Kass, no need to worry. I can't let one man keep me from finding happiness. I deserve to be happy and I will be happy. I trust God that all will be well.

Continue to watch and pray Cat. Please be careful.

I just did the ketostix and it was the second lowest colour/"trace" but hey...I am in KETOSIS!!! *happy dance* I really couldn't be more thrilled. As we all know...those first four days are THE TOUGHEST EVER!!! I made it though. Now hopefully I will start to see results and that will just really motivate me to keep going!
CONGRATULATIONS KATIE!! Just hang in there you will see positive results real soon. I have had to restart too and it's slow but still coming off.

I felt so flabby and jiggly today when I was walking, that I won't have a problem keeping up with my exercise program from now until summer. Gotta do it at least 5 days a week.

          Good night all.

WAY TO GO SUNNY! WORK IT OUT..... WORK IT OUT! I will be starting back working out this weekend.

He is very good looking, too. You stick to your guns! Never, ever settle.

I have only ever used a dating site one time for a whole week. I laid it out what I would not tolerate (smoking, drinking, foul language, sleeping with a man outside marriage) and I got several offers to take care of my sexual needs and one guy sent a picture of himself stretched out on a bed, buck naked, with a beer in his hand. I immediately canceled my account.

I think you are wise to change your goal weight to 160, then see how you feel about how you look at that weight. You can always go lower if you still think you need to. You are tall, so you can handle a higher weight. Once you are working out regularly, you will firm up and look smaller anyway.

            Sunny!

I exercised for 100 minutes yesterday! I hurt so bad that I couldn't sleep well. OUCH! It was cold yesterday, so I had to walk with sweat pants and a hoodie to keep warm, but I was more able to walk really fast and walk the hills twice. It was torture, but I did my floor exercise this morning before coffee and before dressing, so I am back on schedule.

It's cold and rainy today and might snow, so I will go do a big shopping trip and go to the library, etc. We have had so many cloudy, rainy days, but hardly any real moisture is falling. Just enough to make it dreary and miserable. After days of clouds and drizzle, I had to water all my containers yesterday.

Everyone have a happy low carb day and do your exercise!

              Sunny!

I am so motivated! I am really not seeing a difference but my bf said that my pants are baggy today and they really do fall down when I walk! Half the time my undies show! So I have to make sure I don't wear my Grannie panties! HAHA

You are so dedicated!! Ever since this time changed (the week of my period at that) I just can't seem to hardly function from the fatigue. I so need to exercise but just the thought makes me want to curl up and go to sleep. I am going to try to start next week though (get enough sleep over the weekend). My Mom will be here next week (Tashiana's Spring Break) so maybe her helping with the little one will free up some missing energy so I can get back into the swing of things. I am not entering any more contests where I have to pledge weight loss because I want to concentrate on toning which I know will probably raise the weight up a little at first. At this point, I'm not concerned if the weight goes up as long as I'm losing inches and look better in my clothes.

About the pervs...yeah, got a quite a few of them on this site. I just deleted them. I'm going to cancel the subscription to all of them for now because Ray and I have enjoyed talking so much that we decided we would like to see where this might lead without the distractions of talking to other people. Besides, psycho man #1 is still following me around the internet changing his ID and pic thinking he can trick me into talking to him. I will just feel safer with my profile gone off of them all completely.

hey purplecat! can i jump in your thread again? i occassionally read the derby girls posts cuz you all are SO positive and supportive of each other. i love it. and it helps to motivate me as well..........just wanted to say how BEAUTIFUL your new picture is. i hope you are feeling as good about yourself as you look.

and.....online dating. i was a single mom of 2, working full time. my ex had been gone already two years. i had NO DESIRE to date for those two years. i was too busy. then as the kids developed other interests, i starting thinking about dating. would i still remember how to do it? and how would i meet anyone when i was in a classroom all day and in my house with the kids all night? (my church is attended mostly by the senior crowd and there are not many fun adult activities where i live.)

so a pal practically forced me to go online. really and truly, i COULD write a book about my adventures. i met some really really nice people. some were fun but definitely not "the one." others were weirdos who got in under my radar. but i learned a lot about ME.........i KNEW what i did and did not want. i too did not want to go thru what i did before.

my husband had moved to CA from MN and he had gone online mostly just to make new contacts in the area. we talked for a while before we met but he was anxious because he was heading to china for a business trip and wanted to "know" before he left. our first date was the best first date i had EVER been on. we sat and talked til the sun came up! he was leaving two days later and insisted on driving all the way to see me again before leaving. over the two weeks he was in china we emailed and "skyped" from here to china and when he got home we were ready to seriously see what would happen.

                      we were married last june!

funny, we BOTH knew what we wanted in a partner. neither was willing to settle for less. no we are neither perfect but we are perfect for each other. i met some freaks for sure. but i had fun and would do it again. my hubby was worth waiting 45 years to marry. i hope you have fun with your friend ray. maybe he is the one, maybe not. if not that is ok too......you will continue to learn more about yourself and that is always a good thing! please keep us posted. i, like you , did NOT need a husband. i DID desire someone to share all the wonderful things in life WITH. and that is worth waiting for!

thanks for letting me stick my nose in here!!!

Betsy--you are welcome on this thread any time you want to come share! I already consider you part of the family, so come on in any time you'd like.
We are sisters of the heart on here as well as the Derby Girls. We'd love to have another sister! I am loving having all these younger sisters--I am the youngest of 11 children, so I never got to be the 'big' sister to anyone before.

                        Sunny!
