Re: The Goalie's Challenge Exercise Thread

Yep Jimmie... my weight has been it's usual; i.e. fluctuating up and down around 56.5 kgs (124.5 pounds) like a yo-yo. I'm eating a wee bit more than usual 'cos it sooooooo cold here in Italy right now with temps going down to minus 6 celsius (21° F). Means the extra minutes exercise are keeping me stable. Yippee!

Love the sound of the ball workouts. Looks like fun!

2big thinks they are fun! we laughed more just watching me try to balance! lol

same here on the weight. i was 122 this moring, 124 yesterday, i think. i consider myself at goal even though 120 was the target. i feel good and clothes are a 4 and a small in tops. that's all okay.

I can call them about it but remember they turned me down when I ask for a column showing just the points toward the medals earned so there would be no more confusion by by those doing more them 750 points worth a day getting excess points in their totals and reaching 20,000 weeks before they got to 20,00 medal points. I tellyou it is an admin night mare figuring out weho got what medal each week. Glad Barbde has already posted her silver so I don't got to figure that out.

Re: The Goalie's Challenge Exercise Thread

I'm back! Had a busy work week last week, had to travel into an office all week , so I ended having to do all my work at night..didn't have much play time. I have been good with my exercise, keeping up with my pilates, sitting on my ball when I can, and long walks with the dog. we had great weather for it...was almost up to 50 last week.

But the Canadian weather is back..supposed to be -15c tonight (2 f) so I do'nt think the dog walk will be more than around the block LOL.

tomorrow I'm going to go back to the community gym, it's a small gym, but they have all the machines, and treadmills, and it's pay as you go ($15/month no contract). I also just bought myself a new MP3 player to get me motivated! .

Yeah. I used to do the following:

Mon/Wed/Fri: Walk for 10 minutes (warmup), lift, walk for 10 minutes (cool down)

              Tues/Thurs/Sat: Run for 30 minutes

So now that I only work out 3-4 days per week, I'm trying to do run for 10 minutes as a warmup, then lift, then do a little cool down. So I still get some more cardio than usual in. Then if I'm feelin frisky I run for 30 minutes another day of the week....like yesterday.

Re: The Goalie's Challenge Exercise Thread

hey guys! good to see an update, sadiejen. i was wondering about you.

jack and i put away all the tables and chairs (294 chairs, 42 tables) by ourselves today. where was all the help? i sure don't know. we love 24 and the premier of that was tonight so i biked during the last half hour. i am doing well with things. i am glad i have you guys hanging in there with me.
                ----------
sadie, that sounds like the "y" here. the pay as you go. i know, when we lived in ohio, we did the same thing. paid $10 a month for the family plan. we could go whenever we wanted. the kids would go to the pool and jack and i would play raquetball. i don't know if the "y"'s are still like that now or not.

Glad to hear you're doing well with things. And wow! Putting all those chairs and tables away sounds like a real workout in itself!

As for me... yesterday was Sunday so I skipped the workout, but doubled the dog walk time. My dogs don't understand about Sundays and resting! Lol!

This Monday morning got back to the straight and narrow and did my stuff as per usual.

                        Today:

30 minutes weights, 20 minutes winsor pilates, 20 minute walk iwth the dog - still freezing here..warmer temps are supposed to be coming. Well by warmer i mean high 30's low 40's. Way better than it's been though!

Hoping to get a run in tomorrow. Mondays were never a good running day for me for some reason.
