Joy--I take 1 tablet a day, which is 500mg. The recommended dosage is 2 tablets, or 1000mg. But I only take one because they're so expensive. Honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference in the first 5 days or so, but after that, I noticed a huge boost. Perhaps I'd notice a bigger difference if I took 2 tablets per day? And I don't think it's a placebo effect or anything. This is the only thing I've changed in the time period that I started taking it, and I swear the inches have been flying off.

SG, you are spot on! 2000 IUs of Vitamin D is definately the upper limit. Taking a calcium with Vit D to supplement your vit d supplement is pretty darn smart

If you didn't want to take another vitamin D pill and can stomach cod liver oil.....each tablespoon has 1360 IUs of Vitamin D. But then, you have the cod liver oil taste...

Julie, I'm glad that the L-carnitine is working for you. You are the incredible shrinking woman!!!!

Bio if you disagree with this, please let me know!
Aha~very smart you are! I shall add Calcium with D to my list.

            Hi All

            I'm still taking my vits!

A question for you all - I was taking a supplement called Inner-Glow - it was for hair, skin and nails - but I have stopped taking it, and my hair seems to be falling out!! Do you think stopping the tablet would cause this??

At the moment here's what I take

            Flaxseed Oil
            Vitamin E
            Vitamin B complex
            Vitamin C
            Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSN
            mutlivits

            thanks

i am doubtful that you are nearly bald.
bio could address this better but i say "yes". if i remeber right, hair problems can date back about 3 months though, so something could have happened back months ago and you are just now seeing the effects. don't quote me on that though. the change might have been vitamins, your woe got weirded out big time, major stress and so on.
good news that the B vitamins (which you already take)and some bioting have helped me not only in regards to my hair but my overall mood. gotta love the B complex.

Hi Jane! What Jimmie said is correct....things that have happened to you a few months back can have an impact on your hair, skin, etc, today. There are other things that can cause a dramatic loss of hair, but that can only be checked out by a physician with blood work. Everyone loses a lot of hair everyday, but if you're losing it by the fist-fulls, then I would have it checked out. In the meantime, you may wish to resume taking the vitamin b complex to help out your hair.

I think I might make an appointment with the doctor! My hairdresser even commented on it last time she came around! she did say something about your hair falling out every 7 years!!! but im not convinced on that one!! lol

I don't know about that one either! LOL I did, however, lose a lot of my hair about 9 years ago or so. I would wake up and my pillow would be COVERED with my hair. Also, whenever I brushed my hair or just pulled my fingers through my hair, tons of hair would fall out. I would walk down the hall at work, and hair would be trailing after me. It was very scary! For me, it was caused by medication and unfortunately, not much has returned to it former fullness. Whatever is causing your tresses to be stressed, let's hope it passes!
