    getting back in the groove, guys. so glad you are here!

    i have been working out alot more than i was and my weight is showing it. a couple pounds up. i have been under a bunch of stress and really got some hormone issues going on. i think i can attibute the gain to all of the above. 4's still fit.

    i slacked off yesterday and didn't do anything. today i got 50 crunches in for the challenge plus did the ball and band for 30 minutes, biked for 10 and did the arm weights.

    hey, justright.....how's come they don't have ball and band workouts on the pres. challenge? they got mowing and walking and bowling and everything else. is there any way to get them to add that to the list of acceptable exercise? i think i asked that once before but i don't remember the answer.

      you can email them and suggest it maybe as admin of our big challenge I can get it let me try on Monday when I have to do some work there

            i'll see you down in the journals, man! how's it going with your exercise? you have been so busy with work and moving katie i didn't know if you would get anything done or not. i have upped my and along with that my weight has jumped up a couple of pounds. i need to measure so i feel good about all that. the pants and tops still fit so everything is good with that.

                  LOL! I've been keeping up with the exercise. I'm leaving in a bit to drive down there for the weekend.

                  Fortunately, she hired a mover as she got moving expenses form her job...so no heavy lifting required!

                      Up to date with everything. Seems everyone else is doing grand too. Grand!

                      Today am spending the afternoon cleaning up a flatlet we just restored, after the builders. It promises to be quite a hefty job. Wonder if that counts as exercise?

                          75 crunches
                          20 pushups using the balll
                          75 x 2 leg work (part with 11 pound weight)
                          75 x 2 arm work w/6.6 dumbells

                          i haven't done any pushups in awhile. doing them on the ball was much harder and i barely got in the second set of 10.

                            Thanks Jimmie! Yep... have been pretty active these days, and the challenges really help motivate, which is great. Never would have believed how much! Having said that though, took a day off exercise today ...woke up late had had household chores to do. Dogs got a good walk though.

                            How do you do push-ups with the ball? I'm pretty clueless about 'equipment' and really don't use any, but sooner or later will need to add variety. Your exercising with weights sounds cool too.

                              YKES I have come down with the flu even though I got my flu shot grrrrrrrrr. seems their is a resistant variety running round East Tn and it got me lasat night. glad today is a day off cause my nose is a faucet and I feel terrible

                              ball push ups depends on your upper body strenght. if you are strong you ballance your fett on the ball and your hands on the floor. if you are very weak you balance your mid tummy on the ball and hands on the floor. As you get stronger you can slide thurther back toward your feet until you have jsut your toes on the ball. Some fellow in the ball exercise pics we had posted last yr actually has his ball on a table and is doing almost hand stand pushups.

                                As for those ball push-ups...wow! They sound like exercise and a half!! But now, am curious to try.... lol
