    WOOOHOOO no more Flu and I ran 8 miles today it took 1 hour 29 minutes but, I am pleased with that EXCELLENT WOOOOHOOO.

    Tomorrow it's a cool 6 miles working up to the 13 on Sunday

      Today is a running rest day Doesn't mean I'm resting Time for some killer weight lifting I want to wittle my waist so I'm doing more side bends and stuff oh ya baby.

          Oh for Sure I will. I just GOT my Gold Medal From the Presidential Challenge so I'm starting Over at Bronze I guess.

          I just finished weight training as well so I feel good sweat like crazy it's all good.

          Tomorrow is 4 miles followed by 13 miles WOOHOOO

            5 miles today I couldn't stop at 4 it was one of those days where you just feel like running for hours I am sure tomorrow is gunna be so great I got some new tunes on my MP3 player gotta run with tunes or ELESE. But I did great I ran slow I didn't wanna push it before my 13 miles tomorrow so today was nice and easy and feeling great WOOOHOOO.

              YUP I did it 13.1 today it took forever but, I am happy to say I DID it and that I have conqured half of my goal now lets go for the other half. It took me 2 hours and 40 but I didn't push I just went slow my body need to learn to deal with the lactic acid so I am training it to. I am not getting the muscle soreness like I used to which makes me happy THAK GOODNESS cause it's really a pain in the legs. Breathing was easy I talked on the phone while I ran so I know it was ok, and I wasn't pushing too hard LOL.

                sara why do you have lactic acid building up if you are low carbing you shouldn't have enough glucose for your run to make enough lactic acid to bother you. fatty acid burning doesn't make lactic acid as they never enter at the 3 carbon stage just the 2 carbon stage and all fat wastes are bundled out as ketones?? Have you upped your carbs to run?

                  NOPE I haven't I do have it though don't know why My legs burn like they are on fire the last bit of my run but, after resting for a few it goes away. Maybe it's not lactic acid build up. Oh, all knowing 2BIG what could it be. Is this somehting other then Lactic I don't know much about how the body works just how it feels.

                      for anybody reading this since Sara and i just exchanged PMs on the subject lactic acid builds up as a by product of the 3 carbon anaerobic breckdown of glucose.

                      Fatty acids enter the carbohydrate cyccle at the 2 carbon site of the carbogydrate cycle having already undergon oxidation to reduce them down from big huge hydrocarbon moleculesa and produce eenergy so you can't get lactic acid build up from fatty acid metabolism. there are lots of things it could be since it comes at the end of your run one would assume it is a build up of something or the absence of something caused by your total exhertion and not a constant missing something.

                      It could be you are building up H+ ions in the electron transport chain cause you don't have a terminal O2 for them to make water out of for transportation out of your mitochondrias. Easy cure is get more O2 in. yep easy but in reality it is easier said then done.

                      You could have a build up of free radicals from the workout too.

                      it could be an ion imbalance from other ions that are excreted from your muscles during exercise that help tell the body to make more fuel for them.

                      it could also be your tissues sweeling up and putting pressure on your nerves as the blood flow slows when you stop but you would notice your legs being swollen.

                      it is highly unlikely it is micro tears as they would not stop hurting after you stopped working not.

                        Ran 7 or a little over took 80 minutes I am happy with that I was in the Zone YA WOOHOO gotta love that. This week is gunna be a lot of miles around 39 miles this week nex week it's 40 then drops to 20 for a week LOL. as I go up on my long runs I have break weeks it's perfect can't wait to get up there really good..

                            9 miles today I am up to 29 miles for the week and it's only wednesday today was a 2 hour workout day I am insain but, man I run like the wind WOOHOO.

                                Oh it's only about 5MPH a littel better MY treadmill is totally off so I'm not sure how fast I go on there LOL. I go to the gym and it's about 5.3 and at home it's like 4.3 I run about 12 minutre miles when I go slow but, wehn I speed it up I can do a 10:30 minute mile really pushing it ROFL. I hate that my treadmill is sooo off I ahve to use my pedometer which I calibrated when I was outside to be within 0.01 per KM. Pretty close.
