I'm VERY New to this WOE but hey i'm always up for a challenge cont me in. But like TMN I'm very low in my net carbs not only of my veggies but of my total day and i'm eating much more than i ever did. for example yesterday my total net carbs went up to only 11grms....i think i need help!!

                      I'm in Induction Phase - 12 to 15 net carbs

                        good question! and i think i have the answer. on page 133 of the book, Dr. A has a Sample Daily Menu of 20 Grams of Carboydrate.
                        you'll notice "avocado" listed among the breakfast foods. i am pretty much figuring if the good doctor can list it in his sample menu in the induction chapter, then it's good for us!

                        also, if you check the nutritional values pdf (link provided in first post) you'll indeed see that avocado is listed for induction.

                        does that make you happy miss baarb?

                              on page 174 of the book, Dr. A has California avocado listed under the Vegatables catagory. you'll notice this is a the Power of Five list for OWL. now i can't say why it's listed here and also shows up on the menu on page 133 but you can bet i'll try to find an answer. i do know that avocados have alot of fiber.
                              1 avocado, (173 gram) has nearly 15 carbs but the fiber is listed as 11.5 + with a net carb coung of 3.183. my guess as to the power of 5 and the induction menu..... the fiber count is high. BUT as promised i will get one who is much wiser than i to check this out.

                                on page 129 under the special catagory foods, you can add olives, sour cream or the unsweetened heavy cream, lime or lemon juice and 1/2 small avocado. read it for yourself so you know what i am telling is correct.

                                be aware that these foods might slow your loss.
