Liz, don't let it get you down! Did you JUST measure in the middle of the day? Goodness, you crazy lady, why did you do that? During the day we swell and retain water. So, like you weigh, MEASURE first thing in the morning!

It could still be TOM. It usually takes me a full week to get rid of all that water...

Liz, you are so funny, I'm LOL and my kids have come to see what's so funny, and want to know why you are blaming TOM on your weight gain (they think he's a guy) Advice to you "don't let men control you" (meaning TOM)

Liz - don't worry about the inches V the pounds. Quite often they are at odds. There are times when inch loss is far greater than pound loss. The main thing is that you lose in either inches or pounds. Both is a real bonus! I agree with Julie you prob picked the worst time to measure. 1st thing in the morning is the only way!

So now - heres to my results. Just weighed and measured myself. Its TOM time for me too, so I'm pretty happy with the fact that I've lost, when its normally time for a gain.

                        Weight loss - 1.5lbs
                        Inch loss - 3

Hmm, well I have mixed feelings about my results this week. I had thought that my weight being up was due to water, and perhaps it still is (I had another huge workout day yesterday) but I think perhaps it might be actual muscle?

I'm up to 181 today (but I'm down from 183, which is where I was at after my weightlifting extravaganza over the weekend) and I lost a LITTLE bit, inch-wise:

                              body part.........4/11...............4/18
                              hips.................38.................37.5
                              chest...............37.25..............37

TOTAL INCHES LOST THIS WEEK: .75" (yikes that's it!?)
TOTAL INCHES LOST SINCE BEGINNING OF CHALLENGE: 2.5"

My arms actually got bigger this week...but at least it's muscle. At least, that's how I'm making myself feel better! But what this means is that I'm due for a loss. Usually I build muscle and my arms get a bit bigger, then I burn off more fat on them.

Blazing, my Publix supermarket carries it. It's called Fage Greek Yogurt (Pronounced Fah-Yay). If your publix doesn't carry it, ask the manager. I'm sure they can get it for you. You can have it on the dairy rung and it's awesome! it's very thick and creamy....actually I find it very similar to the Daisy brand sour cream...but with that yogurt flavor that only yogurt has. It's got the live bacteria cultures, so you get the probiotic benefit too. Just add your own sweetner (if you choose), I personally like it plain. I add it to smoothies, sauces, all sorts of stuff. Yum Yum.

I've also gotten it at Whole Foods, Wild Oats, Fresh Market here in Tampa. Not sure exactly where PC, Florida is?
