Hey guys, how are you all... Doing well here, but I'm still at the 9 lbs lost after 11 days. I'm wondering if I'm eating too much cheese *4 oz a day*, I'm thinking my bod's not liking that too much. Other than that I'm eating what I'm supposed to (maybe less than I'm supposed to actually). Where do you find out about the current correct challenges, I was looking at one, then continued to read and found out that thread was a year ago. And where is this Linda's recipes... sounds interesting, but I'm finding myself lost in some of the other threatds - interesting ones, but way too many lol... Have a great day all. Debi

LOL! I was just sitting here re-evaluating my food choices and I think I am eating too much cheese. too! It is easy to carry and "fills out" some foods. I guess trial and error is the best solution for each of us.

I am on day 9 and have lost the food craving- finally! When I smoked, I could use that to get through the bad parts...now I have no crutch and it IS different!

I am working every day- many of them 10 hour days and I have to carry my food to work (OH SURE-we HAVE the Wheel of Death! I can not even go NEAR it- at least they put pork rinds in the chip machine for later....). It is hard to find things for breaks...I usually take tea and have a cup- any great ideas? We have a cooler in the lunch room, but I hate leaving food in there...you never know about people.....

Anyway- Happy Sunday! It is a cool rainy one here- I fell UP the stairs at work yesterday and feel really sore today- only 8 hours to put in today and then back to 10's.

I don't have any at work break snack ideas... I don't get a break at work except for my 1 hour lunch hour... now if I smoked that would be different.. breaks galore. But that's ok,, I'm so busy I don't notice the time until it's12,,, and I take lunch from 1-2.. the rest of the day 2-5 just flys too.

PORK RINDS.. I'm so disappointed... the only store in the whole city has just discontinued selling them, so I can't get them at all.. darn it.

lol that was funny about falling up the stairs... I'm sorry you hurt yourself though. I hope you didn't have an audience. I fell up the stairs once in Court... and yes, I had an audience that just howled.. I couldn't help it, I had to laugh too, almost peed myself. Unfortunately I have a wicked sense of humour and I just lost it.... Glad it was in another city though so no one here remembers it, lol. Having a wonderful sundsy.

I know...there are the food thieves or maybe worse, those who just poke around looking at your food to see what you have. I think that's worse because you don't know someone's been touching your food. Ewww.

Can you stash one of those soft cooler lunch bags at your work station? That would give you more options for snacks.

Thanks for the suggestions! I am doing okay- decided to cut out the excess cheese (and it was!)- I think I feel better! I am one of those who can not have alot of options in weight loss- the more I add, the more I add!!!

Day 11 of Induction and down 6.5 pounds after a stall of 4 days-I'm blaming the cheese and stress! Too much work- I need a day off and none in sight til next Saturday- these weeks with no days off are hard on us old people! I plan to stay on Induction for another few weeks- I like it! It gives me a sense of control when I was WAY out of control all summer-

Hi everyone --- After a couple weeks of gaining (out of control eating) I managed to get 2 pounds off again...YEA . I had a good talking to myself the other night and decided it was harder to loose but if I don't I loose anyway because each additional pound I carry around is a shorter life.

Mom has been sick again since Friday afternoon. We were out most of the day and had a great day.....about a half hour after we got home she went to lay down and when she got up she was sick. She does this about 1 week of each month.....4 to 5 days of being in bed, not able to eat much and looses strength and weight.....of course the doctors don't say much except "at her age......" - I know she's not 25 but "at her age" she should have good care from them. Oh well, 1 less person for them to worry about. I do my best when she's sick and just hope she can continue to keep going and not give up one of these times.

Hope everyone is having a great week.....so far (I know it's only Monday) it's going great here!!! Tomorrow is another day to get things right!

Just a quick check in- got home at almost 3 AM from work and some fool was knocking at my door and woke me up early this morning- no one I know...thank goodness! GRRR.... So I need more sleep and I have to go to work for 10 more hours today-Being tired is NOT good for controlling your food urges! Drinking lots of water-

My weight has stuck- should have a nice drop in a day or so- that is my normal ebb and flow with this- Have not done my regular exercise routine, but I will get back to it as soon as the month ends (work is crazy at month end).

                  Hang in there Kids!!

You are in good company Lisa -- we're all in the same boat here and will help you get to your goal as we're trying to do the same thing. Don't compare what you did last time - what is important is today and the days forward.

                      Good luck to you!

Just stopped in to say "hi", thought I had posted in this thread before, but couldn't find it...so Hello to all.

I turned 50 in June, threw myself a big party! Took over a week to recover, but it was worth it! I don't feel 50, and not sure I look it, but it doesn't bother me much either. I just want to be a healthy 50 year old!

I've lost 20 lbs on ANA and the last 10 while a part of this site. I appreciate all the support and knowlege and plan to be here for a long time!

You look great Sally - I'm so excited to be doing this, for me and my husband. We really enjoy eating this way and are both feeling so much better, about ourselves and about each other. I have seen your posts thru-out the forum and am impressed with your knowlege. I'm glad I found this forum. Thanks.

Yep... this is a good forum. Lots of encouragement and inspiration to be found.
It's very cool that you have your husband to share the journey with. Really helps to have support. Makes it easier practically too, not having to prepare special foods for one person.

Thanks Carol for that comment on today and forward- I do the same thing- look at what I did and then screwed it up-

Life is different for me now- I am in/past menopause now and quit smoking, so my body is reacting in a WHOLE different way than it did 5 years ago!

This is funny- you know how you look and look to see where you are losing weight? I just wonder if an actual study has ever been done....My hands, wrists, feel and ankles are thinner....maybe from the extremities inward? Keeping the central fat to protect the organs? HMMM....

Doing well- this is my 14th day on Induction and I am down 8.5 pounds HARD FOUGHT!
