    Good Morning!
I'm still trying to catch up on the four pages from this past weekend! LOL

    How is everyone doing today?!!

TOM is within a week and I'm starting to feel the PMS! Weight was the same today although I feel thinner. I really got a boost of energy last night, cleaned up the house, even went in the basement and went though some boxes! Where did that come from?

Sunny - I signed up for the Wednesday challenge! Thanks!

Looking at some of the menus, I need to get to the grocery store to get some variety in my days. Anyone else do simple things, but vary it up? I didn't get to boiling the eggs last night, I have to admit I forgot, so maybe tonight.

Anyone want to challenge yourself for a 10-20 minute toning session today?

I think thats doable for me! I love NCIS and the Biggest Loser so I always so weights, sit-ups, squats etc while watching both shows, its a great workout and you can get alot of toning in!

Marty - glad you are back!!!

Sherri- I did start a journal, wasn't sure that I have time for that "upkeep" but you are right, I think it will help me track what I do by day and get me more motivated! I have little time on the computer so I need to make the best of it!

Catherine - I love your check list! I would love to have a TM at home! OMGosh I'd be on that twice a day! Do you do that at home or a gym that you get that done in the morning?

Cat - you have long hours everyday or just trying to catch up? You are doing so well, I know you'll be at onderland sooner than you know!!!

I know I'm missing a few of you, I have to get to work but will be back later!

Let's make this a great day!!

      Goodmorning! =)

I honestly thought I was going to sleep a bit longer, but then my mother had to wake me up and tell me that I had to move the car cause of streetcleaning. I hate streetcleaning. I wish they did it a day where I would actually be at work, bla bla bla, the usual.

Thanks everyone for the many compliments. I agree, we are all in this together and we will reach our goal in no time!!! At this time around, I honestly don't care how long it takes, just as long as I know that I will be at a healthy weight sometime, that's all that matters. I don't think I had that mindset before which is probably why I failed those many times. The weight isn't going to melt off me just like that. No way. It's going to take time and I have to accept that fact.

Tracey, isn't TOM the worst? I hate the fact that we always retain water during it. And it hurts and it's painful, all those things. Oy, it sucks. I don't get it until the 23, supposedly...

Okay, so, I am contimplating going to the gym today. I've gone the last two days in a row and I think I should rest my muscles, but I do need to excercise because this weight needs to come off. -sighs- Such a hard decision. I should just go tomorrow instead before I have to go to work. I think that's a lot better, don't you think?

        Morning Ladies,
I woke up early 6:16 (for me). I am trying to get to work earlier so I can leave when my students are dismissed @ 3:00. I didn't get to sleep until about 1;00 AM. I just couldn't relax. I am still up in weight. I may just change my darn ticker if I don't get back down to 179 this week. I wanted to eat some Hawaiian sweet bread, but I know that this will only make me even more annoyed when I put on even more weight.

Anyway, Have a great day Derby Girls!!!

What's on everyone's lunch menu today?

              I just had:

salad with turkey, bacon crumbles, 1 hb egg, a little very fine shredded cheese and a little ranch dressing

              80 ounces of water in!

              It was delicious!

Mmm. I have no idea what I want for lunch yet, but I think I'll just have something like a salad, I'm trying to cut back on eating a lot of meat. It's hard since I love meat. Lol. I don't know yet. There's not too many options to choose from in this house again. Ha ha. The only veggies we have are greenbeans and that jicama my mother bought me...o.O And corn, but I can't have that.

I had a big bowl of my homemade soup (the last of it) and I had canned pumpkin with butter. I can't believe I didn't like pumpkin until just a couple of months ago. Now I'm an addict. I have to forbid myself from having it more than once a day. Hello, my name is Sunny and I'm a pumpkin addict.

I'm having a grilled sirloin steak for dinner and a big salad with lots of veggies in it. When I have to deprive myself of so many legal foods while on the yeast-free diet, I treat myself to more higher priced veggies so I don't pout. I even bought my veggies at a higher priced grocery store, so they would be fresher and nicer. I bought jicama, snow peas, red and yellow bell peppers, chayote squash and endive. The jicama cost twice what I pay for it at Wal-Mart, but it is twice as fresh and good.

Tracey--If you have ever told us where you're from, I've forgotten (the mind is the first to go when you get old!) so would you refresh my memory??? I THINK I know where all the rest of the Derby Girls are from. I need to know in case I have to send the posse out looking for you all!

I've gotten all my seed catalogs, so I am going to get started on my orders. I bought a delicious summer squash this year at the Farmer's Market, but didn't know the name and couldn't find it in any of my regular catalogs, so I spent quite a bit of time on the 'net this morning and found out what it was. It's called Cucurbita Pepo "Flying Saucer" squash. I only bought one small one and it was uber delicious roasted. I went back the next week and they didn't have any more. This is what it looks like:

I LOVE jicama! Don't cut your meat down too far. Make sure you have some at every meal, just cut your portion size. I had to do that back when I had a long stall. Be sure to keep your fat high, though. When I cut portion size on my meat, I added extra olive oil to my salad dressing. I have just got really into sesame oil on my salads! Mmmmmmmm!

Your welcome Glenda, we're happy to have you here. What I want to know is which cat stepped on the keyboard when you found my journal, was it Sheena? Thanks Sheena, Willow or Ta-Ta for bringing my new friend Glenda to me

You are right Sherri it was Sheena who introduced us by stepping on the keyboard!!!

I'm very anxious & jittery this evening. My DD will be home tomorrow night & I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. Have started getting teary eyed too. She called me at work twice to let me know that she was on the road & heading home. Of course I didn't get to talk to her but co-workers relayed her messages. I've talked to her since I got home & she is just as excited as I am. She has met a girl about her age who is traveling to NYC. It's nice that they have each other for company.

Last night I had pumpkin with cream cheese, cinammon & Splenda heated up in the microwave. Now I know what everyone has been raving about. Yummy!!!

Sorry I'm babbling... Good night to you all! Keep your fingers crossed my beeper doesn't go off tonight...I'm on call. I work in the operating room at my local hospital...I'm a nurse. I live in Vermont!

Hi all!! Quick post. I'm so tired. I didn't go to work today. I took my Mom to be fitted for her prosthesis and by the time I got back in town, it was so late. I just couldn't make myself go in so I called in and told them not to expect me.

I've had sausage/eggs for breakfast; meatloaf, collard green, and pumpkin with butter and Splenda for lunch; and pork roast with zucchini, yellow squash, russet potatoes, and celery for dinner (had 1 oz. of peanuts for snack). I'm trying so hard to cut down on gum consumption but that is what keeps me from cheating and snacking on forbidden foods.

I did Leslie Sansone Express 1 mile walk (got my orthotics today and testing them out). I also did Denise Austin 5 minute toners (did 3) - back, thighs, and waist. The moves I couldn't do...I modified.

Ok, must get off of here. It's storming and we have a tornado watch until 4:00 am. Ok, like I'm supposed to be able to sleep knowing this. Why was it 72 yesterday and supposed to be 48 tomorrow and rain and snow showers on Friday. Such psycho weather.

                        Hugs to all of you!!

I am going to be nosey. I have been reading about your daughter coming home and how excited you are, but I don't know where she's been or for how long, so could you fill us in a little???

I remember the first time my daughter drove home from college in Rhode Island to Virginia, through New York City. She was only 16 years old and I am so glad that I didn't know she was driving by herself until she was in Pennsylvania. She didn't drive back by herself!

I am exhausted. I went to Curves tonight. I did 35 minutes on the circuit, 20 pushups, 150 crunches, 30 squats. I am pooped.

I will talk to you ladies in the am.

                                Good Morning Derby Girls!

My beeper was silent all night!

To answer Sunny's question my DD has been in Memphis, TN & prior to that NYC. She has been gone for 2 yrs 10 months as she met a guy & thought it was love. Turns out he doesn't like to work & she is sick of supporting him etc... Kicked him to the curb & is coming home.
