Hi, Sookie .. and welcome! Congrats on the nine lbs. lost!

Norha ~ I don't put anything on my knee at all, cold or hot, because it hurts too much. I can't even have a blanket over my knee, lol.

How are those size 12 feeling, Hugs back to you!

            Hi all,
Sorry I've been out of town on business, and haven't had the time to be on line. I have updated the numbers since Nov 3, so the numbers in green are up to Nov 15th. If I've made any mistakes, please let me know. I have also added LadyAmber75, Sookie, and Delrium-Zer0 to our challenge, welcome to you. I'm here to stay now till the end of the year, no more business trips for me! Now I can concentrate again, on losing that 20 lbs by the end of the year. Everyone seems to be doing so well. Keep up the great work folks! And remember to report in your numbers this weekend!

Welcome back home cruisergirl! Please keep my number the same. I won't be able to weigh in until the week before Christmas. That is when I am suppose to have this brace off and be able to put weight on my foot again.

Disney Diva - Hang in there doll. This is just a small hurdle, you're strong enough to over come it...no worries. You have come such a long way.

Good Morning everyone, aggghhhh! I told myself that I wasn't going to look at the scale this morning but my feet forced me to and I went up a pound. My keto stix are turning the darkest purple that I think is possible - What the heck? I'm hoping it's just the usual hormonal nonsense and that it passes in a few days. I didn't realize what an event I was making out of weighing myself until I saw that one lb gain. *sigh* Norah, thanks for the warm welcome, could you send a Whoosy my way? Hope yiur knee is getting better with each day Liss.

Hi Razzle dear! Six pounds kicked to the curb ... good going!

Sookie, don't let the "mechanical beast" (aka the scale) drive you nuts ... it will, if you let it, because scales are inherently EVIL! Seriously, don't become a slave to it because it's normal for your weight to fluctuate day to day, especially with HORMONES having their weigh (ha ha ... little Atkins humor there ... *wink wink*); also, if you're exercising regularly you'll build muscle, which weighs more than fat ... but you knew that. I'm losing more inches than pounds, which are creeping off, ever so slowly ... so I feel your frustration. Hang in there ... try not weighing yourself until the next check-in with this Challenge (Nov. 15) ... two weeks ought to show you better results!

LOL! Norah, you're so right! That scale is positively demonic! I am resolved to ignore it as it beckons to me to me every morning. On a happier note, I was able to fit into several pairs of pants that I haven't worn in years. Still have some dunlop syndrome but it's a start and it made me feel better after my evil scale experience. Thanks!

Razzle! Way to go doll! Sookie, Norha was the person to get me to see the scale for what it truly is too, lol. And Miss Norha big hugs to you.

I'm actually felling really good today. I've cut WAY back on the pain meds, but I'm feeling good. I think I'll try and make my way to the back yard to watch my kids play or something. It is beautiful here today, and as Vegas ususally doen't get nice weather all that often (usually as hot as heck or colder than an ice box) so I don't want to waste our nice days with me sitting in a bed looking out a window at everyone else enjoying it.

I looked at my surgical cuts today...and it looks like skin is growing over one of the staples, makes me a bit queezy. My appointment to get them out is on the 19th, that is 13 days after the surgery. I hope that isn't too long.... gross.

Anyhow keep up the good work my fellow Atkineers!

I think you're very brave Liss. When I had My C-section, I refused to look at the staples and showered and washed over them with my eyes closed. To tell you the truth, the plaster that they put over the staples was far more unpleasant than the staples themselves, But they seemed so ... industrial. But FYI, taking them out is only a little weird and uncomfortable - something that you can get through with a few deep breaths and it's done. After the pain you've been through, it's a cakewalk. Er, should I use another metaphor?
