    Good Morning Derby Girls~

I'm at 251 this morning so I didn't make my goal for today (5 lbs. over) but I'm ok with it...Dr.'s appt today. Nothing major, but I wanted to be at the same weight as my last visit a year ago.

Sunny ~ I hope your mood lifts today - your exercise stats are impressive

Catrenia - wow! sounds like your exercise plan is taking off! Are those new orthotics working?

Tracey - the pocket rock must have worked a little yesterday - 150 oz of water - BWTG!

Sherri ~ now why didn't I think of throwing the rock at 'em? I'm a legal guardian for disabled adults - done it for 25+ years - much too long.

Marty - you are so right about riding out the rough spots

Becca - hey girlie, sounds like you are working around the clock

Kassoria - Curves must have to hose down the equipment - you're burning up that circuit!

Glenda - Bet you were up all night with your DD! Glad she's home!

Time to get started on today's checklist...Everyone have a good day

I'm not very happy with me right now. Even the sunny, warm day didn't lift my spirits. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so that should really help.

Sorry, I can't think of one positive thing to write, so I'll go back to bed and read.

I'm sorry Sunny!! I know how those black moods feel and they stink. Shall we get rid of them? I wish it were that easy. Is there anything we can do to cheer you up? Want me to do the MC Hammer "You Can't Touch This" dance? It's really hilarious. I could make a You Tube video and send it but then it might get really popular and spread across the internet and I just can't handle that kind of stardom right now (maybe when I reach my goal weight).

Marty, you have to get TJ. I absolutely loved it and thinking about it makes me want to cry. Stupid body of mine failing me!!! Ugh!! Ok, but, depite that, do try it and let me know how you like it.

Kass, yes I'm finally getting to exercise. I'm praying that these orthotics will help to correct the Morton's. If not, I will be devastated and will have to pray for God to help me through it. I'm sure the Derby girls will keep me strong. I have to agree with Catherine, they'll have to hose down the equipment at Curves. You're smokin'.

Bekka - what do you mean when you say, "I haven't cheated yet"? Don't do it!! It's not worth how it will make you feel in the long run. Stay strong!! You can do it. Look how awesome you've done so far. You've made it 16 days (and it only takes 21 days to form a habit). Keep going girl!!

Glenda - I'm so happy for you and your daughter. Enjoy each moment you spend together.

Catherine - keep your fingers crossed or send up a prayer that these orthotics are the answer to prayer. I NEED to be able to exercise.

Tracey - I visited your journal today. I don't know how I missed that you had one. Keep up the great work.

Sherri - where ya at? Great job on gazelling this week.

          Sunny - I hope you're feeling better.

Sweets - that's it. We're coming to get you!!!!

I just made up a funny song (at least I think it's funny). Do you remember the Shower to Shower jingle (just a sprinkle a day, helps keep odor away)? Ok, think of the same tune and sing the words below:

          Staying cheat-free today,
Will help to keep those pounds away.
          Have you stayed cheat-free today?

Ok, so I need help. However, you all took that risk of being around me when you signed on to be a DERBY girl. LOL!!

Oh it is hard to keep up with you ladies!!

Catrenia - Love it! Can I also see the dance??!! I laughed out loud, what a hoot!

Sunny - 85 minutes of exercise! You go girl! Anything we can do to lift that mood? Why can't you sing on Sunday if you miss one practice?

Catherine - I didn't make my goal for today either but thats ok. We are in it for the long haul and we will make it!!!

Glenda - I can hear the excitement in your posts, you must be on top of the world right now!!!

Bekka - what was on Oprah? 16 days, that is great, keep your eye on the prize and focus, you are doing great!!

Marty - I think that TOM wants to have it's last stand and thats why I have so many problems each month. More so in the timing than anything else... one week early, two weeks early, on time.... I can't keep it straight anymore, he just shows up! LOL Now I've had "symptoms" all week and nothing yet! hahaha I don't think my mom went through menopause until 55-60... I'm only 45.... not looking good for the home team! hahaha

Kass - thanks for visiting my journal! Just started it and it may help.. at least I'll have to keep myself accountable right?? 625 situps already!!!! Maybe we will have to see you in those daisy dukes!

Sherri - how are you today, weather in Oregon???

Ok - gotta get for a 1:30 meeting!

Like I could... especially, the day I almost went over the mountain in my jeep.... never that trail again. You seemed to have hung around me to much and catch my blackmood disese!! I am really sorry. One thing to be in a bad mood, but a whole other thing to not know why!!

Tracey: One of these days we're going to kick TOM's BUTT!! Course I'm at the age he's making his "last" stand. Wish he would just go away

Now that I have written a book I must wish you a fond farwell. I have brought some work home today so I guess I'd better get to it. I also have to do my treadmill sor the 20/24 challenge.

                    Talk to everyone later!!!
Not to worry, I'm back to my sunny self today. That could change, though--my oldest sister is talking "at" me on the phone right now, don't have a clue what she is saying. My participation in the conversation is not expected or even allowed.

I turned 58 today and I'm holding my breath that I am done with TOM. I had extra visits from Aunt Flo up through November, and none since. I was worried last night, because it felt like PMS black mood.

Did you do your tredmill for the 20/24 challenge? As of a little while ago, you hadn't checked in. Go check in, girl!

                    Sunny!

This is great news! I so wish my daughter had not married the non-working pretty boy that her future M-I-L pushed on her so they wouldn't have to support him anymore. She had a super high-risk pregnancy (all her docs wanted her to abort), but she had to go back to work when Brett was less than 2 weeks old, because her worthless husband couldn't play golf every day without her income. He couldn't play at the cheap places, either, it had to be the Country Club. I'm glad your daughter smartened up while the getting out was good! I'm so glad she made it home safe. She'll do fine!

Yes! Yes! That would do it! I've got a bunch of songs that chase the blues away. The other night in Big Lots, they were playing my favorite station and I danced my way through the store. I got some funny looks and some laughs! I just love "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross, so I was waltzing to that song. I love to dance!

Sunny - 85 minutes of exercise! You go girl! Anything we can do to lift that mood? Why can't you sing on Sunday if you miss one practice?

Tracey--we sing a new prelude, call to worship, choral response and usually special music every Sunday. Lots of time it is totally new music to most of us, and if we are not at practice, we couldn't possibly be able to sing our part well on Sunday. We are a really big choir and I have a very strong voice, so if I goof, it would be very obvious.

Thank you, Cat! That's so pretty!

Well, Derby Girls, looks like we have got our lazy, out of shape Butts in gear with the exercise! I only had time made time to get in 30 minutes today--10 floor exercise and 20 minutes on the stepper.

I didn't feel like it, but I got myself up early and went to the Food Pantry today to volunteer. It wasn't very cold today, so I did okay. I packed myself some grilled chicken thighs because I don't leave the Pantry until after 1:00 pm and then I had to go to two grocery stores for major groceries. Then, like the brain dead person that I am in the early morning, I left the cooler sitting on the kitchen counter. I bought some pork rinds at the first store and that was my 'lunch' until I got home at 3:45! Grrrrr Oddly enough, I was in a good mood all day and in very little pain.

I had a hard time working in exercise, but I have to go early tomorrow to let them (UVA docs) have another go at my spinal cord. I will be mostly down until Monday.

I had better get off here and get some rest! Good night!
