No Duke's for the 14 days. It has vinager, too. It would be better than Kraft or Hellmann's because they have sugar. As for spices--there are none except fresh herbs. Luckily I grow my own parsley, basil, chives, oregano and marjoram. All dry spices including cinnamon, garlic powder and the likes have mold spores. It is doable and it's not forever. You do have to add stuff back in slowly and very carefully. I picked mayo and dijon mustard to add back in first, along with green and chamomile tea and my coffee. I already know caffeine doesn't bother me, so I went off just because of the molds in the tea leaves or coffee grounds.

Did you read the part of the book that says you might have to put the whole family on the diet? I thought of that when you said your daughter had ringworm--a fungus infection.

I had no idea that an ongoing problem with my skin was caused by yeast, but the diet cleared it up when two years of prescription creams and a lotion had helped, but had not cured it. When I went back on antibiotics after the surgery, it came back a little, but not as bad as before.

You can do anything for 14 days. I won't lie and tell you it was easy, but it can be done, and the benefits outweigh the temporary loss of foods you love. You usually feel pretty bad just from yeast die-off, but at least you know it's working. I sure did appreciate my added back in foods because I had been denied them. What made me mad was having to give up foods that I had forced myself to learn to like for the fat content. When I started Atkins, I didn't like mayo, cream cheese or sour cream! Learn to love them, and bang--they are gone!

I am so proud of you and really impressed with how you have stuck to the WOE that takes off the most belly fat. You are so beautiful in that picture! The kid might be eye candy, but he will think that you are arm candy when he takes you out! He will be that proud to have you on his arm.

Speaking of arms--yours are very shapely! I always had fat legs and arms--even when I was skinny everywhere else.

Good afternoon ladies, we had some bad weather here today too. We actually had a tornado warning, but things are better now.

Lisa- Wow, thank God you and your family are ok. I saw the pics and that is frightening.

Cat - Girl I am sorry I didn't comment on your pictures, you look great and are such an inspiration.

Hey, where are our other DG? Marty, Sheri, Sherri, Catherine, Pyra, Ketone, Godsbeloved...... Where are you gals?

              Hey ladies.

Lisa, I'm so glad you and your little ones are okay. The wind was something fierce here too. I thought it was going to blow my car over. lol We got a little hail too. Ugh, I hate bad weather. I had heard that lots of trees were down in the Atl area... little did I know one was on your house. Thank goodness it landed on your garage.

Well, I had my weigh-in today. I'm down another 2.1 pounds. That puts me at 316.9. I'm very happy with that.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful day.

Sunny, Cat, Kass - Thank you all for your encouraging words. Yes God has brought me through much and that was only part of my testimony....whew! As I typed it this morning I began to cry and thank God for what He has done. Yes, I do believe He has brought us together for a reason.

I am headed to the gym now. Catch you gals later.

Liz---that is fantastic! Even with being out of town, you are doing so well!

I just finished my dinner of Cheesy Bacon Chicken and Cabbage Casserole! My, oh my, was it good. I really liked the cabbage, onions and peppers sautéed in the bacon grease. I sprinkled a little paprika on the veggies as they sautéed and that really set them off. I have fried cabbage and onions before in butter, but this was totally different and delicious in the bacon grease with the peppers.

The whole time I was making this, I was thinking how to make it with corned beef for St. Patty's Day. I was thinking everything the same except for corned beef in place of the chicken and Swiss cheese instead of cheddar. We always go to my last living Uncle's house because his birthday is on St. Patrick's Day--he will be 96 this year, and still has the best memory of anyone I know and is spry as can be.

Well, I'm off to rest. As usual, I've done too much today. It is not taking much to be too much these days. I have to rest up, because I AM going to choir practice tomorrow night. I am going to be so behind in practice for the Easter Cantata and the Maunday Thursday service. I'm going to be singing "Ten Thousand Angels."

                    Love ya all! Sunny!

                        Hey Ladies,

I started rung 2 this week (dairy). Seems to be going well. I hope it doesn't stall me. I have added ricotta cheese and extra cream so far. It feels good to eat comething different. I eat the ricotta cheese with splenda. Yummy!

Sunny...That cheesy bacon cabbage sounds go good. I think I may make some. It is so great to have you back and in good spirits.

Kathy..I miss you girl, hope you are ok.

Cat...It has been amazing to watch you on this journey. I am truly amazed at how far you've come. Sunny is right, that guy may be eye candy...but you will definately be arm candy and eye candy!

Sherri...I am missing your inspirational words. I know you are here with us. You are doing a wonderful job as hostess!

Liz..you go girl, great job on the weightloss.

Lisa...Glad that your family is safe in the mist of that storm. Was it a tornado?

Lashon AKA Katrissa (I like that name)...You are such an assest to your community. After viewing your web site and reading your inspirational posts..I admire what you do and am happy that you are taking the time to minister (is that what you call it?) to other women. It is so important for women to be strong and have self esteem, especially mothers because they are the first teachers of children, our future generation that we will be depending on in the future.

Marty...I hope all is well. We miss you!

Hi glenda...how is our favorite nurse?

Prya..I hope you are enjoying your trainer.

Catherine....how is Bob? Hope he is feeling better and you are getting the rest that you need.

Godsbeloved....I hope you use this thread for support when you need it.

Tracy, bekka, Dorothy...where are you? Hope you are all doing well!

                        I hope I truly didn't miss anyone!

Sher...Where are you, you have been doing so well with this WOE. Hope you are ok. I haven't seen you post in awhile.

Hi ladies, just coming to check in real quick, im at my stepmoms, and will be gone for a day or so, come to find out, it was worst than we thought, the electric company came and cut the power lines until we get the tree up and now we are without power so we are staying at a hotel, i hate it ugh. We have to wait for the insurance to come out and do what they do, i wondser how long all of this will take, the only good thing is our landlord is letting us take the money out of the rent, but i have 3 dogs as well i had to bring because the temp got down below freezing and it is really cold today as well. As soon as we are back at home i will start the 14 days of being strict. I have to find a whole foods store because i cant find fresh here at the grocery store. I thought i was doing good yesterday and bought some mrs. dash and some oregano and chives, red and black pepper but they were bottled up so not fresh. I found some olive oil that has fresh herbs in it and i checked the ingredients to make sure there was nothing else in it and thank god there wasnt. Well i guess i will go and i hope you all have a great day!!!!

                                Where is everybody?

I've been at work. Today when I took my lunch guess who had the nerve to be eating in our breakroom...the boss lady! I can't believe she had the balls to come in there & eat her lunch. I've never seen her do that. I think tomorrow I'll go sit in her office & eat my lunch. I swear she did it so she could see how long we were taking for our lunch break. I can't even begin to tell you how much I dislike her.

Snowing here again. We got 9.5" last night & todays prediction is 4" At least the sun was shining today!

Hope you all have a fantastic evening. I have a turkey breast cooking. Sweet potato for DH & DD. Steaming some fresh broccoli & cauliflower for all of us. Might make some coleslaw also. Can't seem to get enough cabbage lately!
