      yesterday i did all my water, and 100 abs crunches - i did some walking, but I wouldnt class that as over 400 cals an hour!!!!

        i hour of cardio and 60 crunches. all the water and then some.

          I drank 100 ounces of water yesterday. I walked briskly for 2.5 miles (40 minutes) yesterday but that's still not enough cardio but I couldn't go any more because I was out of breath with a stitch in my side. I'm REALLY out of shape. And I was still sore from Monday's sit-ups, so I tried to do them in small sets of 10. I only did 60. I think I'm too out of shape for this. I know eventually, I'll be able to do this, but I'm not sure if I should maybe drop out of this challenge and just pick up another one in the future? Or just set slightly lower weenie-version goals for myself?

            Sherrie - dont drop out - just gradually build yourself up to the 400 abs and 3 hours cardio - if you only do half or a quarter its more than what you would do normally!!!! You'll be really surprised at how fit you get in such a short time!!!

                Just finished ramp it up set... whew!!


                Restart -10/18/2009 - 204.6 lbs (UGH!!!)
                Goal 1 - under 200 - met 10/19/2009
                Goal 2 - 190 - met 10/25/2009
                Goal 3 - 180
                Goal 4 - 170
                Goal 5 - 160
                Goal 6 - 150
                Goal 7 - 140
                Goal 8 - 135
                Goal - To zip up current pants without sucking it in-10/25/09
                Goal - To need a belt/roll waistband of current pants
                Goal - To wear the next size down - 11/13/09
                Goal - To wear the next size down - without a muffin top!! 11/18/09
                Goal - To wear 'those' jeans (ya know - the ones in the back of the closet, hidden under a winter coat)
                Day 13 - wine free/ cheat free

                  This will probably sound rediculous but I can't believe i havn't been on the scale since 6 am monday morning. I thought it would be so hard and it really isn't so hard when you have your mind made up! Proud of myself!

                    I think you are doing just great. It is the first week of up-ing your exercise so your body will be sore. I did crunches on the ball this week instead of the floor and on Tuesday it hurt to do everything! I'm also doing them in sets of 10 as I'm finding the sit ups abit painful on my back and neck. Either I'm not doing it right or sit ups just arent an exercise my back is strong enough to cope with my weight.

                    Its only week 1 and if you keep up at a pace that you are comfortable at, you will get stronger and will be able to do a few more mins cardio/extra sit ups. This is a 20 week challenge, plenty of weeks to go and to get stronger.

                    26 yr 5'2 F
                    Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs.
                    On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs.
                    Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs.
                    Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.

                      Thanks for the encouragement! Jane gave me a pep-PM and I'm feeling less discouraged now! I probably won't make all the rules of the challenge this week, but I'll get there in a couple of weeks or so.

                          Yesterday was hard, it was my sons 2nd birthday and I made a cake, served the cake and did not eat the cake..... I ate some frozen heavy cream whipped with cream cheese w/ splenda instead, was like ice cream. I prob shouldent have eatin it but i figured it was better than eating the cake.
