      Jimmie, am I gonna have to borrow someone's whip to get you to buy those B vitamins?

      Way to go on sharing the secrets to great skin & hair with your mom, Julie!

      Seems like most of us are on track with our supplements! Way to go!!!

        Ok...so I've taken my morning supplements and vitamins.

        Is there any list that someone could compile (bio perhaps ) stating what most of us should be taking on this WOE.

        Perhaps one already exists, if so could someone post a link on here to it.

        I know that some of us should take things and others take other things, but I'm looking for a general list that anyone participating in this WOE should take daily....besides a multivitamin without iron...that one I know.

          strudel, there is a list and i'll try to hunt that down for you.

          i did good this morning! both jack and i got our supplements in with breakfast. i got my B's yesterday so i'm happy about that. i've been feeling a bit listless the last couple days and i've been without those B's for about a week or so. i'm relating the missing B's to the lackluster feeling i've been having.

            I got the ginko~started yesterday and have got myself going. I can see where those pill organizer things come in handy!

            Sweet Strudel....pages 135 and 136 of The Book have some info on supplements.

                  Bio, got a question...Silly recommended I post it in the vitamin forum...

                  My menstrual cycle is way out of whack. For a couple months it was a week early, then for a couple months it was on time, then it was 4 days late, then it was on time, and this month it's late again. What's going on? Before Atkins, I was as regular as a timex. Only ONCE (before Atkins) in 12 years had my period ever been "off schedule".

                  Is there a logical explanation for this, and/or is there anything I can take to help me out?

                    Strudel, I'm still in the process of writing a "psuedo official-looking, but full of good info" thread about what to take. Jimmie's links should get you started.

                    Julie, there are many reasons for menstral cycles to get out of whack....from stress, medications, strenuous exercise, caffeine, alcohol, smoking, low(er) estrogen, high(er) estrogen, PCOS (Polycyctic Ovarian Syndrome), etc. As a friend, I can not recommend anything until you see a physician & get some tests done to see if there are some underlying physiological issues. Could be nothing, could be something. At the very least, they can check your hormone levels & see if that's out of order, especially since you were regular--Timex regular! Let us know what you decide to do.

                          Getting all mine in....is it possible to be feeling energized and better already? I've only been taking them since Saturday! I feel so good! Maybe it's just because I like the idea of taking better care of myself...I dunno.

                              Taken mine today!

                              Bio--one thing I've noticed is that my late menstrual periods fall after a time of increased exercise. And another thing I've noticed is that during these spurts in exercise, I'm not usually upping my calories that much to compensate for the extra activity. I started strength training more heavily about 2 weeks ago, and last week I did longer/more strenuous workout sessions each day. I'm going to wait a couple of more days and see if things get back to schedule, and in the mean time, I'm going to try to eat more fat and calories.

                                MG, yes it is possible to feel better & more energized already! Glad you're feeling some results!

                                Julie, I think you may have found the cause of your menstral issues. Your idea of upping the fat & calories seems like a good one for the days you increase your activities. Guess you'll just have to wait & see what happens on your next cycle. Good luck!
