    Re: UK!

I got my flax seeds - cold milled - from Holland and Barrett - the bag is quite large - 15oz - it cost about ten pounds and is full of goodness - I just havent managed to find anything I like using them yet - am just going to try the mock muffins tonight - hopefully they'll knock my socks off!!

      Re: UK!

Was that the price including postage? I found my local health food shop was much cheaper - 500 grams of golden linseeds for £2.50 (and even much cheaper than that if I order a larger quantity too).
I make the microwaved flax bread recipe often, or if I want to make buns or cake add some splenda or Davinci syrup.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

              Re: UK!

              Hi all

Just asking a stupid question but here goes!!

I've looked at some of the posts on this thread and some people have put nutrition info from products and for example it says:

              Carbs - 13.9g
              Of which Sugars - 2.7g.

Which one do I take into consideration when counting carbs? Stupidly enough I did Atkins for 4 months last year and always counted the top figure

              Thanks

                  Bargain Supplements

Anyone who has Poundland near by, should go down.....

There are lots of Atkins Basic 3 supplements for only £1 for 60 tablets. Thats 15 days supply. They do expire in July, but at least you get 2 months of supply.

                      Sugarfree Mayo / Dressings?

Ever since moving to the UK in January, I've been looking for sugar free mayonnaise or dressing... unsuccessfully! I've resorted to making my own mayonnaise, which is OK but I really don't have the time... in the States they have Duke's Mayo, which is simply made without sugar. No sugar substitute either. But I haven't been able to find anything here...

                      Ideas?

Dressings would be lovely, too... I just prefer something creamy on my salad rather than oil!

                      Thanks!
I want to be thin. I want to be a runner. Why can't I get it into my head that both things require work??

Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.

Hellmans Real Mayonnaise (The standard UK brand) has no added sugar in it. 1.5% carb, 0.2 g in 15 g. Many of the supermarket own brand Mayos are the same - beware of the reduced fat Mayos. Hellmans Light Mayo has 6.5% carb.

Newmans Italian Salad Dressing is about the lowest carb available, and one of the tastiest. It is an oil based dressing, but there is a Newmans Ranch Dressing - think carb content is a little more. Available in most supermarkets.

Lidls fullfat mayo does list sugar towards the end of a long list of ingredients but as it has only 0.9 carbs per 100 grams (3.5 ounces) I reckon it cant have much sugar in it.

What excercise are you doing? Are you drinking at least 2 litres of water a day? 3.5lbs is good per week, dont be disappointed! I would try and cut out the jelly as it contains something that could stall ur weight loss.
