    Elsie, I didn't have quite a cup of the salad cuz it would have been 10 carbs.
    I had the stuffed pappers, the pepper being the veg, I just had no carbs left, usually I don't even have that many, but that salad is a killer, I dont think I will make it often. A lot of points for a cup of veg. Yeah, most days I do have a salad, and usually I don't do the aspartame, in the jello. I also had a bad day with cravings! That may say something!! Today, I forgot to even eat till 10:30, and am not even hungry for lunch yet at 1:30, but I am going to have a little something anyway. I know we are doing dinner, chicken on the grill and a SALAD! Then the date night thing, I am going to have a diet coke at the theater, knowing it isn't the preferred sweetener, but I have to have something!! I understand the possible consequense though. Anyway, thanks for all the advice, and thanks for the rep point Bill! TTYL

          Oh..Bill..the recipe...it would have to be halved. Elizellen let me know that flax is limited in induction. So you would only be able to have half of it. I guess with the sweetner it could be used as a snack or a SMALL dessert??

            ok--thanks for the recipe..need the flax..taking a teaspoon of pysillium husks everymorning GAG..DR A suggested to take a fiber suppliment but didn't say which.(looking at something called Fiber 1 now ).need to find one soon..I'm one of those people who need help moving things along..

            Dang-- a hulla Hoop, wonder if they still sell them--bought one for my daughter once when she was 4 or 5--she asked something dumb like: Daddy how do you do it?..havn't seen it since...

            Val--I am Rereading the book--and I think your doing and eating fine! day 9--5-6 pounds..DR A says your on average so far, to be at the exact "average" range of all the women after 14 complete days.

                Mine seems to be working fine today. Though yesterday I kept getting these linkback emails to threads I had responded awhile ago. They were annoying.

                    hey y'all. i'm sorry i didn't check in yesterday, just got busy after i got home from work, and then was too tired to check in last night.

                    i didn't make it for my walk today, my feet are killing me this week. i am on my feet for eight hrs at work everyday, and i just can't seem to find a shoe that is comfortable to work in. plan on going to a place called "the good feet store" to get some inserts for my shoes. the ones off the shelf at the supermarkets just don't help anymore. if these don't help, then i'm probably gonna have to go to podiatrist(sp) and have some inserts made. anyways, since i didn't get my walk in, i will just step up on my challenge exercises.

                    speaking of the challenge exercises, it's funny you mentioned the hula hoop challenge, bill. i was seriously thinking about buying one to start that challenge next month. i think i've seen them at walmart. i'm sure that my DH will get a kick out of that. lol

                    tonight's dinner was really good. i made the hamburger crust pizza tonight. OMG!!!! it was awesome. i kinda experimented with the sauce, since i couldn't find an actual pizza sauce that was low in carbs, i just used tomato paste. i wanted something kinda thick, i thinned it a little with water, but just a little bit. then added some olive oil, and italian seasoning. topped it with a little mozz. cheese, and sauted my onions, green peppers, and mushrooms, and also heated my pepperoni in the skillet just a little before adding it to the pizza. it really turned out pretty good. even DH like it. the hamburger shrank some in the dish, but that made it very easy to get all the extra grease out of it.

                      Yummy yum yum..going to make it as soon as I use up whats in the fridge..have a turkey cacciatore in the Crock from Linda's site..I put all my veggie's on a cookie sheet--sprinkle Italian seasonings and olive oil and broil..carmalization brings out awesome taste--use it everywhere or eat it as is..
                      I believe if you go to a pedia. they will stick each foot into a foam box and make your inserts from the impression. hope you find relief soon

                      Hulla Hoop--hey remember the rules tho...upload video for us bud's to -umm-make sure--umm--that your--umm--doing it right! yea that's it..make sure your doing it right!

                        LOL! You two and your collection for the video, LOL! Anyway, I was sooo good today, I can't even believe it! I really do believe that the aspartame in the jello 2 days in a row caused cravings, bf agrees too. Today I had none, till at the movie tonight, I had a diet pepsi, and then was hungry after that, I just drowned it with water on the way home, and when I got home.

                        I confess, I was going to stop for a nightcap, which I know is a no-no, but bf fell asleep on the way home from Duluth and there was no waking him up! LOL! So thanks to him, I did not cheat! Tomorrow night, however, we have a wedding dance, I think we will do just fine though. For the record though, I googled ketosis, and it said that alcohol will not knock you out of ketosis, it will just burn the energy from the drink while it is in your system then return right to burning fat again. So that was my reason why I was going to maybe stop for one, but I am glad that I didnt, actually.

                        I got the book in the mail today, so in all my free time, I will be looking it over.

                        Bill thanks for taking a stab at the CV System for me, ;P I was studying sheep heart printouts all the way to the movie, what a date I am, huh?? See how hard it is to juggle all that?? It is overwhelming, and to top it off, no exercise again today, darnit!!! I took every free moment to study, and I have been told I need to unspoil the baby, so working on that too, lol! Being a preemie, we have spoilt him a wee bit, and its baby boot camp from now on! Starting with napping by himself, mom does not have time to nap, he needs to learn that! ... and he needs to sleep in his crib, that will be next week's lesson, wish me luck!!

                        The hamburger pie sounds good!! I made the fauxtatos tonight, from Lindas site, they were great! I think I could fool the kids with that one!!

                        **The Zohan movie was waaaay dumb, what a waste of $16. Can you believe the cost of movies these days??

                        I will start an exercise challenge this time around!!! Hope you all had a great night!! I am going to study a bit before I go pass out.

                        *ETA: Btw, I am feeling lighter, my jeans aren't tight like they were before, and I feel a little bit more comfortable in my skin, didn't feel like covering up with my jacket in the 80 degree heat, lol! So things are happening, I can tell, and I am happy with that!!

                          uh..hmmm.....no video clips of me with that dang hula hoop, heck i still exercise in almost complete darkness in the living room now as it is......can do my squats, crunches, push ups and leg lifts in the dark....isn't that funny that i can't even stand to look at myself exercising with the lights on.........sad really.

                          hey val, i thought of a way you could maybe sneak some exercises in while you study.....what if you got some small dumbbell weights, maybe 1 1/2 to even 3 lbs and just do arm curls while you are reading online or reading your books. just sit there and do one arm at a time changing arms every so often. you could maybe get a few reps in each day that way. it might be hard to concentrate while you are studing, but just had an idea. you could even do that whenever you are watching tv too. any extra movement would be better than nothing.

                          bill- the place i want to get my inserts from, they don't make the imprints of the foot, but somehow they measure your arches(just found out there are actually 4 arches in a foot not just one) and the choose which inserts will work for your feet. i've gotta do something, after 7 yrs at my current job, and for 11 yrs previous jobs of standing on my feet 8+ hrs a day, on hard concrete floors, they've done a number on my feet.

                          well, i guess i better go, i should've been in bed about an hour ago.

                            Monie...yes...they sell hulahoops at Walmart. Have also seen them in some dollar stores. Hope they can help your feet. Pizza sounds sooo good! Can't wait to see the video!!

                            Val...well that is too bad about the sweetners...but at least you know and now you will be able to warn others that it could happen. I think you will enjoy the science of Atkins. Good for you for not having a drink tonight. And while it may not kick you out of ketosis it does stop burning fat while the alcohol is in your system.

                            Anyhow...late...I am going to bed. Niterzzzzzzzzz

                              Hey you all!!! I am so glad I did not cheat and have that nightcap last night, because..... I am down 7 pounds now, on day 10!!! I am so excited, this is my first mini goal!!!! Woohoo!!!! Hehe, my stomach looks different today, like my body decided to just get rid of a couple of pounds there overnight, like indents on the sides instead of being round, lol! I will def need to do some toning before this battle is over!!!

                              Thanks so much to you all for being so encouraging. If it wasn't for this board, I would bave probably given up by now. I do believe that the sweeteners, the aspartame, anyway, was stalling me!! And I have you all to thank for getting it down to a science!! I know there will be ups and downs, but this will be such a fun ride with you guys! Thanks for checking in and supporting everyone, for all you do!!!

                              OMG, I bet hula hooping would be really good for the abs, actually! Doubt I can do it anymore though! LOL, that would be a good U-tuber for sure! Good luck with the comfy shoes!! That can mean the world! K, hitting the books now before the peanut gets up!!

                                Yah Val!! Weigh to go! Oh I am so glad you didn't have that drink yesterday! You know one of the lessons you might have to learn on Atkins is patience. Your body may be one of those that hangs on to the weight for abit and then WHOOSH off it comes. You will need to be strong on the other times. Of course cutting back on the artificial sweetners played a part as well I am sure. Enabling your body to release the weight.

                                Love the group hug and this is such a great support group here!!
