Re: CHORES & EXERCISE - Double Whammy Challenge (May)

the only slated for today was to get the cable, water, etc. taken care of for the new place. not bodily exercise but needed to be done. those things got taken care of.
i think we are going to try to get some boxed over to the new place tomorrow.

OK, tomorrow I swear I'm going to get something started. My son says he's coming home sooner than I expected from college. I had plans on using his bed as my dumping ground for the contents of my closet. Darn kids. When you need em they're no where to be found. I wonder if he'll mind sleeping on the couch for a few days?

Sounds like he either sleeps on the couch or your couch becomes your dumping ground! Gotta love them kids... all contrary to a fault...but what would we do without 'em?

Jimmie... first boxes in the new place is a foot in the door. Laying out the welcome mat for ya!

Hi all - sounds like there is a fair bit going on here.

This morning we went and ordered new beds for the kids rooms - and they will be delivered TODAY!!!! yikes

So while in the showroom I rang my son - just to say he was getting a new bed - by the time we got home 30 minutes later - he had brought his old double bed downstairs and got his sisters bed down as well!! - doesn't he understand he took my exercise away!! He had even vacuumed the rooms!!! - boy have I got my kids well trained!!

Ah well - I will help get the new ones back upstairs!

          Have a good day!

That's so amusing... your son taking away your exercise! Sounds like you'll have to cart those double beds back upstairs and then down again! (kidding!)
            Can we exchange sons please?

As for me... well I took the weekend off the garage, but still kept at workouts and dog walks. Also did a massive paperwork sort out, so now all the bills are in the right place... boring, boring boring!

Hi Sally - yeuch paperwork - I hate that!

It will prob do you good to have a break from the garage - and give you more enthuisiasm when you go back to it.

Beds all in place and furniture all returned to the correct rooms - only taken 5 hrs!! - just washing my sons bedroom walls down. Got to get a new curtain tracl for him tomorrow as I managed to break his! Hubby has had enough of it all and has retired to his chair with his HUGE bar of Galaxy

ah well - back to the walls have a roast chicken salad to look forward to!

i just keep picking up tidbits here and there when i see it's something i won't be useing or needing. i don't really have a time frame for what i need to get done each day now. i'm at the mercy of getting this tile work done, when we can have access to the house to get things in.

everybody seems to be getting so much done!

Ouch just typed a huge reply and it didn't appear!

anyhow, Jimmie - you are gong to be the busiest person on the board as soon as you get into your new place! - so be gratefull for the easier time now!

I finished the bedrooms, washed the windows as well, then we had dinner - I actually made my own caesar dressing - very low carb - a glug of this a glug of that - very nice but will prob never be able to reproduce it, LOL

Then after dinner spent 2 hrs polishing my new car = car shiny - me shattered.
Reward - decaf coffee with extra thick cream mmmmm

work tomorrow - Bank holiday in the UK, so have Tuesday off instead to do the ironing - worst bore oops CHORE ever!!
Hubby and I also have to go to the bank - someone has kindly cloned his debit card and is having a bit of fun in South Africa at our expense!!

Right will try to post this again!

Re: CHORES & EXERCISE - Double Whammy Challenge (May)

                      Hi all,
Sorry to hear about the debit card anj.

My challenge to get my garden organised has taken on a whole new meaning and it's all my fault!
I decided to invite friends and family round for a bbq/party at the beginning of june. I don't know if I'm mad or what.
At the moment the weather is rubbish so there isn't much I can do out there so I'm going to concentrate on getting the indoor jobs done and when I see a glimmer of sunshine I'll drop my paintbrush and rush outside madly waving a trowel! (then I'll go back indoors and wash the paint off the carpet! lol)
                      Good luck to everyone.
                      Bex

Jimmie... never fear, your time will come (poor lass!).

Anj... I think you need to go to work to have a rest! Sorry to hear about the debit card cloning; what a bummer!
Solenne... I'm doing the voodoo "bring on the sunshine" dance for you.

                          Hi All
hey Solenne - we did that a few years ago and ended up with putting in a new fence and laying a patio!!

Have been to work - and for my exercise today I vacuumed the wholde shop! Then cam home and said I was going to vacuum the lounge and my lovely son said that If I made him a coffee with cream (like I have hee hee) then he would vacuum - how could I possibly refuse!! He has been a real treasure this weekend.

Now just sitting on my bum and looking forward to my rib eye steak tonight! yummy

Hope you are all not doing too much, Sally we finally got some sunshine - hope Solenne got some as well.

                          UK Bank Holiday today.

Well, the mulch pile arrived this past Saturday morning. Corner garden done, looks beautiful. The long street-side serpentine border is underway. The willow island still needs the edge cut before the mulch can go in. The garden center delivered six yards of mulch and I think half a yard washed off my kids Saturday night. They had the best time digging in it, and carving out seats, and excavating things they buried in it...I swear, kids don't need toys or video games, they just need regular feeding and a huge pile of dirt.

The basement...yeesh, lets not talk about the basement yet. I did go buy two sets of shelving tho, yay! Now I just need a stormy day to drive me out of the gardens and into the house.

Hey! We're all hoping for the weather we haven't got. Too funny! WindCriesMary wants storms and Solenne is hoping for sunshine.

Great work Anj and Windcriesmary! And I hear you WCM on kids and dirt. A pile of dirt is lovely and cheap and a whole lot better for them than videogames, isn't it! Washing the dirt off them counts as exercise too!

Today, in the garage I found a whole set of gardening tools... just after I went out and bought some!! With double tools, maybe fate is trying to tell me something.
Hmmmm...my excuse is that I can't sort out the garden properly until a new fence is installed (soon) so the dogs are away from lawn and flower beds and relegated to the back field. Gotta get a couple of goats for the back field (to cut down on huge grass cutting expenses - the field is terraced so complicated to cut), but am wondering if the dogs and goats will be able to live together.

hmm dogs and goats? you could try! afterall you get sheep and dogs together - so not a huge difference!

Two sets of gardening tools - so is there a 'Mr' to share the chores with!

sounds like Mary is going to have a garden fit for the Chelsea flower show!

Haven't done anything other than watch TV, sleep and cook dinner since I got back from work! I am sure everyone is entitled to an afternoon off! Still got that mountain of ironing for tomorrow to look forward to! - Might just get up very early and do it before the school run!
