2big! What a terrible thing to hear! And ugh on the feeding her all that poison. 2 tigers is a heavy burden. My heart goes out to you, more than ever after this weekend with MIL. You are remarkable.

had to do some catching on this page.

denise, it's good that you feel better. it seems athat when you have little ones the colds just keep circulating. hope this finds your household better.

2big, i know you will cherish these months with your mom. you'll do fantastic as far as the eating goes. so many depend on you to one of the major rocks around here and i know you would never let us down.... and more importantly, i know you would never let yourself get into a bind as far as food goes.

i am on quick reply so i can't see how sal and sadie jen are doing. i assume very well.

i did alot of stuff today,
      mowed and edged the walk
      ball push ups and crunches
      flights and bike
leg lifts and arm work w/weights

i'll be done with the climb i am on in 2 days i think. i think jack will be done climbing his last virtual building by days end.

Sadie isn't that water awful cold to play in or do you just get feet wet not whole body wet?
Actually 2big the waters not bad...it's in the 70's anyway..a little cool (especially on very hot days) but it's refreshing! I usually only go in to the tops of my legs..but i did go swimming a couple of times this year. Luckily most of our beaches have been open this summer..alot of times they get closed for ecoli .

I've been keeping up with my running..doing between 2 and 3 miles a day. last week was 4 days..this week so far 3..i'm aiming for at least 5! I'm thinking next week i may try to up my run to 35 or 40 mins.

Lunge/sqaut/pop today. MOre groceries, but at a leisurely pace. Off to laundry and dishes tonight I swear I burn more calories than many simple because I'm awake so much more than many

Sadie, you are doing super with your running goals. Have you ever had kids?

Jimmie, so good to see you pop in! I'm so proud you are sticking to your exercise and your active lifestyle!

Benji (baby) having a very difficult time of it, as he doesn't know he can blow his nose. But, the rotten thing sees a kleenex coming and SWIPES his hand across his face. Ugh. Nicky a bit better because he CAN blow out. And Dad appears to be on the mend already...but you wouldn't know it for the whining. Men are hilarious when sick

          TT you all tomorrow

          Hugs

Nope, I would have but my best friend (and first cousin) died suddenly 9 yrs ago at 31 yrs old. She was a single mom and left 3 children, 12, 9 and 6 months...my help in raising them put all my plans on hold, and changed my mind. I've also got a stepdaughter, I've been with my husband since she was 1 and I think of her as my own. Now...I feel like i've got more than enough children in my life!!! so my plans have changed (now the plan is early retirement for hubby in 8 yrs..and me hopefully in 15 )

I've noticed this week my back is really sore when I wake up..I'm really stiff..not sure if it's running related..or my bed. It's becoming frustrating. I may try adding yoga to my exercise routine to help.

did my gym today and Mother ius loving the pool with her sitter they are water buddies LOL nobody is using the gym pool which is sort of strange but hey they have it all to themselves for almost an hour and Mother is lap swimming the whole time which is very shocking since she has no stamina when we are out shopping or walking. Tehn hey play around in one lane and somebody swims laps in another lane. She doesn't like that warm up pool ( the jacuzi) she says so she will not us it which is fine by me.

2big that's awesome that your mom is loving the pool! And swimming is such great exercise and i'm sure very theraputical for her...

I did my 3 miles today, my pilates, and added in a few yoga streches. Haven't done a whole yoga dvd workout as i didn't have time..but am hoping even just the streches will help my stiff back.

Back. Been to Anzio for a couple of days to visit my MIL who is recovering from a broken femur (aged 8. Exercise went to pot of course but I did walk lots and swam lots too. Anzio isn't the most beautiful of places but it was wonderful to swim off a beach backed by roman ruins... and swim among the ruins in the water too, at 8.30 in the morning. Bliss.

Denise... so glad you're better. Sorry to hear the bug is doing the rounds of the family. Sending 'get better' vibes over the ocean to your place.

2big... how very sad for you to hear from your doctor about your mother's time left. You are so right to indulge her! I'm sure that doing this will give you the strength to fight the "carb temptation monster" when that indulging comes to pies and things. I do so hope you and she both get the most out of the time left. You have my empathy and kindest thoughts.

thanks Mother has no idea the end is coming as she is in her happy place and nobody is telling her just in case she could remember.

Did my HIIT this morning and boy was that rough. for some reason my head didn't enjoy it today I think it was the mowing again yesterday. Never fertilize in Aug with afternoon pop up thundershaowers casue they have hit our yard daily for the last 2 weeks, nothing like watering the lawn to make it grow,

Sally you gotr to swim in the ruins?? how cool was that did you have a mask and snorkel to get an underwater view of them?

MSNICKSMOM how are the "boys" doing? I hope the big one isn't giving you too much trouble

Hope that yoga helps your back too Sadie

Unfortunately not which was a shame... but it was cool anyway. There's a huge Roman villa there and the ruins just kind of dribble down the cliff to the beach, and then dribble into the water too. It gets crowded there, but not early in the morning.

Back on track with doggies' walk and exercise this morning.

I ran 3 miles yesterday and did pilates, took a rest day today..had a late night last nigh and wasn't up to running. My back has been a bit better, though I still want to pick up a new yoga dvd..one more for stretches..the one I have is faster paced, more for weight loss. anyone have an favourite yoga dvds?

I'm considering doing the Terry Fox Run (10k) on Sept 12th, even though I've never run that far before..i'm only running 5k a day right now. The good thing about it is it's not a race, it's from 9 - 12, and you can run/walk at your own pace. I'd like to attempt to run it though... but nice to know i'd have the option of walking if i need too.

2big do you have a manual mower? i used to have one at my last house, i just had small lawns..but boy what a workout that was! Now i have a husband that mows the lawn for me LOL

yep i have an old fashion push mower and boy does it give me a nice workout.

My legs were still telling ne about it today.you know how just before they cramp you get a tighness well mine have been playing with me all day just when I think I;ve got all the chems balanced and everything will be fine that thight hardness happens and I know if I move I will be in extreme pain. I hate that!

I did my HIIT earlier and am paying for it.

Sadie the terry Fox would be so much fun for you to be able to finsih it. Are you getting sponsors or do you pay a big entry fee for the charity?

Hey Jimmie jo where are you on the climbing?
