Ugh, I decided to take mine before I went to dinner with the girls last night. I was on an empty stomach and by the time I got to the restaurant, I thought I was gonna throw up!!! I survived and won't do that again.

most of the green tea extract pills show "natural caffine" as an ingredient. is this to be concerned with?

i got mine vitamins in and i remembered to give jack his early. everything's on track with us. i've found that i don't need the supplement for the hair, skin and nail. the B's seem to be taking care of those quite well.

good question. induction says "no caffeine" so i'm thinking maybe it's something to steer clear of, at least for the time being.
          on page 124,tip 10:
"Avoid coffee, tea and soft drinks that contain caffeine. Excessive caffeine has been shown to cause low blood sugar, which can make you crave sugar."

does this equate to supplements? my guess is yes. caffeine is caffeine. biogeek will address this further and i hope i've made the right call.

You made the right call, Jimmie.

Caffeine is caffeine, regardless of the source. Granted, different sources have different levels of caffeine such as coffee vs. tea vs. soda vs. chocolate, etc. But this is not the point. The good book says "no caffeine," which is quite clear. No means no, so the supplements with caffeine are not allowed during induction.

If you wish to add caffeine back into your life after induction, that is a personal choice. If you experience cravings, cut them out and continue on with the program.

I'm still on track! I'm getting better at swallowing all these supplements. I used to have to do one at a time, now I can handle 3 of these horsepills at once.

I'm not part of your club...but I've been taking my supplements faithfully for over two months now.

I use them to get my first 25 ounce bottle of water down. It has really helped me remember to take them. I'm going to drink the water because I'm soooooo thirsty in the morning, so I go get the water, go straight to the bathroom and start popping pills

His supplements are for cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and memory.

Don, when you're looking for a new supplement, please look for one without sugar and other unwanted & unnecessary fillers (starch, sugar, salt, etc). There are plenty on the market without them, but make sure you read the label.

Constipation is a common side effect from taking iron supplements. It's another good reason not to take it. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and that the carbs (veggies) you're choosing to eat are also high in fiber.
Thanks Again Biogeek! I did switch my vitamins to one that did not have iron it it. Went out and bought Centrum Silver. It looked like it had much of what I needed. I also noticed in looking at my Glucousamine that it actually had carbs in it. In fact the two that I had to take had two carbs in them. Not where I want to be spending my allowance! I changed them to Schiffs Glucousamine with MSM. After changing over, I was back to my regular self, so to speak!
