    Can't wait!
Soooo, what's the verdict. I am rather so-so on spaghetti squash, it doesn't taste anything like pasta but it's really pretty good loaded with butter.

It was good - I will definitely try again. I cooked it 14 minutes total in the microwave, and it was still a little crunchy. I just put it back in, and added butter. Will try a little more.

It's just such a fun veggie - I've been looking up lots of recipes. I think I may try to grow it in the garden this year.

I steamed it a little more and added butter...much better flavor. Definitely something I will try again.

Carole, I'm glad to hear that you are up and about a little bit but don't overdo it; give yourself time to recoup.

barrnone, the spaghetti squash and meatballs sound delicious! I was thinking of spaghetti and meatballs as a possible meal for my usual Sunday crowd and was wondering what I would make for myself and that fits the bill! Thanks for the suggestion.

I lost 2 and a half pounds this week because I started eating hot dogs again. I had sworn them off for several weeks and was slowing gaining but not anymore. I don't know why I have to have that darn salt because I know it's not good for me but I'm addicted. When I don't get it, I eat too much other stuff trying to feel satisfied.

Today we are going out to buy a farm tractor because our little lawn tractors just don't cut it anymore. We mow 15 acres and it just takes too long with the regular mowers. The new one will cut the time in half.

                Hi, where is everybody?

It's been nice here for a change. Temperatures have been in the 40's and it feels so good to be outside.

I made spaghetti squash for dinner yesterday and really enjoyed it with the meatballs and sauce. Tonight I had a hamburger with stewed tomatoes. Tomorrow I think I might make cauliflower and leeks again because I really like them but haven't had them in a while.

How's everyone else doing these days?

When I make spaghetti squash I put my homemade spaghetti sauce on top. If I don't have it that way I make it in the microwave and add butter & dill ... it tastes completely different that way. I've also had sour cream and dill mixed together and put on top...or just with butter like y'all.

4 years ago tonight I was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital waiting for my next 15 minute visiting time .... the hubs had had triple bypass at 3:00 a.m. and was in a coma which lasted 5 days....his birthday is Tuesday so we are going out to dinner to celebrate his 53 birthday and his 4th year since the bypass.

I don't know where everyone has been....I've been trying to come to the site as often as I can but I don't spend hours here like I use to....I need to get my head back on and really start getting serious about my health and weight again. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok - it's time for bed...take care everyone.

                    Hi Carole!

I don't know what happened to everyone in this thread. It's been deserted lately.

Did you watch the games yesterday? It will be the Saints and the Colts in the Super Bowl! I hope the Saints win because they have been just phenomenal this year. Who are you routing for?

Have you ever grown spaghetti squash? They are very easy to grow but you get so many at once that you don't know what to do with them all. I grew them once but since dh doesn't like them, I didn't plant anymore. I love them without a lot of other stuff on them. Just a little salt and pepper. I love the little bit of crunch they have. And it's amazing how filling they are.

It's been raining cats and dogs for almost 24 hours here so I'm staying indoors today if I can. I may have to deal with tenants later on though so we'll see.

I've been using FitDay everyday to help me lose the weight I gained last year and it's working so far. I was amazed at the breakdown they give you on everything you eat. It's really helping me stay aware of what I'm doing.

I have been debating on starting a journal here on the board too but I can't make up my mind. The problem is that there are times when I can't keep up with everything and that would be one more thing to tend to, especially in the summer during berry season. Everytime I sit down to start one, I get interrupted and that's the end of that. But maybe one day soon, I'll just do it.

                    Have a nice day!

I've been using Fitday since day 1 and really like it. I don't think I could have kept going without it.

I also started a journal soon after we I started. I love having it because I can just get everything out and get feedback from the people who I trust the most - the ones who come and visit all the time.

I don't know who I'm going to root for for SuperBowl.....I was for the Vikings and the Jets so I guess I'm going to go for the Colts. Honestly I really don't care who wins.

I'm hoping to get my head back in it soon!

Sorry, I've been MIA for a while - laptop died and waiting for it to be fixed. Was so busy at work last week, and out yesterday...and hate the hubs computer, so didn't take the time to post.

But, I'm back....and rooting for the Saints.

I was going with Vikings/Colts in the superbowl, with Colts winning...but when I heard the Saints had never been...had to go with the underdog...so now it's my new team!
