      Yea Todd, our body works in some mysterious ways. It may be relevant though to post your meal plans here in the forum to see if there is something your are not doing right or so.

      Do you drink any sodas or take artificial sweeteners?

          Hi everyone...I'm glad to see everyone is doing AWESOME on here, but I am sad to say, I didn't do so well after that pizza..... So I am restarting induction....I will keep checking in to see how you're all doing and for your great support

            Great job everyone. I did my weigh in this morning and found that I was down 4 pounds which is awesome and more than I thought I would be at. Richard, don't give up man, did you weigh on the same scale at the same time? I didn't and I suspect that my 252 number should have been higher but it is to late now. I also snuck a peak on a different scale that said I was about 5 pounds heavier this week. Scared the **** out of me. So I am just going to stick to my scale at home to stay consistent. Your meals have always been rock solid imo. Are you working out right now? Stick with us through the next week at least, I believe in you. Sirine, I suspect that most of us are going to do induction longer than 2 weeks since there have been some cheats here and there and to help us get through the holidays. We are in this together so don't even think about leaving the group! Bekka, Wednesday sounds great for the next weigh in. Congrats to all. Now, I just got to find a way to make it through the day. Wish me luck.

              Einy, I drink an occasional diet rite but not every day. but most days i drink lots of water (over 80oz.), decaff coffee and have 1 or 2 packet of splenda a day. I will post my meals next week, if my weight doesnt move by then or goes up more.

                MY scale was acting crazy, before i was thinking about going on the atkins diet it would show 225 then it would show 215 at other times. Im pretty sure that I weighed in the morning time at 215 though. I got a new scale though. No, i dont work out im slowly doing the challenges(pushups and crunches).

                  Well, artificial sweeteners do not work for everybody. Although Splenda as per to Atkins is the preferred sweetener, some articles I read over the net and in this forum say it may fire back or stall you big times. Search this forum for "Splenda" and you will get tons of posts talking about the same thing.

                  Best thing to do is quite all sweeteners, I know it is not easy I used to be a heavy soda drinker too, but just try it at least for a week and see if it makes any difference. This is a usual trap for most people on Atkins.

                    SO I made it through the meeting unscathed. I did sample some of the cheese that was left over in one of the boxes which didn't set me off like I thought it would. Here is the problem though. There were lots of left over Pizza and they are now sitting all over the place. Damn, I would love to eat one and take one home for later. I am still going strong though, just barely.

                        Yay!! Future! 4 pounds, just like me! Thanks much you guys for changing the weigh in day to wednesday. It really does mean a lot to me. You have no idea how crazy fast I drove to school today. I actually made it on time, but I honestly do not like stressing out like that at all. I had myself a cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce with no condiments for breakfast and the same for my lunch alongside with the rest of my chinese food that I made. Mmm, delicious. I have had about 68 OZ of water so far and I got about 32 more to go.

                        Anyway, I got home about half an hour ago, and my brother scared the living crap out of me. First off, I don't like him, so this felt really good, and second off, I was pissed off like no freaking other. So, I punched him several times, really hard. Oooh, it was so nice!!! Ya. >> << >> Heh heh.

                        Good job you guys on losing the weight.

                        Future, I am so happy that you did not give in to temptation! See! You're a stronger person already. So proud of you! -muahz- Much props to you guys for sticking through with this.

                        I got work in an hour, and then I'm free for the rest of the night. No more running around for a whole week. Ahhh, relaxation. School has taken a toll on me.

                            Thanks for all of the encouragement. I have an hour and half to go and I think I will make it as most of the Pizza is already gone, most not all. I really appreciate everyone on here giving me encouragement. When the moment of truth came, I grabbed my water and started to chug it and thought about what it would be like to sit at the computer and let you all know that I cheated. The other thing that I kept thinking about was my blue button. I did not want to lose my 2 days cheat free button. I worked really hard for it and if I could last the week I might be able to get a 1 week cheat free button. Isn't that crazy, I won't skip out on Pizza for the health of my body, but I would do it to keep my 2 day button. Its funny how the mind works sometimes.

                            Thank you so much for all of your help. Richard, I was thinking that you should just count the first week as a warmup since the scales were kind of nutty. An extra week on induction would be great for me so we may as well stick it out together, if you go an extra week, so will I. So just have today be your official start day and we will just keep truckin along. If you gain more weight after this week, well then heck, I'll meet you at the Buffet! That won't happen though, I truly believe it.

                              As for the cheatfree button, it seems like the little competition helps me. It helps to make small goals for yourself. Look at it this way, you are making healthy goals for your future. Its not a button its a goal.

                              As for me im not going to quit. I think your idea sounds like a plan, i was thinking the same thing

                                Everyone is doing Great! I am not going to officially weigh in till next wednesday. I am extremely tired tonight. Here is where I am now.
