Are you having your 3 cups of veggies all in the one meal, Ginette? It is better to spread them across the day to even out any blood sugar 'spikes'. So have some with each meal if you can.
Make sure you also include other veggies than just lettuce - mushrooms, peppers, cucumber, radishes and celery count as 'salad veggies' and have more nutrients in them than plain old chewy water (lettuce)
And if you only have 2 cups of the 'salad veggies' you can have a cup of the other list - broccolli, cauli, brussels, onions, tomatoes - too!!

Remember the 3-4 ounces of cheese limit as well.

just one question when looking at foodpackaging in the uk do i need to add the fibre and the carbs together to get the true carb count thanks ginette
No, thecarbs mentioned on ourlabels is the 'net' carbs number after the fibre carbs have been deducted.

The only time you would need to add them together would be if you are entering a custom food in www.fitday, where you have to add them together for a 'total carbs' figure to enter plus enter the fibre carbs as 'fiber', so fitday (being a US programme) can do the maths.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Help - can anyone please tell me what a spaghetti squash is? Do we get them in the UK (if so where) or are they hiding under another name?

              Confused,

                hi Baarb
I have never seen it for sale, but I seem to remember one member mentioned buying it last year, so it must be around somewhere.

                Maybe in an 'ethnic' shop?
I googled a photo of it to help people identify and recognise it if they do see one.
Hopefully some members will be able to let us know if they buy it and if so where.

I found some seeds for this at a local organic plant seed place, but we have not put them in yet. Will keep you posted. Now all I need to work out is how to cook it. Suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for the info and picture. It doesn't look familiar. Maybe I'll grow some and see what it's like.

Just remembered, have been meaning to ask for ages - do any of you UK residents use ketostix and if so, where do you get them?

I thought I'd ask re. shops before trying ebay or somewhere. I've checked my local Boots, they don't have them.
