So though it isn't new years, but it is the 30th....do we weigh in today? Tomorrow??? The first????

If it's today then I'm weighing in at 271.6 pounds =)

You know Liss, I'm only grumpy about it because I have allowed others to influence me in pushing aside my needs for theirs. Honestly, if I hadn't been doing this diet and this challenge, I would have packed on at least ten pounds instead of losing weight this holiday season. So I really haven't done badly at all . There's that chapter in the NDR book, where Dr Atkins talks about how we need to really look at the emotional pitfalls that make us eat badly and I think I learned what some of my weakness are this time around and am better prepared to deal with some issues when they crop up - cause ya know they will, lol.

Hi Sookie! Aw, 2009 is a fresh start for all of us ... onward and upward, girlfriend!

Well, folks ... I set out to lose 10 lbs. over the course of this Challenge and, amazingly, actually did it, with an extra pound thrown in ... down 11 pounds, with another 10 to go until my goal of 140. I've really been a good girl this past week and walking like a madwoman on that treadmill, so apparently I undid the damage from Thanksgiving and Christmas. But I learned my lesson ... stay with the program; it's so much easier!

SO happy to have found Atkins and this Board and all of you wonderful, wonderful peeps. Liss, Sookie, Razzle, Diva, Rose, Rae, cruisergal, Kell, gman, rhiannon ... all of us ... we are lean, mean weigh-losing machines! w00t!

      HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

I'll second that Norah, this has been a great forum and I look forward to seeing all of you on other challenges . I may not have reached my goal this time but I will and won't give up. I think I just need more exercise to rev things up, so I think I'll sign on for some of those kinds of challenges next to keep me moving. You have all been a great inspiration and a source of support! Thank you!

what challenge in march are you talking about? if anybody started something now, in this forum, it would not be a new you, new year but it might be memorial day or maybe even longer term such as a july 4 challenge.

there is nothing to be in, sookie. this challenge ended and nothing new has been started.

to avoid any more confusion, i'll close this thread.
