Oh dear girl, don't run in there with a tampax ...VERY VERY bad when pregnant. It can cause mega problems with your cervix. Those pains are caused from the uterus softening and stretching, and are very normal. Next will come the ligament stretches that hurt like he**. If you do start bleeding, I would use a pad if you have one, but its not likely. Just getting bigger and ready for baby.]I'm sorry you've been sick! I had it worse with this baby than my first, but only actually threw up once. Very glad of that!

Hey Mari and Emma, so excited for both of you!

Emma have you tried any Ginger for the nausea? Used to drink Ginger herbal tea and it helped quite a bit. Hope the nausea stuff passes quickly for you. Two friends of mine also tried wearing those seasick bands on their wrists, worked for 1, not for the other.

Marion are you going to find out with your ultrasound if it's a boy or girl or wait and be surprised? Should we think pink or blue?? <grin>

          Wishing you both the best!

            Hi Cinders and Katlam!
Cinders...hang in there, hon! You'll be feeling better in a few weeks! Do you have a doctor yet? They have a prescription for morning sickness that I guess works really great. I felt queasy and sick every day until about my 10th week, but never threw up, except for once when I had to clean a dog's mess up off the carpet!

Katlam...I'm pretty sure I'll find out the sex in a later u/s if I get one. I'm thinking pink, but that doesn't mean a whole lot! Thanks for poppin' in and saying hi! I don't get over to the ol' CC much anymore.

Feeling lots of little bumps today! Its such a wonderful feeling!

Re: Preggo, On Atkins, and LONELY IN HERE

Some bad news from me guys,

i was at my docs this mornin mainly to get any supplements i needed from him and i was explaining about the pain i'd been in on one side of my abdomen, he sent me up to the hospital where i was told that my pregnancy was tubal... ectopic(sp?) or somethin? something about the baby being in my tube and not where it should be? im not up on this, i obviously wasnt trying to get pregnant so im pretty confused at the moment, upset too, im actually not sure what im feelin..

anyway i had a vaginal untrasound to ensure what my doc was saying was correct n then i was given some methotrexate i think it was called, i was too shocked to take anything in, today has been my best day with regards to sickness n pain n this happens

Anyway im goin to bed, i need some sleep before i break the news to Mike, hes working away this week and i dont feel right telling him on the phone, though nothing was planned he was very excited when he found out, so i dont know how im gonna do with all this

im so glad id chose not to tell anyone other than mike and adbb - i dont know how id go about telling people, its hard enough typing this.

Emma HUGS honey I was so afraid that it was ectopic when you talked about the pain. I'm glad the DR is taking care of you. I'm so sorry it turned out this way. Ectopic PG's are so dangerous I was really worried about you. You just take the time you need to heal yourself.

Oh Cinders, I'm SO sorry! I was so afraid of that myself the first 8 weeks. But I know many women have had it, and gone on to have healthy pregnancies. There are no words I can say really, but that I hope everything turns out for the best, and that you and Mike both find the healing you need! Sending you lots of hugs!

Cinders-sorry about the ectopic pregnancy. Even if you weren't trying, this wasn't planned it is always sad to lose a pregnancy. It is good that they were able to "catch it" so early. Sometimes if the pregnancy continues too long your tube will rupture!

Re: Preggo, On Atkins, and LONELY IN HERE

Update: Had some serious fears. I was experiencing rapid eratic heart racing, left arm numbness, shoulder pain in my left shoulder, and at one point all the way down to my toes on that side, and extreme shortness of breath along with fatigue. I was so afraid maybe my heart wasn't withstanding the pregnancy, so I went to my doc, who was confused by the symptoms. He said it sounded like I could have a pinched nerve, and to go to a chiropractor, and he would get me a 24 hour heart holter just in case. Well, I haven't heard back from the doctor, but I've seen a chiropractor twice. He's done two adjustments, and there is a world of differance. Headaches are gone, I can breathe normal, my arm is completely pain free/ numb free...in short, all symptoms gone! This guy is a gem! He told me I could come back once every two weeks throughout the pregnancy to keep myself aligned, and that if I'm granted a natural birth, he could make that easier with some adjustments. So...we shall see. I still have my secret birth plan of waiting to go into labor, and then getting as far as I can before calling and telling doc I'm in labor to avoid that "mandatory" repeat c-section.

Baby has been kicking alot the last two days! My husband and I were watching tv in bed, and he had his knee resting against my stomach, when baby litterally kicked him off! I've never heard of a baby so little kicking so hard, but DH moved with a jump, and said "look at this! This baby is yelling at me already!" I'm only 17 weeks tomorrow, and most women don't even feel the baby lightly until 18 to 20 weeks. Makes me wonder if this baby is going to be ornry.

Update: Just got back from my 2nd prenatal, and I measured 21 weeks, which is three weeks further than where I should be. So, another u/s will be scheduled, but he wants to wait a few weeks. We'll see what happens.

Can it be possible that you are further on than you think?

Thanks guys for your thoughts, im not doing too bad, its made my relationship kinda rocky though, but if it cant withstand this then its not meant to be so we'll see on that one.

Maribelle-this isn't your first pregnancy, is it? With my last two children I always measured ahead! The ultrasounds you receive in the first ten weeks of pregnancy are better indicators of how pregnant you are. Do not worry!

                                Hi Cinders and Maggie!

Glad to hear you're doing ok, Cinders. I'm sorry to hear its put strain on your relationship though. Hope things turn out ok!

Maggie, this is my second pregnancy, and in my first I was always right on. I wouldn't be surprised to find out I'm further ahead then we thought. My bigger concern was the fact that my doctor doesn't think I'll make it past 36 weeks. I'm hoping he's just being pessimistic. He feels that there is no doubt I will have blood pressure problems again, and I don't think so. PIHT and preeclampsia supposedly are very common in first pregnancies. Just one day at a time I guess.
