Still on track with my supplements!

My mom always put vitamin E oil on her face at night. Either she'd buy a small bottle of it, or just break open capsules. She had (and still has) GREAT skin, and looks MUCH MUCH younger than her 60 years! People think she's 20 years younger than she really is (which is great, because my dad looks 20 years older than he really is. )

Re: ADBB Vitamin Club Conversation Thread

i'm convinced that i need to have jack use these capsules, or some kind of oil on his hands and feet. you know, when he was born, his mom said he looked all dried up like an old man. he didn't have that newborn soft skin. she said everytime he bent his little fingers they would bleed. nothing's changed, he's still got terribly dry skin. maybe nothing will help him much but we'll keep on trying!

i haven't posted in here much for a few days but i am on track and have taken my supplements every day. we're out of the omega 3 tabs so i'll be picking up some flaxoil capsule tomorrow.

bio i guess i missed this over the past couple of days. i would say "no problem" with taken the week off. we have those 3 great threads on the B's and i think we can still chew on those for a bit.
                as for requests:
how about something on glucosamin/chondoritin. sadie has been telling me about her usage and what might help jack so maybe something on that?
with all the talk about primrose oil that i've seen, maybe we could use a write up about that, too.

anything specific for us menapausal gals or ageing men.

                  Thanks for the guidance, Jimmie!

So, the week after next will be glucosamine/chondroitin; then evening primrose oil; and after that, issues for the slightly aging folks.

I'll ask for the next set of requests during evening primrose oil week.

Big Glucosamine/Chondroitin fan here!! Looking forward to that one, though i did do a bit of research on it. My knee problems are pretty much gone since i started takeing it.

I am going to take your advice when i am finished my omega 3-6-9's and maybe take omega 3's instead. jeez this is all so confusing! LOL. I haven't had much time on here to read up on the nutrient of the week threads, i better get readin this weekend!

                          You're in luck Emma: http://www.mypharmacy.co.uk/alternat...lucosamine.htm

From what i've read there are no long term effects from it. you can take it for years and it's highly recommended for arthritis.

I can't say enough good things about it. I was quite skeptical, but one of my husbands coworkers that has back issues recommended it. I'm glad she did.

Emma, sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with RA. I have PA (psoriatic arthritis), so I understand about the joint pain. If you haven't started taking glucosamine/chondroitin, please start....it really does help! Hang in there!

Jen, I might have to give you a quiz or something over the threads! LOL Get crackin' on that reading.

                            Still taking my supplements!!

I like the sound of something for the "slightly aged"!!

On track with vits except for omega 3s. Only taking two caps of those today, as I'll run out before the chemist opens... so spreading them out. Bad planning and missed opening hours!
