Weekends are not about "should be" Hope you finished your days up well.

I went SUPER overboard on food last night. We had some great friends over for BBQ. With 2 babies, it took forever to get organized to actually cook LOL. We had two veggie lovers and two veggie haters. So, the other veggie lover and I had all the roasted veggies for ourselves, peppers, onions, zucchini, mushrooms, and tomatos drizzled with greek dressing (homemade, no sugar), skewered and grilled. Also burgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, buns and chips. I stayed totally true to plan, but I ate ALL night, becuase we just couldn't get it figured out to get it all to cook together LOL. It was super fun. And super good. Also a low carb no bake cheesecake with spiced peaches and coffee when it got dark. So fun.

Anyway, exercise yesterday also included my squat/lunge/pop routine. And today my arms and shoulders have gotten a workout scrubbing the greek dressing off the grill Hope you all have a great day!

    Hugs
    Denise

thanks Jimmie Jo see now I can just say click my icon when i tell the new goalies about this topic.

Today is my day off and in 5 min when Gunsmoke goes of I'm going to be watching WCS and cheering for a great action game I hope Since I rooted both teams there I can't pick one over the other. After the sun moves so I don't burn I will be doing yardwork this afternoon. Mom has finally decided she don't know what is what and will allow somwbody to remove the non native plants from her wilderness garden. Anybody want to come help? lots of free exercise and we only got nonpoisonous snakes in there now.

Hi everyone! Back from vacation, I was up at the cabin for 10 days....I kept up with my running, 30 mins a day but only until last monday, then my knee started acting up so I decided to take the rest of the week off. Did lots of swimming etc though. And I was fairly good with my eating, I did have low carb bread every day (for the convience factor, sandwich lunches are just nice and easy)which i normally don't do...and my carbs were probably much higher than normal, but I think I did pretty good.

Back to the gym tomorrow I think, And my knee is feeling better so if i'm not too tired i'll be running tomorrow.

....I'm guessing I'm not going to be getting much sleep tonight, Italy has won the world cup and the Itialian community is out celebrating...All i can hear are horns and yelling etc (i live in a fairly itialian neigh bourhood). they've actually got the main road down the street closed right off.

You guys I forgot the best part!!! Using the Navy's method, I also went from 24% bf to 22% with those lost inches!!! In a week. I'm sure it's fudged and rounded and all, but I've been consistently using their method, so it's still progress. I was so happy!

Sunday was lunge/squat/pop routine and BED. I hope to get some cardio back tonight.

Welcome back Sadie... glad you had a good time at your cabin! As for the World Cup... words can't describe the partying going on over here (Italy)!!! Don't think there's a fountain left in the country that hasn't had crowds splashing and cavorting with joy! Fireworks, horn hooting, singing, drinking and eating.... it goes on and on! Even I got caught up in the collective madness on the evening of the final! The Azzurri did good!

Glad to see everyone's on track and Denise is shrinking!
2big... got my fingers crossed for your thyroid bloodwork.

On track with doggie walking and exercise routine. Taking a day off tomorrow though as will be away.

                    Ciao ciao!

Must be a busy week. Lunge/squat/pop at work yesterday, didn't make the walk w/the gimpy coworker.

Hope to get back to cardio at least 2x this week!

Stupid scale. Cleaning lady moved it to the other side of the bathroom, and I stepped on it over there 3x and saw 134.5. Moved it back to it's real spot and saw 136.5 3x. Hilarious. Was 138 in it's real spot yesterday, so def still a loss, not that I really care, it's just funny how picky they are

                      Have a great day all!

good to see you keeping on track!

yes, busy indeed! i did so much yesterday that i am terrible sore today. i won't bore you with details since it's in my two journals. i am on track though.

you know the scale is just an invention by some half brain wit that wants to toy with our minds. lol
i put mine in the same spot each time. if it does get moved, no matter what it says, it doesn't count unless it's in the right spot. me and my scale have a ritual we do. lol

hey denise. you jogged! did sadie motivate you to do some jogging?

my knees just can't take those deep lunges. barbiebabe says everyone complains about them. i don't know if i will ever get to the point of being able to do deep lunges.

kudos to you for keeping up with your exercise!

i don't know what today holds. maybe the start it up. i am being encouraged to go to the next level so perhaps i will take a look at the that today. flights were yesterday. i will probably get some more biking in and add a few more push ups to my total.

I've been fairly good this week, skipped the gym on Monday was still recovering, but ran 2 runs on tues one 10 mins, one 15 (didn't have time for one long one), didn't run yesterday, it poured and poured all day, but was at the gym both days and will be today, i'll also run a full run today...I'll have to update my stair climb totals.

It's interesting, TOM arrived today and caught me off guard. for some reason i'm NOT bloated for the first time in ages, i wasn't cranky either. weird.

Denise, You could have never convinced me 2 yrs ago that one day I would be running 30 mins! It's still not my favourite exercise, but i do enjoy it in a way and the benefits are amazing. I went from only being able to run 2 mins, to being able to run 30 by doing the Couch to 5k program on www.coolrunning.com It's a great program and will only take you about 6-8 weeks to get up to running 5k! I'm not kidding. If i can do it, without ever having run in my life - even in school i used to fake sprained ankles etc in gym to get out of it LOL - Anyone can! You should try it. you might be surprised.

My biggest incentive to run is it seems to be the one thing that really keeps my weigh down, gets rid of my cellulite and the only thing that seems to help flatten my stomach.

Thanks Sadie for the suggestion, I'll take a look at that.
