    WOOP WOOP WOOP and WOO HOO

    This morning (start of day 3) and I am down 2.5 pounds! I expect that this is only water weight but at least I am seeing a downward trend. And this is from somebody who has been stalled FOREVER!!!!

    Now the real trick will be to see if A) I can lose all the weight I put on from cheating = 7 pounds and B) If I can progress beyond this

      Congratulations on your 2.5 pound loss Mindykins!!!!!!!!!!

      I would like to have the same relationship as yours with the scale.......I don't dare to jump on it until I finish my induction!!! I am actually forcing myself right now but hope to have a big surprise on the 14th day!!!

        Hi everybody,

        I haven’t checked in yet, so I’ll give a quick rundown of the past 3 days.

        On Sunday the 1st, I started out very well, but the wheels came off Sunday evening when I had a piece of milk-tart. Monday the 2nd, I put the wheels back on my little car and started the journey again. It is going very well, and I am actually cheat-free for 2 days now (if you count today). I am drinking my water and I’ve also exercised today.

        And, I’ve also stopped smoking – 3 days smoke free!! So at this moment, I do have the munchies quite bad. But, I am drinking water and just ignoring the craving to stuff my face!!! I hope I can keep this up.

        Today’s Menu, so far:
        - Lots of water
        - 3 Cups of coffee – decaffeinated
        - 2 eggs scrambled
        - Chicken and 1 cup veggies
        - BBQ Steak and salad (planned for this evening)

                Same here, although I am considering a step on the scale after 7 days, since TOM will be around at day 14 and usually I have a bad case of water retention and the results might be frustrating. Haven't decided yet...

                    Just checking in on day two.I had a killer headache yesterday as a result of induction flu but it's gone today.Probably will resurface but I know induction flu for me lasts for about three days so looking forward to tomorrow.Yes. I don't know if we are supposed to weigh in at the end of the challenge but I won't becuase one of my new years goals is to stay off the scale until the end of January.I am not so much focusing on weight loss anymore so much as on perfecting Atkins as a WOE for me personally,and concentrating on exercising.That is really my biggest challenge that I need to overcome.Hope everyone else is doing well.
                    I CAN RESIST EVERYTHING AND TEMPTATION.

                      Just a quick check so that everyone knows I am still here!! I will be here more often now that the crazy New Year Week-end is over. No more company and back in the routine for awhile!

                      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                      what the rungs mean to me:
                      rung 1 - more veggies
                      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                      rung 4 - berries, melon
                      rung 5 - wine -
                      rung 6 - beans, hummus
                      rung 7 - other fruits
                      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                      (on to pre-maintenance)

                          Sounds like everyone is doing great today! So nice to read all of the positive posts...I too am down 2.5 lbs on Day 3, but I also think it is due to water loss - nonetheless, it is encouraging!

                            Hi all, doing good here. Well except for that headache that comes on when you decide to cut caffeine and sugar right on out of there. This is day 2 for me, I am a day behind ya'll, but I will still make it. Expecting induction flu tomorrow. Argh

                                I'm also on plan, and cheat free for a week now. I am so excited and happy. Scale is in my household goods shipment, floating accross the Pacific ocean about now, but thats okay. Glad to hear all are doing well
