    The treadmill is a definite. I wanted to go back to the gym today but I have to go to my second job when I leave here and I doubt if I end up having time. Grrrrr !

    I have to admit I slacked off on the exercise about two months ago when I got home from vacation. I haven't been motivated, but guess what?? This challenge has pushed me back into wanting to go! If I don't make it today, I'm definitely going tomorrow.

    AND... I'm going to check into how much a personal trainer would cost for a couple sessions so I can figure out what kind of weight training exercises I need to be doing.

      Man, I agree with that. If I don't get up and do it in the morning it's so hard to actually get done. I even like hitting the gym at 6:00 am. It's out of the way and a LOT less crowded.

        Good Monday Morning

        Day 2 and I'm determinded to complete this challenge.
        How are you all doing today?
        Whatcha going eat today?
        Back to work here for my 1 day this week, then tomorrow I'm back on vacation time until Saturday. Today I'm going to walk again at lunch time, then eat.

        Breakfast - 2 bratwurst, 1 cup green beans, parmesign cheese (fresh)
        2 c. coffee with heavy cream
        Lunch - Egg salad (mayo, 3 dill pickle chips diced up, 1 tsp spicy mustard)
        Dinner - Hamburger pattie with cheese, mayo and mustard, salad greens, 2 cherry tomatos, blue cheese dressing.

        Drinking all my water today.
        Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

            Sounds like you are right on track Patty! I second the "good veggies" from Silly. I'm an egg salad feind! I couldn't survive Atkins without the boiled egg. Hope you have a great walk!

              I'm not doing so hot in the veggie department like ms. Patty! LOL

              Breakfast--scrambled eggs, 3 sausage patties, 1/2 cup honeydew melon 3 grapes
              Lunch--Rotisserie chicken skin and meat breast, wing, thigh. 2 cups of lettuce, ranch dressing.
              I have no clue what dinner will be...oh, I have leftover steak and yellow "rice" (cauliflower with yellow rice seasoning).Yum.

                  Well... weigh- in was not good for me today or yesterday. It's day 4 of induction and my weight was up to 165 yesterday and 167 today . Not good news. I'm only eating induction foods but I'm eating a lot! I'm in ketosis, so there's no problem there. I'm just wondering if I should change stats today. What to do . It's not even close to TOM! Bummer

                  This will not discourage me as I trust the process. I think my metabolism might be down or a few other things might be going on. But, I would like to wait until next Monday to weigh again.

                  Hi Outback - I love that this group is building too! Can you imagine if we all lose 10 pounds...if we add it up, we'll have a huge grand total - how fun! Nice encouragement about the exercise and "Flip the Switch".

                  Cristy - glad you mentioned the water - see, I'm going in to see a 32 oz container of water while I'm sitting on the computer - thanks !

                  Silly - I think Saty will need to make special "treats for you since you only have 3 pounds to lose. Every 1/3rd pound should count as a treat!...lol. P.S. 9/1 isn't that far away.

                  WoW Saty - good for you on the exercise! I need to pick an exercise for today. OK, I will do a light weight weight training today! I promise!

                  Patty - Looks like a great food day!

                  Joy - WoW... I've never made the Cauliflower with yellow rice seasoning, that sounds so good. Looks like you get veggies for dinner!

                    Hang in there Cher-- I hopped on the scale this am too.. I knew I had it coming- I had lost 10 pounds since surgery, well, I gained 7#'s back... man oh man...

                    we will get there...

                    So I know where I am starting from and will re weigh next Monday -- hoping for sucess.

                    So Cher take what you have for a weight now-- and measure your loss from that!!

                    Well, I had 2 hard boiled eggs for today-- and some water..... I am going ot get a walk in today, and hope for better eating. I am just not feeling up to eating much today-- Iwill work on that. I am goin got eat a salad for supper!!!

                      Here is the seasoning I use (Sazon Azafran and Sazon with Coriander and Annetto)

                      I steam the cauliflower, mix some butter (last night 3 tbspn for a whole head of cauliflower) and one packet of the sazon. It turned it about the color of the powdered maccaroni and cheese LOL but the flavor was like that of yellow rice. I stirred it all together using a fork which shredded the cauliflower at the same time to the consistency of rice.

                          BJS, to give it more of a rice-a-roni taste, instead of steaming it with water, add some chicken broth to steam it. Then add the seasoning. Mmmmmm. That would be good..and it's what I'm going to do next time I make this.

                              Bjs - you had surgery - be gentle! So, you'll get the pounds off during this challenge! You're right, we will get there soon.

                              I spilt the difference and put in 165... by tonight I will probably own up to the 167... ! Wow, I can't believe an extra 2 pounds overnight! OK, I'll get over it in a second!

                              Joy, thanks for leaving the recipe for the Cauliflower rice. I can't wait to buy it. Doesn't Williams-Sonoma sell a cooking utensil that makes the cauliflower look like rice ?
