Hanging in there, but only just. In total I missed three exercise workouts while really sick. Still not totally better, but have managed to get through the stuff these last two days. Shakily though! No extras or frills either. Roll on tomorrow!

good deal on your knees, 2big. my ache when i do some of the yoga/pilates stuff. lunges are pretty much a no-no.

good to see you trying, sally! being sick just wrecks the exercise. glad you are on the mend.

Great that your knees are getting stronger 2big! Knees can be really dicey at times...

Tks Jimmie... definitely on the mend now, but this bout was a real nasty. Just not used to getting sick!!

Re: The Goalie's Challenge Exercise Thread

i was like that almost a year ago now, sally. i never get sick and the floor in the gym was going to be torn up so the meals were off for the whole month of march. i thought whoo hoo! i get a vacation! but alas i got sick and was stayed sick the whole month! oh boy what fun! NOT!

i actually did a 15 minute bike session this morning before going off to the building. i forgot to reset the counters so i don't know exactly what the miles were or the calories. but, i do know i went for 15 minutes. was glad to get that in today. i never do very well when i am not in the challenges. i didn't want to join this time because i would be moving and i'd be off the computer. i just didn't think i could be effective this go round.

Re: The Goalie's Challenge Exercise Thread

2big, yes i know about the library computers! it was so cool, that is how i checked in in s.c whiel we were on our road trip! we were at my sisters for a couple of days and we went to her library and got a 30 no cost card so we could use the computer. i had to get some stuff logged so i could continue on towards that stats award. it would look too good for a mod of the place and a poster not to get the very first one. i had to set an example, you know! i don't plan on being without the computer but for a few days. it will take us 2 in traveling time and you can rest assured, the computer will be hooked up pronto! my sister will be living just 2 miles down the road so i'll at least be able to check in and tell everyone we arrived safely. stilll no time frame on this move, by the end of the month, i hope sooner.

as far as the exercise goes..... every time we stop at the rest areas i get out and walk the sidewalks at a fair pace. i bend and stretch side to side, touch my toes and all sorts of things. it might not be much but it is something!

instead of calling you 2big (you ain't no more) i am gonna call you justright. lol

hey jimmie I lknow it looks funny but do some standing push ups leaning on the car for some upper body workouts too. You can pretend you are eyeballing the fluids and engine if you pop the hood.

Here I am! Been swamped with work this week, and out of town at the office for two days so i'm a bit behind. I'm so exhausted this week i actually thought i posted in here yesterday, LOL.

I did awesome this week, didn't do many weights, but I've started runninng outside again and it feels great. I ran monday, tues, thurs (two 15-20 min runs each day). took a break today. I forgot how good i feel when i'm running regularily. It took alot of self discipline for me to get out too, I've been oncall all week and have been paged non stop every night..so i'm going on very little sleep. But after my runs i feel so much more awake and energetic...jeez i was even out at 6 a.m. one day!

It's been very very mild here..so it's been perfect for running, but we're expectin a storm this weekend. I figure i'll get my run in tomorrow, then sunday's exercise will be shovelling .

How far is the marathon 2big? a full one?

Do you do the BFL hiit program ? I think i need something like that..to give my metabolism a boost every once in a while..i've heard your body gets accustomed to exercise if you do the same thing over and over.

I'm out of my down finally, and feeling much better. Back on track and doing the routines the way they should be done. Haven't skipped any. Dogs are ecstatic!

2big and Sadie... sounds like you two are on the up too. Fantastic!

What's an hiit program, btw? Dumb European here...
