  • Re: CC "Fat Blaster" challenge!

I managed to keep it under control as we lived out of the cooler for four days. We ate in restaurants twice - more to break up the long car ride than anything else. My scale here at home says I lost one pound which is a miracle considering all the sitting around you do at baseball tournaments. Had to work today and the doc's office closes around the same time so I can't weigh in officially until I have a day off!

This diet can certainly be an emotional roller coaster. Sometimes I'm ready to give it up altogether because it's just too hard to pay attention to it all the time. Other times I feel so good it's like there are drugs involved. I'll take the drug part any time!!!!

        Hi everyone

It sounds like inches and pounds are melting away and Fat Blasters are going strong! I lost another pound this week taking me to 213. Onederland is getting closer and closer and I'm starting to get really exited about being there.

I just posted in the main forum about what an amazing weekend I had dacing in the Notting Hill Carnival in London. It was truly a great experience and if you have a moment, please read as it explains what I got up to in more depth. It was 9 hours of dancing in the streets to funky music and I ache all over but it was most certainly worth every second of effort and I definately got my exercise in that day.

Have now sorted my workout routine to 5 days in the gym (3 cardio & 2 weights) and at least one Body Combat class a week. I'm going to take it a little easier this week until my body recovers from the heavy weekend but I'll still get it done, just at a slower rate!

Have a great week and will catch up with everyone soon. Keep up the good work because you're all doing so well

Dancing in the carnival sounds like a lot of fun. I've yet to combine exercise and fun in the same time period! I just don't like doing it. I like the way I feel afterward but..... I'll do it anyway. Weird body that I have - I exercised more than usual yesterday and gained a pound when I stepped on my scale this morning! BUT, I tossed quite a few pieces of clothing because they were just too big to wear anymore. Now THAT was fun!

I'm thinking my goal was very ambitious for this challenge. Plus I can't remember what my weight was at the start to keep track! I've averaged 10 pounds a month for the last four months so I'll try to keep that up despite the decreased time to exercise now that school is starting back up. Will have to boost the number of times I walk the halls! Will I be able to pull off another 40 pounds by Christmas? Gonna TRY!!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted everything is going awesome I have lost more weight I can feel it the water retention is leaving me and yesterday I really ran well. My energy is back YAY and I did my 4 miles in 48.08 minutes. I was going for 48 minutes but I'll take it. At the end I was humping along at 7MPH it was sooo awesome. I have never gone that fast on the treadmill the best I ever did before was 6MPH Hooly cow. I am looking forward to getting to goal and being able to run fast and finish fast that would be awesome.

Today is my 3 miles day and weights so this day I don't push so hard cause I don't wanna be wrecked but, hey you all know me. LOL

I better run gotta get the kiddo to school.

Iyamamaschke what an awesome job you are doing! Just checking in. I was able to keep my goal of exercising 3x a week for 20 mins a pop last week. (The first time in years) and boy did it feel good. I did'nt lose any weight but stayed the same. Hoping when TOM visits next week I'll drop.

My weight is not doing so good. I've actually gained instead of losing these last couple of days. Hope it is just water weight. I'm doing the right things with the diet and I am exercising like I should. I signed up for a 5 mile walk to raise money for Breast Cancer research and I've never walked more than 3 miles in my life. Hope I can do it. Went back to the mall and started walking this morning trying to get used to walking again. Of course this walking is not like walking out on the street but maybe it will help. Today with the walking and Curves I burned 1170 calories. But I was really tired afterwards. I had to come home and rest afterwards. Does that count as exercise if you have to lay down afterwards?

Hey Punkin don't worry abut the water weight I always gain before a whooshie so I am thinking that may be what your body is doing. It basically plumps up all the fat cells so it seems as though you have gained or not lost then the body all of a sudden realizes it doesn't need that any more and releases the water creating a Whooshie. I am sure that this is what is going on I go up and down a lot I am really glad at this point I don't weigh cause really it was my ritual and either would make or break my day. Daily fluctuations are completely normal Don't fret it will come off. I have been know to gain 8 pounds over night so I wouldn't worry it always comes back off

Sarah - I do worry though - I'm afraid I'm really gaining weight and I can't figure out why. It is so frustrating to be doing things right then to see the scale say you weigh more than you have been weighing. I hope that fairy comes to visit me soon. Not too long ago I went down 4 lbs. in one night. I hope that happens again soon or I'm really going to get discouraged again. I'm only taking in about 25 carbs per day and I haven't reach my ... what ever you call that level where you can't take in any more carbs ..... I can't ever remember those initials. I'm awful at remembering acronyms. Anyway, I can still lose at this level but instead of losing, I'm gaining. It's only water weight, it's only water weight, it's only water weight. If I tell myself enough that's all it is maybe I will believe it

Yankee; I think a sticky is when a thread gets "stuck" permanently at the top of the page, instead of sliding towards the bottom when nobody posts. That way this thread won't get lost on the second page or something.

Punkin: I hope you find your maximum carb load thingie and can enter into a happy state of Ongoing Weight Loss. As I am still in extended induction, i have no idea what advice to offer you, other then to hang in there because I am sure you will eventually have it figured out!!

No weight loss this week for me, yet. Too much stress not enough exercise. 2 more days of work and then this temp assignment ends. Then I will be an exercising fiend!!

I had my last day of work today, but I start "work" (sort of) in a research lab tomorow. It's more of a 10 hour a week thing though, so I am looking forwward to kicking atkins into high gear again! I totally plateaued this week. Stayed on atkins and exercised a little, but not enough to lose anything. At least I didn't gain though! Gotta stay positive and get remotivated!
