    LOLOL looks like Marion, one idea for a future mini-challenge would be: to avoid all foods made with Splenda for one weekend.

          Hi all! I was doing ok and I kinda blew it yesterday. I had 2 cookies but it didn't do a lot of damage to my weight. I've got to be more proactive in keeping legal treats around so I don't get into everybody else's stuff.


          My foot is doing great! It still hurts and I have a funky boot on but it feels better everyday. Hubby decorated my boot with kitty buttons LOL it's really cute.

          I'm going to have a great day! No cheating! Well, not much anyway. I input my food for today in fitday and my fats were too high so I may have to have a glass of wine to up my calories and lower my fat! It's easier to click on my link and see my menu. With the fiber, my total carbs for today is 15. Fat is 65%, carbs like 4% and protein 29 or 30%.

              You don't look like you have enough calories today. Are you feeling full?

              The cookie attack must not have damaged me too bad. I'm a pound down so I'm not gonna stress too much. I really will try not to do it again though. Luckily the dern cookies are gone now!!!

              Now the tough part. Getting through the weekend without going nuts. I will have my wine though, I can't seem to give that up. I just gotta stay away from the chips and all that other crap. I've been starting to fry jicama and turnips. I LOVE them!!! Last night I cut up and fried a turnip in butter. When they were almost as brown as I wanted them, I put some shredded cheese on them and let it melt. Oh my goodness! I almost ate the WHOLE thing! But I had half instead!

              I CAN be good this weekend! How about y'all?

                I have a hard time getting my calories in on Friday. I don't eat meat on Fridays, so...other things just aren't as calorically dense. Right now, I'm frying up Shrimp and veggies, and the smell is killing me because I am DARN hungry!

                Glad to hear that cookie didn't set you back! Wine should be ok, since you seem to be doing awesome on your portion control! WTG, Deb!

                  Hi Ari and Debbie. I've been thinking. I think this thread served its purpose, and now we are all needing to move on? Maybe we could keep up with each other through PM's? I'ld miss you both if we didn't catch up with each other, so know I will be pm'ing you both. Let me know what you think. Debbie, do you have a journal? Its a great place to post your menu and exercise and stuff and we could still pop in and keep up with how its going. My heart just isn't here anymore...?

                    Hey Marion, I just sent you an email saying ...
                    If there isn't a challenge in here, then I'll be less inclined to come to the boards at all. If it werent for the challenge and with the way I'm in this emotional limbo right now, I wouldn't even be coming to the boards.

                    Maybe we need to spice up this challenge? Perhaps go ahead and do mini-challenges? After all, when we first started, we started it as a re-induction challenge. Perhaps we need to take this challenge for the what it was initially set up for - a CHALLENGES thread. This challenge doesn't serve its purpose right now because neither I nor Debbie have been posting much and we need to comment and feedback more like we used to. We haven't been interacting and of course we'd get bored with it.

                    I mean, how did we all go over the weekend? did we survive the "clean cheat-free" weekend mini-challenge or not???

                      No ! First I had wine ...then I went off the diet yesterday because of the "preggo" mistake . But, I'm back on track today! As of right now, I'm restarting induction to rekick up the ketosis, then burning my way into new territory! Ok, lets do this!

                        I blew it so bad yesterday! We went to the amusement park and we took our own food. I guess the potato salad just called my name too loudly! I started out so good, too!

                        Next weekend should be better. I've got to get my hubby's birthday present put together so I won't have time to go anywhere. I'll stay home where my legal food is and I'm going to make some "snacks" that I like in case the munchies hit.

                        You guys are great! I'll go with whatever you want to do. I believe we are all trying to stay the course but things do happen and it's nice to not get beat up over it. I do like the mini challenges, even though I didn't make it through this one. I have to just do it... no excuses!

                        I hope y'all had a great weekend! I'm looking forward to a very cheat-free week!

                          Sorry girls, I am not laughing at you, i'm laughing at all of us... NONE of us managed to survive that challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          I fell off with those darned chocolate bars, and even if I'm in some limbo land with lo-carb choc, THOSE BARS aren't allowed for me!

                          Marion preggers is NOT a mistake - you had a legit reason to go off plan and there were lots of emotions I am sure you had to deal with that we did not know about. Ok, we shouldn't give into emotional eating, but thinking you are preggers is a BIG and DIFFERENT thing and disappointment is another big emotion to deal with, so that doesn't count as a cheat in the challenge... but the wine, well...

                          Debbie amusement parks are tough, but how did you manage to hear the potato salad calling out to you in all that din and noise at the park?

                          Ok, let's recoup.
                          Normally our weekday are ok right? It's the weekend we fall down on right?
                          So let's set shorter challenges - how about CLEAN SUNDAY this weekend. If we stuff up during the first part of the weekend then we have time to try and recover on Sundays, and I know Sundays can be hard going cheat-free, esp when there are family gatherings. Shall we try a CHEAT-FREE Sunday this Sun 24 Jul?

                          In the meanwhile, we have Tues-Fri to contend with - you know, get back into ketosis from the weekend etc etc So how about doing some damage-control for the next few days and see if we can make it to CLEAN SUNDAY?

                                Hey Gals!!!!

                                Sheesh, I've been working from home again today and lucky I have ear-plugs - the racket they're making putting new floorboards in for us!!! Our apartment has been in complete disarray since the weekend (kinda like my confused-head-in-limboland at the moment) so we have had to rely mainly on take-out and fast foods. Nothing too junky like burgers or anything like that, but still, sitting here with your furniture piled around your ears, all stuff into 2 bedrooms while you're trying to get floorboards into the rest of the house! Nothing except my internet is connected and we have a bed to sleep on, a place to shower but nowhere to sit eat, watch tv, do anything else, SO it's mostly been quick food.

                                Ok, I am pleased to say that today I didnt have a chocolate bar and am not inclined to have another for the rest of the day. (I am rather pleased with myself about this coz I have unfortunately addicted myself to the one and only sweet thing - these Cadbury Choc Boost bars). The only foods I've eaten so far (nearly dinner-time now) are 2 chicken wings and a bowl of noodles. I'm rather amazed that I'm not hungry, bloated and rather happy that I am slowly learning portion control. I think being told and thinking of all the foods I couldn't have just wanted made me WANT them even more.

                                I managed to catch up a little with Knicknack today. I think she's an amazing person! She inspired me a little today, made me think that I'd like to restart Atkins soon... well I haven't quite come off, but maybe restarting OWL sooner than I was planning to.
