4/7 Good for you Bill! I have no doubt whatsoever that you will accomplish your challenge!!

Well...I kinda picked a bad day to get some big time energy and motivation. I spent the day in the kitchen trying new recipes. Why a bad day? Because it is the day before weigh in. Oh well..it is what it is. I may have gone a bit over in the cheese department today. I tried 5 new recipes.
    Revolution Rolls
    Stuffed Mushrooms
    Stuffed Jalapenos
    Simple Broccoli Salad
    Sloppy Joe Pie

Will have to post them all in my recipe thread soon.

I must like my own cooking because I liked them all. I will tell you that the funnest to make was the Stuffed Jalapenos. What was the fun part you ask?? Well...the fun part was watching my kids faces and seeing them run for the water and milk after I grabbed their tongues with my fingers that I had just washed from taking the seeds out of the jalapenos...Too funny! Made me think of your poor dog and cat Bill....LOL!

Well tomorrow I am starting rung 1...I think Monie is too. I am going to start a thread there so when you all decide to move up you have someplace to call home. Of course I will still come here. You can't keep me away!!

    Exciting times ahead!!

Hi everyone. Well.....it works! I had one scoop (5g) in a bottle of water (total no taste to it all all) and about half an hour later I felt like I'd eaten a HUGE turkey dinner. I wasn't just not craving sweets, I had a definite feeling of being FULL. I couldn't have eaten if I tried! It lasted for hours. I thought I'd better eat something so I had a couple of pieces of ham, roast beef, a cheese string, and a wee bit of romaine lettuce with dressing at my mom's. No thought of anything off plan at all.

Now, to be honest, day 2 is never a bad day for me. Normally it's 3, 6, or 10. So, we'll see as the week progresses what happens. I'll have to be careful when I take it, because I don't want to stop eating all together, just at trigger times. Just as a side interest, I've had luck in the past with green tea, but it makes me so not hungry I forget to eat. It has an accumulative effect.

I was never very good at the supplements either, but I started taking vitamins back in December and finally got the habit to stick! It's been years in the making and now I've got it. I've slowly been adding to my blend. Today, along with the L-Glutamine, I also bought some fish oil (in capsules). The first one I've ever had that didn't give me bad after taste. I plan to add the borage and flax oil soon to round that all out.

If taking these things will help the process and ease the back sliding, I'm all for it! I wish I would have been brave enough to try it a long time ago. All the stuff sounded so funny to me and I didn't know what it was enough to trust it. I would recommend anyone out there who's on the fence, jump off now, the water's warm!

      Have a great evening everyone!

LOL..hey leave those kids alone! hmmm Jalapenos seeds huh? Wonder how animals would react too them?...nah never mind.

Wow were up to 30 pages now..wonder if new Bud's are not coming in and joining us because we have so many pages?

wonder if we need to start a new post, telling people about the old post, so they can post, and read all the other posts to help them with thier posts and use the previous posts for inspiration and motivation?

or we could always ask your friend of a friend of a friend of your cousin's wifes brother what to do?

Tommorrow--you seem so happy! WTG! the people on this board are great! they have so much advice to share. Glad they were able to help you too!

Yahh...Tomorrow! Keep it going. You can do it this time!! I totally suck at taking any pills of any kind. I have some Flax and Chromium sitting right by my puter and that doesn't even work. I am so glad that you have found something that worked for you.

Bill...it was too funny! So glad I didn't scratch my eye or something...while that juice was on my fingers.

Re: list getting long. That could be...I think I had intended to start a new one weekly in the beginning but this was going so well and everyone was interacting that I didn't want to mess with it. I was so happy people were interacting instead of just reporting in. When I was on this list before I was in charge of a weight loss goal challenge. I think what we did back then was keep the same thread for a week and then start a new one. I would put a post saying it we were starting a new thread and the link for it at the end of the thread and then everyone would move to the new thread. Could do it that way. You do that tomorrow for this list. I will start the one in OWL and do it that way as well...what do you think?

If you don't think that is a good idea and I will ask my friend of a friend of a friend's wife's brother what we should do...

hello here in buddy land!!!!! wow 30 pages to this thread!!!! we are a bunch of jabber jaws aren't we. i think starting a new thread would be alright. you could call it "looking for some buddies, 2nd thread" or something like that.

we went to our blues concert(it was in an outdoor ampitheater), but the headliner only got about 4 or 5 songs in before they called it off because of a huge thunderstorm that was rolling in. hubby swears he's never going to another outdoor concert.

i went to that store today to get my new inserts for my shoes. wow, i could tell a difference right away. my feet stopped hurting within a few minutes of wearing them. i bought 2 different inserts, a smaller on for dress shoes and sandals, and one for work. i can only wear them sparingly for the next two weeks (increasing the time each day) so that my foot can get used to them, but i really think they will help. they were quite expensive, but if they make my feet stop hurting, they will be worth it.

i'm hoping that once my feet get straightened out, i can up my walking and jogging. i feel like i've gotten in a rut since i can't go longer than maybe a mile before my feet start killing me. i always want to go longer and harder on my walks, but haven't been able to. i get really amped from my walks, even the short ones.

well gotta go do my challenge exercises, so hope you all have a good night.
                    monie

How about Buddy List June 23-29?

Well that sucks about the concert! I hope that doesn't happen here. DD (10) is in a fiddle group that is one of the opening acts for the 3 Tenors on July 4th. She informed me today that a boy asked her to be his girlfriend and after thinking about it during lunch time she told she would be. SIGH!

Hope those inserts work for you feet!!!

Good idea - also it needs to be started in a different forum and this one closed (with a link so others can trace you) as you will not be on your first 14 days of induction.

If you are all moving to OWL then that would be the best forum for it, or otherwise int he Main forum so people at different phases will feel comfy posting there.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

IMO, since this in not a "topic" thread that doesn't change in that way, we could leave it, it can be pages and pages and it would signify how happy wer are here. Then it is easy to find our "home" here, people will be checking in just to see what the 365 page thread is all about! JMO. (Oh, but what to do when we arent on 14 day... where will we move? Especially if some go to the rungs and some go to extended induction?? Better get a Real Estate agent fast! LOL Ya, we should probably must move to Main, then make it permanent??)

Elsie, thanks for the new punishment idea for the kids! LOL!!

Thanks for the info Tomorrow!! I guess bf and I are leaning toward staying on induction till we get this wt off, it is just too simple now that we have figured it out. We may have to use your potions in case it gets tough!!

Today I start exercising FOR REAL! I have the sitter coming in 1.5 hours so I can study, so I have that much time to clean house and workout a half hour with the kids, will check back later Buds!!

Hi all. I think the main forum idea is a good one, mostly because of the many roads we could all take after Induction is done (or not done...ever...in my case - sigh).

Day 3 for me on re-induction and I've already dropped 5 pounds (what am I, a camel, sheesh!). It would appear that I won't have too much trouble undoing my badness...only 3 more pounds to go until I'm back where I was before the "incident".

Does anyone have any ideas about these supplements and when you should take them. I know a lot of them say to take with food, but other than that, I could end up taking 9 different pills first thing in the morning. It may not really matter, as long as I'm taking them. I'm just wondering.

                            Thanks buds!

Okay...for some weird reason I have lots of mixed feelings over this thread and the proposals for it. Reading everyone's comments put me on a hold for a bit. I did not start a thread in OWL as intended. I feel protective or something. It actually took me an hour and a half to respond to this as I worked out my feelings.

I guess since we all want to stay together to support each other then we need to move where we can do that so we are able to continue to support each other no matter which rung we are at. So that would mean the main forum. And in the interest of the more buddies the better we could start a new thread every week with a link on the old one to the new one. What do you think??
