    Hi friends!
Sorry I havn't been around much. Tom came and kicked my butt this time. I missed my Dr. Appt. Tuesday. I was in bed all day in pain. I rescheduled my appt. for the 29th. The good news is that I kept my hair appt. and had three inches trimmed off and had it highlighted. It looks and feels great.
I see I wasn't the only one in a funk. Wow, did it hit all of us? Talk about being connected!
Monday night I felt ravished and the cravings were more than I could handle. I ate 4 sugar free cookies and ate 2 pieces organic sprout cinnamin toast. I'm counting it as a cheat ( cookies had white flour in them). So today is day 2 cheat free days. Back to square one. I didn't gain an ounce on my cheat. It still sucks though cause the cookies weren't worth it!
I'm still not 100% feeling well. I just wanted to come see you all and give you a big hug and tell ya I love you all! I should be back to my ol' self tomorrow. TTYL
Good for getting back on track. It's hard to go back to square one. Keep focused on the goal and we can do this!!!

Good evening, Derby Girls! Just a quick one before I head off to bed. I just got home from Bible study and choir practice. I didn't do any exercise today, because I finally got on a roll with house cleaning and I knew I had to go to church tonight. We are supposed to have a bad snow/sleet/ice storm starting after midnight, so I won't be going to the Food Pantry tomorrow. I'm going to finally get the carpets cleaned!

I sure did enjoy being off that yeast-free diet, but my stomach is having a hard time digesting the heavier food. I probably had too much dairy for the first day back.

Sherri--good to see you back! I was worried about you! PMS munchies are the worst!

      Sunny!

I'm so angry I could just spit nails. I got home only to find the neigbhors had decided to call the police to say my brother's car was blocking their mailbox. Now, how can his car block their mailbox when it's on my property? Not only that, whatever happened to going to knock on a door? Call the cops? I could just slap them. Here lies the problem!! I never bother these people. I've lived here for almost 3 years. When I get home, I go straight in the house and usually don't come back out. I'm never outside to disturb the peace, etc.. I just don't get it. Why are people so dang malicious? Well, the joke is on them. The policeman was embarassed. He laughed and said he didn't know why they called him because it was obvious the car was on my property and was clearly not blocking their mailbox.

Those orthotics must be doing the trick! I bet you wished you bought them years ago!

Is your Leslie Sansone's WATP's video "Walk Away the Pounds Express" Super Challenge?? The 4-miler? That's what I have and I love it. I'm going to get up to 4 miles by the end of this month.

Yeah! Weather forecasters got it right for once! We got a bunch of snow and more on the way before it turns to sleet and freezing rain ! My birds are so pretty in the snow, specially the cardinals!

It stopped snowing and now the nasty freezing rain has started. I had planned to lift weights today to make up for not lifting yesterday, but after shoveling snow for an hour my arms are burning and screaming in pain. I've cleaned my car off twice, so it doesn't get so much I can't get it off after the sleet and freezing rain covers the snow. I'm glad that I have been lifting for a month so at least my muscles had a chance to get stronger! I'm gonna count snow shoveling as exercise today.

I had chili today for lunch and was missing my cornbread to go with it. The microwave flax bread reminds me a bit of cornbread, only I bake it in the oven so it is brown, so I decided to bake some. Then, I decided to add extra sharp cheese cubes and some parmesan cheese to the batter, plus some garlic powder. I keep some mild Italian sausage crumbles pre-fried and frozen to have ready for pizza, so I added some of that, some bacon from breakfast and some red peppers and onion and a pinch of Italian seasoning, baked them in muffin cups--and let me tell you--they were fantastic! I'm gonna bake a bunch and freeze them to have ready to eat when I need something fast. They were good cold, too.

As you can probably tell, I'm not cleaning carpets and the roll I was on yesterday with house cleaning is gone! Actually, since I am tracking in snow and gunk, it's not a good day to clean carpet, but I so need to defrost my upright freezer and clean the oven. I think I'll go take a nap and dream about it!
                          Sunny!

                            Hey everyone!

Snowing here but it's warm so it's not sticking to the roads...yet....supposed to get anywhere from 2-6 inches, always depends on where you are etc... right! LOL

I survived another lunch this week out! I can tell I'm in ketosis, not very hungry and my breath could stop a train!

Sunny - I think you can count that shoveling as exercise!!! Chili sounds good! I think there is pork steaks on the menu for me tonight! YUM, the crispier the outside the better!

                            Ok - back to it!

                              Hey Derby Girls~

I saw the vascular surgeon today. There is NOTHING wrong with my carotid artery: no clot, no block, nada. I do apparently have damage to the vein under/near my collarbone and it is PROBABLY due to my 2001 car wreck. The surgeon was puzzled as to why I was there. By this morning I was a basket case...when they took my b/p it was 160/100 on medication....

there is a possibility that my symptom could be a more serious problem but I would need to undergo the contrast CT to rule that out - but I've decided to wait until after our vacation to even consider the additional testing.

I went over my CCL today but 75% was vegetables so I'm forgiving myself. (struggling with the legumes rung) When DH walked in tonight with chocolate cupcakes and a bag of fritos I did consider, for a minute, tackling him....but I didn't. Had a chicken caesar for dinner. I've started to calm down and hopefully tomorrow I'll get back to my structure...what I know works for me. The imaginary pain in my neck is almost gone and most of what's left is aggravation that my dr. blew this all out of proportion - she's a good person but she's undergone some serious medical treatment in the last year and I suspect its leaking into her approach to patients. She still has a laundry list of 'tests' she wants me to have - uh, not gonna happen.

Anyway, I see many of you are on track (Sunny, Marty, Tracey & Kass) and rolling and some of us (uh, Glenda and me) are awaiting TOM...Sherri, I hope you're feeling better....Cat...your neighbors are ! CreateMe, Bekka and Mary - where y'all at?

ok, I've yada yada'd long enough - my affect is still off the charts but after work tomorrow, its hibernation time (high on Saturday is supposed to reach 4 (FOUR)) I have 'fresh' magazines and a couple of easy mysteries...

thanks everyone for your good thoughts this week - I REALLY appreciated them.

Cat...Where are you today, trying on Daisy Dukes? I hope you didn't go over and beat up those stupid neighbors. Wait for us.

Sherri baby...where are you. Glad to see that you are doing well.

Sunny....shovelling snow is worth two days of exercise. I will also count some of that exercise for me, because I am taking tonight off.

Tracy...Did you get all of your water in today? You are where I'd like to be. 140 ish. But 125 would be my ultimate goal in my next life. LOL.

Glenda Marty, Sherri...where the heck are ya? Hope you beautiful ladies are having a great day!
