Ahh, those wonderful cheat free buttons. I really love my button.Here is the thread for them with instructions and everything. Pretty simple, just copy and paste them into your sig line. It may seem like a lot of extra work but I have found it to be a true joy. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...9&page=1&pp=10Well, I made it through the day again. I am starting to notice that I don't crave sweets like Donuts, cake and candy bars as much anymore as there was chocolate cake at work and it didn't really bother me. I swear the Pizza incident from yesterday is still haunting me, I am so glad I made it through that. I am going to pray for each and every one of you here in regards to tomorrow. It is going to be tough. Richard and I are skipping Thanksgiving but it sounds like most of you are going to run the gauntlet. I know that you can make it. It would be the greatest thing in the whole world if we all started this together and stuck with the ANA and ADBB over the next year and eventually got to meat each other much like Emma's group did. However, we gots a LONG way to go before that. I'm on cheat free day 4 and am thinking about where we should meet to celebrate being goalies! Hah, thats just like me putting the cart before the horse.
Happy Birthday Einy, can't think of a better gift to yourself then a new body and the better health that goes along with it. Bekka, I know a bit about what you are strugglin with right now. The SSRI type depressant that you are on has a half life of about 32 or hours or so, after that your body will start to react when you don't take them. If you skip them for a week it will take a week or so to get back on kilter. Sooo... Don't quit taking your pills yet. We will get to the point after a few pounds have been shed where you and your Doc can make the right call about stopping some of them then. For now, just keep on poppin those pills!
Diane, thank you for the kind words. Your meals look great although if I was eating those portions I would starve to death! The only question I have is about the cream. Some of the folks on here have reported that to much cream will stall their weight loss. That may or may not be true for you, just thought I would mention it though. I am really proud of you for sticking it out after a few early slip ups. It says a lot about your charachter. I believe that you will win the battle this time and shed this weight once and for all. Stick with us.
Good luck tomorrow and break a leg...A turkey leg that is!

Mmm.. I keep hearing and reading that "exercise is not an option". Well, I work in the IT field and I cannot tell how hectic it is
. I spend at least 14 hours a day between cables, computers and other devices, etc.
I used to be a hard core biker (~120 miles a week) in the old days when I was fit but just cannot find enough time to get back to it any more
. I think this is one of the things that screwed my weight big times. I wonder how the induction is going to work without an exercise. Any thoughts?

To be honest Einy, I haven't exercised a lick yet either. I am working up to it though. In the past whenever I started a diet I would always go full out right off the bat, salads, bagels and small portions of pasta. If you couple that with exercising 5 times week I would get burned out quick and by the third week I was done for. (If I made it that long) I am working up to it though. I enlisted in the November Push up challenge and have been trying to walk as many places as I can. I live in a really small town up here in Alaska so instead of driving everywhere I have been trying to walk which kind of sucks. I don't walk a lot but I am trying to get it up there. I am thinking of getting one of those pedometer's and maybe joining in on a December Challenge were you try to get so many steps a day in. steps a day. Basically I am slowly building up to the gym. I am much like you and used to be in great shape and loved going to the gym to lift and workout. Those days have passed and well, I am just taking it one day at a time. Right now I am trying to get down my new eating technique as I am trying to get over years of tormenting my body. Living a life where all you think about all day is your next binge is no way to live a life. One battle at a time for me.

I think I feel better, but I am not entirely sure. -.- I just woke up 30 minutes ago, which is a first for me because it's 5am!!! Yes, people, me, up at 5am and semi tired? Not fun at all. I have to work at 7 and I don't get off until 4. Tomorrow is going to be amazing. I think I am going to sleep in til 10am or something like that because I haven't been able to for the longest time. I deserve it too.
Still in ketosis and I feel skinnier! (Not look skinnier cause I am bloated, ew...) =) That makes me happy. I'd love to stay longer, but I gotta do my crunches, take a shower, make breakfast and get ready for work. Oooh, busy girl I be. Have a wonderful T-day you guys!!
And omg! I can smell the turkey and it smells amazing....must eat some now....so tempted to...

Hey guys... Im just kind of jumping in here. I started on the 19th so Im in the right place I guess!! Bekka, I had seen you replied to one of my other posts on the board, thank you for that! Congrats on doing so well to you!
Ummm things are good for me. I feel satisfied with my food so far!! I don't feel like I'm missing out. I already feel slimmer and more in control. I DO get major cravings in the evening. I find out if I work out in the evening its better. Helps me distract myself from wanting sweets, chocolate, slurpees etc.
I'm just looking forward to seeing 140-145 lbs !!!

Well my thanksgiving turned out different than i thought this year. At the last minute I got invited by my dads family to Ryans, a lunch buffet...so my chance came back around to test me to see if i would cave in...
But i did good and did NOT cheat. I ate a salad with lettuce, cucumber and tomato, and a little bit of salad dressing. For the meal i passed up the dressing(believe it or not), and got ham, and broccoli and green beans and turkey, and i didnt stuff myself, i ate sensible. (My family was surprised that i didnt get any dressing.)
I guess im alot stronger than i thought.... Well i hope everyone has had a good thanksgiving.Restarting Atkins April 9th 2010

Good for you for not cheating!!! Sounds like you had a great dinner...you should be proud! I am still cheat free and now feeling the signs of induction flu!! Major headache, icky feeling. Thats good though, means I'm doing something right.
As for pics of the kids, you opened a can of worms now! haha. I'll post some, or try to.

I just thought of my mini goal #4 "reward" ... Im going to JOIN BELLY DANCING! I have always wanted to do this, I have the bod for it...but I need a boost of confidence and stamina before going. So this is awesome. I'm glad I found something that I not only feel is a reward but its also good for me!!

Welcome to our little thingie majig Kristen! Glad to have you aboard. And look at you! You're very gorgeous and your children are adorable!! I could just squeeze them and oooh, I'd love to be your baby sitter. =P Too bad you live in Canada. =/
So, how is everyone's Turkey day?
I feel so much better now. Woo. I am so glad that little emotion fest is over. My goodness, it was annoying and distracting. I still dont feel like associating with people, though, which is weird, but whatever, it's all good. I'm glad I had work today, I really needed that extra money. Mmm, money. Delicious.
And I haven't cheated yet!!! ^_^ My mom says the Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie is only 7 grams of carb (which I don't believe....) , but I still won't eat any of it, even if she forces it down my throat. She knows I started this way of life and they just love having to torment me during dessert. If there are any Sugar Free Jello cups, I am so having one of those, if not, I'll eat more turkey. Delicious!!!
Anyway, umm, have fun you guys! I'm so glad to have you as friends. =)

I totally failed today. Noone held a gun over my head, but ... my friend DeAnna invited me over for dinner. Everyone kept saying, Daina its thanksgiving, one day is not going to kill you. So I started out strong. She made 2 things of dressing and a thing of mac and chesse ... my favorite. The menu was turkey, dressing, yams, bread, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, gravey, cranberry, pies, cake, ice cream and punch.
I did not get everything.
Okay here is my day.
Breakfast, decaf coffee with wipped cream
Turkey bacon
devilled eggs
16.9 oz water
At DeAnna's
Diet tea
9 oz water
Turkey
dressing
yams
cranberry sauce
caulfour salad
greens
mac and cheese
piece of pumpkin pie
peice of cheese cake
20 min after I became sick and tired.
i am so tired I can not eat anything else.
I did not touch the bread or mashed potatoes.
I am so sorry everyone. I feel like I failed everyone and myself.
I did not take any of it home. I felt so bad I skipped B's house and came home. I hate it. OKay, they was saying at my friends house that whipped cream is nothing but sugar. But it says no carbs. Is it sugar or not .. i thought Dr. A said we could have it.
Tomorrow a no - cheat day.
