Re: Yoly and Sarahs N*M*F*A CHALLENGE

I have a confession.....I blew it last night. I have felt so uptight the last few weeks that last night I just wanted to let my hair down and just eat at my new favorite restaurant. It's a Texas BBQ place that serves very much like a home done meal down south. I got their ribs (that was ok) but drank 1/2 pitcher of regular Bud (my favorite) and ate their awesome potato salad and cornbread. No, I didn't have dessert and made sure that I ate all of my carby sides there so I just brought my ribs home to get a good start on the week. Yes, I chose not to be legal and enjoyed every minute of it . Now to be back on the wagon..... and not let it happen again anytime soon.

Good job Cristy, I have faith in you.
My problem is, if I allow myself to cheat, it will become easier to cheat. So, rather than tempt myself, I just say NO.
I have lost over 40lbs since Feb 27th, I feel realy good about that. I know I still have a ways to go, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
No offense to anyone, but cheating for me is not acceptable. I know I wont have the strenght to committ myself to this wol if I allow myself the occasional binge. But, to each there own. Have a great day everyone.

Re: Yoly and Sarahs N*M*F*A CHALLENGE

Thanks for the happy birthday wishes it started out as a great day but ended terribly.

I am cat sitting my bosses cat and when I went to check the mail around 10 at her place the cat ran out of the house and dissapeared. She is supper attached to the cat, I had a full blown panic attack, hyperventilating and all. I stayed up looking until 1 a.m., cried the rest of the night. I took the day off work the next day and walked the neighborhood, put up signs, everythign I could think of. I even offered a 200 dollar reward. I had to call my boss and she rushed home that day, instead of two days later, so she cut her vacation short! She got there called out the cat's name and the damncat came out running from under the neighbor's deck where I looked only about 10 times!!!

Luckily she was super nice and understanding about it. She even said that she was planning on coming home early anyway so it was really all ok. But still my birthday sucked!

Phew, the rest of it was ok, I went to the circus with Abi and we had such a fun time!!!

Ok, well anyway, now for my eating stuff. I did really great this weekend, no cheats, and I worked out, hooray me!

I thougth I was gonna get my Road Runner at home plus my phone and cable TV but they couldn't install it on Saturday when they came out so that's why I have been MIA these last couple of days. Just wanted to say I'm here, doing great, still sticking to the NMFA credo and all that good stuff.

Better run, since I took the day off on Friday I have a ton of stuff to catch up on.

Oh, one more thing, since I didn't get to wear my birthday dress for my birthday I decided to wear it to work today and I look really hot! (If I do say so myself, he he)

                      Today is a great day!

I woke up early and got my run out of the way. Then I ate some breakfast and began to clean the house. Needless to say, by 10 am my house was spotless. I then felt the compulsion to run another 2 miles. so I did.
                      I feel great!

Congrats to everyone for gettting their workouts done.

Yoly, you just gave me another reason to dislike cats..LOL. I am glad everything worked out though, good job staying the course over your birthday. I am sure your birthday dress looks fantastic on you.

Christy, you are already an inspiration, you have lost alot of weight and with your approach I am sure the weight will just keep flying off. Good Job!

Sarah, glad to hear you survived the weekend. I have never planted a teee but I am sure the digging is brutal. Dont feel to bad about the mistaken beverage. That was purely an accident and not a conscious choice. Besides, I am sure that you already went through those carbs just worrying about it..LOL. I pray the new medicine helps you regain some energy

Slimdown, let me know what you think about ramp it up. It always, kicks my but.. Its a great workout.

Well, I hope everyone has a fantabulous day!

I hear ya Sarah. It is a totally different workout! I love the way cardio makes me feel when im done, and I really like the soreness from weight training. I just need to find a common ground with both of them.
I have always been taught you cant build mass if you have a regular cardio routine. Is this true?

Re: Yoly and Sarahs N*M*F*A CHALLENGE

I think it ahs more to do with How much food you are taking in. I was ruinning 40 miles a week and weight training and still built up LBM. I ate a lot though Upwards of 3500 calories a day Seriously LOL. Course I was losing weight then too HA HA HA.

I think if your cardio is too long and drawn out that your body will naturally start to find east enegy stores and it goes to muscle so you don't want to draw your cardio out any longer then 1 hour and it's important to feed your body when you are done so it has something to repair itself thus the Protein meal is good there. If you want to build mass you almost have to up your calories 200 past your mainteneance and you kinda get a bit fluffy but it helps your body build muscles. When you first start weight training you get something called the Honeymoon stage where you can build a lot of LBM very quickly and easly but that does dininish as you keep with your training and you ahve to work harder to build the muscle.
