You know you're a slacker when: you have scroll back 2 pages from just a day ago to catch up!

I need to get a lap top with wireless internet access so I can sit in class and pretend to take notes while I catch up with you all! Shessh! Look at you bunch of losers! I love it!

My mind is a loss at the moment trying to remember personally thoughts I was thinking while i was scrolling.....I should of had two windows open to read and type at the same time! Ugh! Hinesight! lol....next time! Ha!

I love reading everyone's menu here today because it's giving me ideas. lol.

Breakfast: Taco salad, lettuce, tomato, onion, ground beef, ranch dressing.

Lunch: Same thing, but NO tomato, but added cheese.

Dinner: Pot roast & green beans (grandma's style....w/bacon grease!).

    No change..still holding at 208. That's okay, I won't fret.....yet. I'm reading Cleo's advise though.

            Good morning all you lovelies!

I didn't exercise last night because the kids had a late study night and I was wiped out. I'll definitely do it tonight, and we're camping this weekend, so that'll be a good time. So here are my totals otherwise, with the yawping demons of wanna-eat driving me nuts last night. I don't know if it was estrogen or the alfredo sauce, but I had monster-bad cravings last night...

            Breakfast:
            flax cracker
            yogurt
            flax
            splenda

            Lunch:
            Taco salad

            Snack:
            flax cracker
            yougurt
            flax
            splenda

            Dinner:
            spinach lasagne,
            pine nuts
            alfredo
            green beans

Snack- an ounce of extra sharp cheddar

Hey, woman! How did the incline go?! Did you like it?

Hiya Lisa! You reminded me...I ate green beans yesterday, too! My goodness, in some way we're total twins in what we like to eat! I am all about the taco salad. WAY TO GO on hitting 208! That is so awesome!

LOL on Dori from Finding Nemo. I'm told that's me too. Of course I don't buy it. Not for a minute. Oooh! Oooh! pick me pick me!

Sorry I did not get to check in yesterday. It was such a hectic day.

I am SO proud of everyone!

UPDATE: Thanks for the support and encouragement about the birthday cake situation for me at our staff meeting on Wednesday. I am happy to report that I abstained completely. It was a good feeling, let me tell ya! They were so sweet and got an angel food cake and had strawberries and whipped cream. I know that would have been fine for Weight Watchers or whatever and they were so thoughtful to "try" to get something they thought I could have. I took my secretary aside after the meeting and told her I hoped she did not think I was being ungrateful or rude and I appreciated her being so thoughtful, but that I was not eating any "sugar" right now and was trying really hard to be at a certain goal weight by New Years Eve. She was sweet about it and said she understood and was proud of me, etc. So, there was a happy ending there.

Menu and Exercise: I went to another Body Pump class at Gold's Gym yesterday. I love that class. Then, last night when DH got home I went back to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I stil have not been rewarded with a loss, but hopefully one will show up soon.

I have been staying on plan with eating. Here is yesterday's menu:

                Breakfast:

2 eggs, 4 slices sugar free bacon, 1 T. of half and half and 8 oz. of coffee with 1 T. carmel Davinci SF syrup

Lunch: 1 serving low carb version of Farmhouse Pie

snack: 2 T. organic, natural SF peanut butter measured and eaten out of the tablespoon.

Dinner: 3 cups organic baby romaine lettuce and organic raw spinach with 5 oz. grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast. 5 cherry tomatoes, 1 T. feta cheese and 1 T. ranch dressing (measured).

                Calories: 1226 calories, 76 Fat, 20 carb (16 net), 114 protein

Why am I not losing????????????? This is so discouraging. In fact, I am up to 210 this morning!!!!! A total GAIN of 2.5 pounds this week. I am drinking SO much water too! I feel sure it is water weight, but how do I get rid of it???????????

Please don't change my weight until the official weigh in day. (sob, tear)

Thanks to everyone on this challenge! I appreciate each and every one of you.

                Tammy

I weighed in at 269 this morning! So if my math is right (but it IS early!) is a 3 lb loss! I'm so glad to be as far away from the 290s AS POSSIBLE!!!

I have some bad news to report Dh fell off the wagon last night He started on Monday, and has been so grumpy and nasty to be around he told me he just couldn't do it anymore. It was his decision. I think everyone has to lose weight in their own time, not because someone tells you to, or doing it to support someone else [me], because then your heart isn't in it. He'll be back, I just know it!

                  My menu yesterday:

                  Breakfast: deviled egg
Lunch: Leftover hamburger patties w/ cheese and bacon
Dinner: Chicken Fajita Salad *Yum!* (it was so good, and I felt full up until I went to bed!)

                  Calories: 1236 Carbs: 6 Fat: 91

I love you all, thank you for being such an awesome support system!!!

I REALLY hate it when I type a lot before realizing my cursor never made it into the box and I was typing nothing!

LOL!!! Tammy-- you are totally retaining water! A lot of what you ate (bacon, cheese, peanut butter, feta, ranch) has uber-salt in it, which will turn you into a major water vacuum.

Also, you are exercising like crazy! You have to expect that for a little while, you are breaking down muscle, which builds up muscle, which makes your metabolism higher.

At the same time, your body is fighting to hold onto weight in the form of water. So even if you're down 3 pounds this week, you could be holding up to 2 pounds of extra muscle and 4 pounds of extra water! You sould show a gain, even if your body has lost.

There are times that the scales should be ignored, and this is one of them!

You are doing the right things. Do not get discouraged! You are going through a very common ordeal! I'm there now!

WTG on refraining from the cake! You are the woman!

Twg...I won't change them until weigh day. Hang in there. Muscle ways more than fat and it will even out in the end. These times are when the tape measure is our friend! It sounds like you have an awesome support group at work!!! Situations like that just make you all the much stronger. Way to go!

Fancy...You DH tried. That is what is important. He will be back when he is ready or he finds his own way. Is he still going to the gym with you? What is important is that you stay strong in this WOE!

Sharon...we are here to support you!

Everyone's menu looks good enough to eat! ;^)

                            Cleo, thank you so much!!!

Elsie, That wasn't me, someone else was getting their DH to go to the gym with them. I just use my gazelle at home, and I cannot get Dh to use it. It's so depressing, Dh only weighs 230, if he would just really put his nose to the grindstone he could be under 200 lbs within a few months. But I'm going to let him do his own thing. He mentioned wanting to go back to southbeach, so if that's what he wants, more power to him (he likes it b/c you can have brown rice and whole grain wheat pasta), personally, it was a highway to **** for me!

to everyone! Keep up the great work!
