    May I join? This is the perfect challenge as I was planning to start the 30 day shred on my own and was wondering what I would do for motivation! This is awesome! I want to commit to 30 times, but with no particular levels; my ultimate goal is to do way beyond 30 times, but I don't want to embarrass myself if I can't! I'm really hoping to actually make it through 30 days at a stretch and incorporate some Pilates in there.

    I'd like to start from the 16th (tomorrow) to March also!

    My first ever attempt at Atkins. I'm doin' it "old-skool"--by the book!--with my used 1999 copy of Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution.

      Hi there, yes I think that is fine - there is still time to get 30 days in with rest days, so I will forget the signup deadline. It is hard but it WORKS! It really does - I can see a difference in m midsection which I am sure is due to the Shred.

        So Liv is not a lunges fan, and who can blame her? What is your favourite and least favourite move from the Shred level ONE?

        I am not a fan of the darned side lunges with arms raise - ouchy! Hard to get the legs right and my arms just kill at that stage.

        Favourite is the chest fly (easy compared to the rest so I have heavier weights for that one) and all the abs! Love a good ab exercise!

          My favorite part is when the DVD workout is finished,

          then I shout out a few choice words to Jillian,

          turn off the TV,

          and plop down exhausted on my bed!!!

            Lol I know what mean. If we feel like this about level 1 I'm not so keen on level two, or three...argh! I tend to turn it off drink a load of water and then shakily stagger upstairs for a shower like I'm 90.

                LOL Yes that cool down in pretty good (but I cannot bend over to the side so it annoys me a bit - I am 10 times worse than Jillian) But cool down means it is almost over.
                I also think those chest flys are great and when the cardio is punches I breath a sigh of relief.
                I know what you mean about those side lunges. I am not sure I am doing those right but I am swaying back and forth in some fashion.

                  I did it yesterday -- going to do it again once I finish my tea, here. I took a big break this week. I didn't do anything M-Th. That wasn't my plan, but I was coming down with some sort of crud.

                  I have a hard time with the side lunges, and by the end, I have a really hard time with those bicycle crunches (probably didn't help that I started out by doing 100 situps first). I don't have the right sized weights for much of the arm stuff. I have some 2 lb. weights, and some 10 and 20 pound weights. I think I need 5 or 8 for a lot of it.

                    LOL.. that was so funny and yet true!

                    What I like about the video is the abs (until the bicycle and then I'm done!) What I least like is the jumping jacks... they kill me. The lunges are close, only because it burns!

                      Liv - swaying back and forth in some manner is the most she can expect from us at this point!

                      Goomama - 100 crunches before the shred! Hardcore!

                      LovingThyself - yep hate lunges, always have, they are just urgh, horrible, don't feel healthy to me! I don't mind jumping jacks but that's because we sometimes have to do 200 in kickboxing classes - my calves are always agony by the end, so these seem ok in comparison.

                      The jump rope is my worst cardio because I'm trying to compete with Natalie in her spring heeled boots. Punches are ok

                              I did it again yesterday... I did level 2. Fair warning -- it is very hard!! I'm going back to level 1 next time, but I think I might throw a level 2 in there for variety every now and then... it will get easier each time, right?!

                                I have a lot of catching up to do! I'm so sorry .... my job required me to move to Wisconsin for a few months and during the move I just haven't been setup to do any workouts. But I'm back and settled in and I'm ready to rock and roll, kick butt, and take names! I did my normal Turbo Jam this evening to get back into the routine. I will try not to ever go more than three consecutive days without working out again as it is surely a lot more painful that way. Tomorrow I will do my 30 day shred in the morning and my usual nightly 20 minute regime.

                                Looking forward to completing this challenge!!
